First Time In GUILIN, CHINA! | XINGPING TOWN 🇨🇳

Welcome to Guilin! We took a DiDi (taxi) from Fanjing to Tongren, then we took the train from Tongren to Guiyang North, and then finally another train from Guiyang North to Yangshuo. Although it was a long journey, it was absolutely worth the trip! We made it to our accommodation for the week in Xingping Town, and I can't wait to share a couple more videos of our adventures around Guilin, Guangxi.

You like eating pork belly very much. The most delicious pork belly is called Dongpo pork, which is found in Zhejiang and Sichuan.In ancient times, a Sichuanese named Su Dongpo went to Zhejiang to serve as an official and invented this dish. He is one of China's great poets.

The place where you drink coffee has a very ancient stage, which can be understood as an ancient private cinema. This type of building is at least 100 years old and very rare.

The huge bird in front of you at 12:59 is a cormorant, 鸬鹚 in Chinese. Cormorants used to be a major way of catching fish but are now more of a tourist attraction.

wow finally pulling out the big vocabulary, I only heard you say ni hao until this episode 🤣 those are fishing birds. their necks are tied so they can't swallow the fish they catch when they dive from small rafts the fisherman use. it's a very old way of fishing and from what I heard is dying out since it's not worth doing nowadays. I think those are for tourist experience only. how's the pasta 😅. I remember the first time I was in china, after about two weeks I was dying for a burger 😂

The scenery from the drone's perspective is excellent, and we look forward to good weather tomorrow (the tropical season enters the rainy season in the middle of the year). It is strongly recommended that you taste the local characteristics: 螺蛳粉 and 桂林米粉, which are very thick Rice noodles you see. You can choose mild or mild spicy, very delicious.

If you are still in Hunan, China, I recommend you to go to Jiuzhaigou, the lake there is like a rainbow, it is my hometown

Driving a scooter through the village is nice.but just remember to put the helmet on if you want to drive. And there's a lot different flavor noodles in Guangxi province.And so many fruits are cheap and delicious. 'dragon boat rain' season started from May 19, so it might rains and no sunshine in these days.

Have you been to Yunnan and Xinjiang? These 2 provinces, in my opinion, have not only the most (in terms of numbers and intensity) diverse and beautiful landscapes, but also the most diverse ethnic minorities. Sichuan also has very beautiful landscapes, eg. Jiuzhaigou. Tibet also one of them. Cities don't do as much for me as quaint small towns and natural landscapes.

@@kierantravels For Xinjiang you will need a car...and at least one month, I think that's barely minimum, as last time we drove 8k KMs but still very rush. 🤣Perhaps you can organize/join a group to share costs (China has some travel websites for such purpose) and hire one, still that maybe challenging to travel with strangers you just known from Internet. 😁
