Always amazed how much you here when your in stealth mode sitting in the tree. Every twig or branch or the leaves being the loudest noise. Makes me forget about the outside world and appreciate Kelly's world.

Good clip for starters and basic hunting. Refreshing once again to see ya outside your norm. What until you are on foot for more than 2 days in survival mode, ( optional) ha. hunting to survive. Thats when you are living outside your body. Nothing like maintaining a psychological advantage no matter how difficult the journey in gods country. Great job! Keep it up. ! Doing great.

Kelly: girls who hunt are awesome. I've never used a tree stand. Hunting in Wyoming and Idaho is somewhat different that Florida. The best hunting is always at dawn or just before dark. Bear meat isn't that bad, you just need to make sure it is fully cooked because it can contain parasites like pigs, and it is a little greasy. If you get a deer, make sure you cut out the tenderloins right away as they will dry out if you leave them in to age. Cut them into pieces about 3/4" thick, roll in flour, salt and pepper to taste and fry the pieces in oil till brown on outside all the way around. A couple of minutes before they are finished, pour in about 1/2 cup of brandy and cover pan. Remove meat and let it rest. Mix flour and/or cornstarch with milk and add to liquid in pan. Cook it down for about 10 minutes. serve the meat with mashed potatoes with gravy over the top. Wild rice can also be used. Good luck with your hunting! Wayne

If I was in charge. I would have ordered Kelly a Tree lounger from Cummings Georgia. It has a great return policy. It's the strongest safest and most comfortable stand on the planet. In 30 years of setting in a tree lounge I think if something was better I would know

It can be difficult to get the right shot without self filming, especially bow hunting. You did great getting the footage you did and nice job on waiting and not taking a risky shot! You will get one. I started hunting when I was 6 and didn't kill my first deer till I was 12. I'm 31 now and I don't know how many I've killed at this point. Just saying that the more you go the more you learn and you have a great companion to show you the ropes in BlueGabe. Keep doing what you do! You got this

We have Black Bear here in the mountains of northern Va. into West Va. Yes, ppl do eat them but it's not as common as eating deer. More ppl eat squirrel, or make rabbit stew than bear steaks. Anyway, great vid! Keep up the great works!!

You’ve experienced the adrenaline rush of deer hunting!.... you’re hooked!

My grandpas hunting gear-- Overalls n a thermos... Tree stand? Fork in the tree..

Kelly, I'll tell you the same thing I told Gabe. Get yourself what is called a saddle for saddle hunting. Look it up. Your viper weighs 22'lbs without pack straps or anything else. I use an Aero Hunter Flex that weighs 2.5 lbs., I one stick up the tree and that weighs 1.5 lbs. My platform weighs 4.5 lbs. All total my system weighs about 12-15lbs. I can climb any tree and hunt 360 degrees around a tree. I'm always hooked up to the tree so it is probably the safest system. Since you and Gabe are coming to Illinois and if your close to Alton, IL I will meet you and Gabe and give you a down and dirty course in saddlehunting. Something to think about...especially if you have to pack that climber, pack and all of your camera gear.
