SARA E CRIS, VOCES TEM QUE CONHECER FLORIANOPOLIS , OU MINAS GERAIS NO BRASIL

Love the video! I’m from Brasil myself- from Salvador-Bahia, and I’ve only been to Rio de Janeiro once and I need to come back with my American wifey so we can explore it together 😍 Loved watching you guys experience some beauties/goodies of my country! I couldn’t help not noticing that you compared brigadeiro to chocolate frosting- NOOO!!! Frosting are so disgusting to my taste buds hahaha Also, SUGARLOAF MOUNTAIN??? Noooo hahaha it’s Pão de Açúcar! We don’t translate Big Apple (NY) grande maçã you gotta be truthful to it’s name hahaha love the video tho!! Go to Bahia as well… you gonna love it!
And it's SO easy to make: Brigadeiro (Brigadier) - Melt a spoon of butter with a can of condensed milk and 4 spoons chocolate powder. After cold, pass some margarine in your hands (so it doesn't sticks) and make little balls and roll choco sprinkle it. Beijinho (Little kiss) - instead chocolate powder add shreded coconut Prestígio (Prestige) - Throw the shreded coconut while cooking the Brigadeiro (or the choco powder while cooking the Beijinho). It's like 10min cooking and we call it "pan brigadeiro" because we eat straight from the pan cuz we can't even bother rolling them lol
WOW!!!! So many different fruits and veggies, totally amazing. Sara... that brigaderios looks like "death by chocolate!" Such a great treat. Then the tranquility of the park and beach bench, a nice respite to take a break and just catch your breath. Can't wait to see the video from the mountains. Until next time... Travel Safe.
Brigadeiros are very easy to make. Only three ingredients: condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder. When you go out to buy them they are sold rolled in a ball like that, but when we make them at home we pour it onto a plate and eat it with a spoon.
Oh thank you!! I don't think we've gotten to visit there yet. We're planning to go back to Rio before we go home so we'll be sure to check those out! :)
Awesome surprise Tuesday video. Got off work not long ago so I'll make some coffee to go with my bath and an awesome video. Thank you guys so much! Your videos are always a pleasure and great information and plugs for these beautiful locations.
Hey Clay!! Thanks so much for always watching and commenting. Your encouragement always makes us smile. Thanks for letting us hangout with you on your Tuesday. :)
Thanks so much for watching! We absolutely love Rio and can't recommend it enough. Really hop you get to make it there to experience it for yourself one day soon! :)
I loved to see Sara's expression when she had har first bite from brigadeiro. It looked like she was just creating new childhood memories just so she could had an emocional nostalgia from that taste. If that's the case, we salute you as one of us ❤ If you like pão de queijo and brigadeiro you are already half brazilian ❤
The smile out of Chris when the guy blows is nose was fantastic! You guys are definitely living your best lives so don't move too fast through it........feel it... let each moment enter your soul....and soak up every last inch of it up. LOVE>FEAR ❤
Thank you so much for that wonderful reminder. We're definitely trying to take every moment in and we're so thankful to be here. It still doesn't feel real. ❤
Beautifully shot and edited! For those of you who don't like hot and humid, better time to go is during the southern hemisphere winter, June - August - still beautiful warm weather, but not nearly as humid.
I'm so happy seeing people from other country come to my home town and enjoy it so much. I came from a family that could afford take me to those places since I was very young, but brazilians knows that it isnt for anyone, its really expensive. Imagine multiplying all the money you spent by 6x, and divide our minimum wage by 3. For lots of people, your video is what they get and you guys brought this message in a magical way. So, thank you very much for that.
Loved to see that you guys enjoyed Brasil a lot, you’re always welcome! Come to Northeast too, we have so many beaches, beautiful sights and a lot of different food and culture! I bet it will be great ❤️🇧🇷
Glad you have so much fun! Next time you must see “Desfile Especial das Campeãs” or “Desfile das Especiais” which are the best schools of Rio De Janeiro. Also, if you have company look for a Quadra de Escola de samba, is also amazing!
If you want to read a work of fiction about the sculpting of the statue, I recommend The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. It’s set in Rio mostly and is based on research about the process of commissioning and construction of the icon.
Oh awesome! Thanks so much, Bob! I've never heard of that book but I'm definitely going to look it up. Sounds like a great read for hanging out on the beach in Rio. :)
welcome to Brazil! a suggestion. visit the city of São Paulo too! São Paulo is the largest city in the Americas with more than 12 million inhabitants and also in territorial expansion, São Paulo has many museums and various types of art, great quality cuisine, and São Paulo is also known for having the best pizzas in Brazil ! São Paulo's pizza is much better than New York's. There are many tourist attractions that you need to know, one of them is the Liberdade neighborhood known as the biggest stronghold of Japanese and Brazilians of Japanese descent outside Japan in the world. get to know São Paulo, you won't regret it! by the way São Paulo also has beaches like Rio de Janeiro, but the beaches of São Paulo are on the Paulista coast, some of them: Ilha Bela, Ubatuba, and Santos and others. Have a great week. ❤🇧🇷
They're so fit because they simply don't eat as much food as we eat here in the states and also... because they cook at some. fast food isn't prevelent.
