"THE SWEATER SONG"!!!! & "SAY IT AINT SO"! Weezer is always different! I saw them open up for Blink 182 ( would LOVE for you to discover them!!) at Jones Beach, in my opinion, the best place to see a concert. I feel blessed it was one of a handful of concerts I did get to see before my disability really changed my life. Took my freedom. But thank you for helping me get music back in my life. It can be the best therapy!
Yes, Buddy Holly died in a plane crash in 1959. Also on the plane were artissts The Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens. Valens was the subject of the 1987 movie La Bamba with Lou Diamond Phillips playing Ritchie. Great movie. As for this awesome video it was staged to make it look like Weezer were performing in the hit TV show Happy Days,. which ran from 1974-1984 and was one of the most popular shows on TV for most of that time, and it spawned a couple of spin offs too. A lot of pretty famous people were associated with Happy Days. Rocker Joan Jett even had some cameo appearances as Leather Tuscadero, a female rocker that was an old flame of one of the main characters, Fonzie (played masterfully by Henry Winkler). Leather's younger sister Pinky Tuscadero was played by another very well known female rocker named Suzi Quatro. But back to Weezer...SO MANY great songs you could listen to! Hash Pipe. Say It Ain't So. Undone (The Sweater Song). Beverly Hills.
Some corrections: Suzi Quatro was the musician that played Leather Tuscadero. And Leather was the younger sister of Pinky. Pinky (played by actress Roz Kelly) was Fonzie's gf. Joan Jett was never on Happy Days but was supposedly inspired by seeing Suzi in that female rocker role.
You should react to American Pie live Don McLean sings about The Day the Music Died and of course that was when Buddy Holly the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens went down in the plane crash in 1958 if you haven't reacted to Don McLean you'll love it
Love Weezer! Some of my favs are 'Island in the Sun', 'Beverly Hills', 'Say It Ain't So' & 'Hash Pipe'. Also fun is their recent cover of Toto's song 'Africa' (Weird Al Yankovic stars in the hilarious official music video).
Oh I watched this on Happy Days lol ….. Rico you gotta go now and do some of the Buddy Holly songs …. Buddy Holly is the music my mom grew up on well till he passed away . She told me the story she and her friends skipped school the day after He passed away to listen to his music on the radio . That’s why she didn’t get mad at me when my friends and I skipped school when John Lennon was murdered to listen to the ZOO out of Dallas . Buddy Holly was the first White Person to perform at the Apollo in 1957 his band the Crickets was booked by mistake . Keep ROCKIN
Have you seen Happy Days? It helps if you have to get the funniness and nostalgia of this video.Like that you do like that song it's very cool we'll thought in every way possible.Weezer very interesting band.First song I can remember by them was Undone. In 2016 they covered a lot of Toto songs, very very well done. One of the songs videos has one of the kids from Stranger Things for song by A-HA and another video has weird Al Yankovic for Africa song cover of Toto.

Fun Fact: This music video along with Edie Brickell's Good Times music video were included on the Windows 95 install discs. So in 1995, every Windows 95 computer had those two videos on it. The fact that you could watch a music video on your computer was amazing. We take the small stuff like that for granted now a days.
You should check out Bowling for Soup "No Hablo Ingles" or "1985" or "High School Never Ends." These guys are super funny and love what they do. There is no shame in their game
You can't appreciate this video if you don't know the amazing job they did with it they literally took a real TV show and inserted the band in it and the guy doing all the dancing in it is Henry Winkler check out more videos directed by Spike Jones
I was 9 when this came out. First CD I ever bought and the first time I ever saw video playing on a computer (it came with "windows 95") The CGI to blend the band with the show "happy days" (from the 1970's) was mind-blowing at the time.
