BGC would never be featured by CNN and BBC. Mainstream media would describe Metro Manila by showing Divisoria or Tondo. No wonder foreign tourists get surprised seeing the modern areas.
I agree, everytime the Phils is featured by BBC and most documentaries I've seen only ever features the slums and dark criminal underworld like - Most dangerous place in the world to be a bus driver - Ross Kemp Extreme World S6 Ep 3 - Stacey Dooley Investigates not the same but 90 day Fiancé (remember "you're so Road"?) The only other interesting docu I've seen was The Wonders of Life with Prof. Brian Cox when he went to see the Taal Volcano Lake. You get the picture.
Agree. Even on a business feature of Jollibee's expansion in the U.S. they would show snippets of our local, crowded satellite market areas and a brief show of the facade of Jollibee's headquarters looking up without featuring the plush area.

Noel Balde, those are one time article from years ago. What the OP meant are the videos that CNN and BBC show whenever they feature the Philippines. Do they show BGC when they talk about the Philippines? No. They show the slums of Tondo and other squatters area.
While in Manila, go visit Intramuros, the historic walled city within the city. it’ll be an entirely different yet special experience for you guys. And George, yes, a haircut and a shave please😊

Visit Taal Volcano and its lake and its historical town, beautiful beaches of Laiya town of San Juan, hidden jungle resorts of Lobo, Calatagan and most of all one of the great wonder of the world, the Anilao diving and snorkeling beaches where you find half of the worlds number of corals as per National Gegrapic..Lastly, in behalf of all the Filipinos, I really appreciate all your effort in sharing how beautiful Phil's is. Also, to Mike and Ñellly. Tak3 care always. I'm jealous to be honest coz its been a while since my last Phil's visit. If you wanna taste the best coffee, how they do it direct from the farm visit Lipa City. Here also where you find the best spa resort that you can ever imagine located right in the middle of the jungle called The Farm at San Benito… You can stay at my house for free. Cheers. Jim
For men's haircut, try Bruno's. They have a branch in Uptown Mall where you were today but I'm sure they have a branch in Makati too. Do visit INTRAMUROS known as the walled city. So much history there if you want to know more about the country. Do ONGPIN for an epic food trip. CHINESE NEW YEAR is on Feb 5, so it will be quite colorful and festive in ONGPIN Chinatown nxt wk.
i love watching travel vlogs because its REAL more than watching TV series or reality tv cus actually TV series and movies or even reality tv are not real. Vlogging is REAL - travel, food, culture, positivity, adventure , learnings, interactions. these are REAL! keep it showing george and lucy! travel vlogging is more powerful now than any other TV series. its the trend cuz its REAL. real happiness and real love. people needs it now adays.

Awesome guys....it's exactly why i LOVE Metro Manila too. It has many faces, never a dull moment. Other trendy spots in the metro include Eastwood City, Filinvest/Alabang, Ortigas/Captial Commons, Greenhills/Promenade, Araneta/Cubao, Solaire/City of Dreams/Okada casino resorts, a historical trip to Intramuros (Spanish influence) and Chinatown in Binondo.

It's amazing how you go through traffic because your videos showing you moving from one part of the city to another is very fluid. I understand the magic of video editing. It must have been very stressful to go to different points of interest in a day and coordinate your movement and schedule with others (e.g. Mike & Nelly) when traffic in the city is horrendous. Varied. That's exactly it. Even in Manila. Beautiful chaos. Mish mash. The rich and the poor.. You'll see amazing buildings and skyscrapers, then suddenly a knock on your window by a poor young child selling you something to help the family survive. I always encourage visitors to experience the good and the bad of Manila. Its many sides. So many other folks dismiss it, but to experience it is to experience what so many Filipinos experience daily.
Your vlogs are sooo great huhu I wish you could visit Cagayan province in North Luzon. There you can find different beaches such as Sta. Ana and Palaui Island. In Palaui island, the Survivor challenge happened before. You can also go to Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur. It is the heritage of all of us Ilocanos. There you can find HISTORY of our country through the preserved historical houses, cuisines and lifestyle by locals. Here can be some of your destinations there *1. Laoag City* *2. Vigan City* *3. Hey guys, I watch FinnSnow's videos and if you arent leaving the PH soon maybe you could ask FinnSnow on some of the places hes been to in the PH. The more isolated islands not touristy. It was a great adventure for him, took some great shots, and also just being happy with his life with his friends and other adventurers. As much as I like watching you guys drink coffee and walking around. I think watching you guys being happy and laughing is much better.
Just a piece of advice. Don't dare explore Quiapo, Baclaran and Divisoria. The place is so crowded and there are pickkpockets and snatchers everywhere. Don't be a victim!

But then you’ll be missing the other side of the coin which may be exciting too. Even in paradise there’s always the Elois and the Morlocks. Just don’t carry valuables and important docs e.g. passports and visas. And don’t act like tourists 😁
For cheap and quality cameras, I heard there are surplus amounts in Quiapo, Hidalgo Street. But you just have to be careful there due to pick pockets, etc. Also not sure of the situation of the shops there due to the pandemic.
New York is very overrated! Manila is much more beautiful! BGC (Bonifacio Global City in Taguig), Singapore, and Chicago are alike! I'd been to these places (no bragging) I can tell you NYC is just a city with lots of buildings.

If you are looking for camera, Quiapo, particularly Hidalgo st. Is where to go. The price is about 1/3 cheaper. And since you are there, why not explore the area, it has a century old church and Chintown is just 10 to 15 minutes walk away...
Hi, if you want to explore the Philippine Historical Places, you can visit Vigan in Ilocos Sur, it's a heritage city with century old houses. You can also visit, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, it's an open air museum where several old buildings in the country who got destroyed or demolished were preserved to its original state. Las Casas is also a resort and you can stay in one of those historical houses. If you dont wanna go outside Manila, there's the Intramuros in the City of Manila, it's the fortified "Old Manila" area, with its centuries old walls and gates.
Enjoy your staying in the Philippines. Here in uk is snowing 🌨, very cold. George you might want to have a haircut where Mike had his haircut in Makati.
Come up to Antipolo city, east of Manila, maybe 1 hour drive away from BGC of course with traffic, without traffic probably 20 minutes. Have dinner around cloud 9 and see the sunset like no other! And the view overlooking the entire metro manila is simply stunning. Talk about varied, you will be surprised.

Historical places are in luzon...I'm from Mindanao and I really prayed to come one day to that place and visit the historical places like intramuros, bataan, Rice Terraces and etc.

I get why Glorieta is confusing. because unfortunately a bad accident caused a portion of the mall to be demolished and replanned. But since they couldn't replan the whole mall, they had to redevelop one area for now. So the multi-level is a temporary condition. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next few years.
