We really loved how we could walk everywhere, and the cross walks were so easy to cross. We were in Vietnam before the Philippines, and we risked our lives to cross the street because nobody stops for pedestrians there!😮

Have you been back to visit Manila since you grew up? Everyone has told me how quickly things have changed and grown there even in the last 10 years. We were very impressed! ❤️🇵🇭☺️

My wife and I were there in 2019 but yes we need to visit again,just from watching a lot of vlogs it’s really has change,I’ve seen a vlog of Manila American cemetery and it right there were you are and want to see it for myself since I’m a U.S. Veteran,it’s the biggest US cemetery outside the mainland,I think it holds more than 50K soldiers including names of MIA

Wow, that restaurant sounds amazing! We didn't have time to see more in our 6 days in Manila before moving to Bohol but we definitely need to put that on our list for next trip! I think we will need at least 2 more trips to see everything we want to in the Philippines!

Thank you! We were very impressed! It seems like our malls in America are dying, especially after covid and everyone buying online. The Malls were much nicer and more fun in the Philippines. Also nice to get in the air conditioning to escape the summer heat! ☺️

BGC is definitely at the Top of our list for a possible home base. There are so many really nice condo complexes there to choose from, and the cost of living is pretty good when converting from our US dollar! ☺️

That is very true. If you can lock in prices now, it will definitely go up in value by completion! I think I would want one that I could live in when I come in town and use as an AirB&B when we aren't there.☺️

We only spent 6 days in Manila and will definitely return to see more! So many people told us to skip Manila and go right to other islands, but we're glad we didn't. Don't feed them of wrong information. Ube or Purple Yam is already in it's name a Yam not a Sweet Potato. Sweet Potatoes are in Morning Glory family, while the Yams are on the Lily family. Yams aren't as sweet as Sweet potatoes and they are starchier and drier, their texture and flavor are more similar to Patatas(potato) or Yuka(gabi).🤓

@@WorldFamilyExplorers By the way, try garlic fried rice with sisig, bacon, corned beef, longganisa sausages or beef tapa, all served with egg. These are mainly breakfast dishes... I think that you could find some of these items in Jollibee and McDonald's, but you could also find them in fancier places too.

It was cool the many different things we tried that had Ube! At first we weren't sure if we liked it that much but the more we had it the more we acquired a taste for it! 😋

You have Clark Air Base, which was once the largest base outside the U.S, Subic Bay Naval Station both approximately 50 miles north of Manila. You also have Corrigador Island where the American and Filipino soldiers made their Final stance before surrendering to the Japanese that led to the capture of more than 60,000 Filipino and American soldiers being captured and later were forcee to March 65 mies in 5 days of the infamous BATAAN DEATH MARCH. Lot of history of the war in the Pacific. Loved it there where I was stationed at Clark Air Base from 1988 unti the base closure in November 26, 1991 due to the eruption of Mt Pinatubo. It was my best assignment in my Air Force career. Philippines will always have a special place in my heart. Enjoy your stay there and stay safe always.

I finished out my 20 years in the ARMY NATIONAL GUARD. I knew very little about the Military history of the Philippines but I definitely want to learn more and visit the cemetery and my museums on our next trip to the Philippines to learn more! 15:06 oh and also, if you're talking about the Philippines "own unique" coffee, we have this coffee called "Barako" or kapeng barako, that's the closest thing i can think of when it comes to "coffee that's special to the philippines. Filipinos do indeed drink coffee a lot

Thank you! We just started our channel on our first year, and we have noticed Filipinos enjoy watching RU-vid more than any other country. It is also great that everyone speaks English and it's easy for our kids to communicate and make friends with local kids, which was not the case in other countries...