9:04 sorry to be this person, but you guys were literally robbed paying 11 reais (around 2,31 dollars) in a brigadeiro. normally, it's not more than 5 reais (less than 1 dollar) in normal places. this cafeteria you guys went is opened since the colonial Brazil, so it's really expensive and overrated. but, beside this, i totally loved the video. it's always a pleasure to have visitors that appreciate our culture that much.
I'm so glad you guys are enjoying! As a Brazilian, you guys made me wanna go back and visit! Just be careful walking around at night, Rio (as beautiful as it is) is one of the most dangerous cities! Have fun!
Brasil is my favorite country to visit. The best food, people, and places. -Figueira Rubaiyat restaurant in Sao Paulo -Rafting in Brotas -Tour indigenous tribes, rainforest hikes, and animals in Manaus -Beaches in Barra Grande, Jericoacoara or Fortaleza
Agreed! Brazil is absolutely AMAZING and we've only scratched the surface so far. Thank you for those recommendations! We'd especially love to visit Manaus on this trip if we have the time. :)
@@chrisandsara I would recommend a video of a American family living here that visited some places I will try to find and send for u guys so u guys can see.
@@chrisandsara its true I live in Brazil and could not find time to do everithing I want traveling inside Brazil. About Rio, it also got great moutain cities with waterfalls, rivers and more of a countryside vibe. Look for teresopolis, penedo, maua, maringa and other gems!!!
Thanks, Daniel!! We've absolutely LOVED your country and are planning to extend our trip because we love it so much. Thanks for making us feel so welcome!
10:44 Its almost emotional to see a foreigner having this type of reaction eating our Brigadeiro for the very first time. Its extremely sweet but it brings childhood memories for every single Brazilian :) clap clap clap
@@chrisandsara It is super easy to make! 1 can of sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 stick of butter, 4-6 TBSP nesquick. Stir constantly over medium heat until it thickens up and starts unsticking from the saucepan. And instead of spending time rolling it up in balls, just grab a spoonful at a time!
What a cute, respectful and interesting video about Rio. With only this video I could notice how you guys were really interested and passionate about the culture. I'm glad you had a nice trip to my home city!!!
Thanks so much, y'all! We can't recommend Brazil enough! It's been such a wonderful experience so far and this country holds so many amazing places and experiences.
I’m still dreaming about the fruit and coconut water in Rio! When I was there we were able to get a tour that got us up to Christ the redeemer before any of the trains and our small group were the only ones up there. It was a REALLY early morning after a night of Caiprianhas, but was incredible to see the views when it’s empty.
Oh wow!! I wish we had be able to get the same experience at Christ the Redeemer! I'm sure that it was incredible with no crowds. Wish we could send you some fruit and coconut water here through RU-vid. :)
Tapioca is really healthy, comes from mandioca which is a vegetable, I like to eat this for breakfast. Is a indigenous Brazilian dish that comes from the northeast region of the country but is popular everywhere.
I love it!! So glad you are enjoying Brasil. It’s been almost 20 years since I was in Brasil and watching this video took me right back. I could almost taste all the food you were trying. As far as it being hot, it is very common for Brasilians to take multiple showers in a day.
Try a caju (cashew fruit) beverage. My favorite that is not really available in the US. I don't like the fleshy texture of the fruit eaten whole, but in a drink it is sublime.
The fruit really isn't that great to eat and often used to be thrown away. But as others have said, it makes a very nice fruit juice and is also used as an alternative to limes when making caipirinha (a type of batida or fruit cocktail).
Beautiful video. Chris will buy 4 more of anything that brings Sara that much joy... ❤ I loved the way the train took you up to the statue of Christ. Enjoy, y'all. ❤ I loved the very last still shot. Above all else, the light of the world.🙏
Hope you are venturing out to other parts of Brazil. In particular other beaches. With so much coastline, I think there is a beach to meet everyone's preference it's been a couple decades since I spent a month there. But I think the beach is their key to staying fit. People from the US just lay out and sun bathed. But people from Brazil are so active on the beaches, no one is sitting down, much less laying down.
Wow when y’all were standing next to Christ the Redeemer I didn’t realize how large it is. ACTUALLY CRAZY! And I need every single desert in Cafe Colombo
Cafe Colombo is a delightful place that makes me think of Paris in the golden pre-war era. Indeed Rio was another of the places such artists and intellectuals would visit back then.
Absolutely loved your video. So light, easy going, colourful and with great vibe, you showed different aspects of a daily life in the city it felt almost as we were there too. Also the last video at night views, with Christ Redeemer lights afar, it was a beautiful blessing, thanks guys.
Your Fast cutting editing was OUTSTANDING! Love love this video you two seem so happy and well….now we want to go to Rio!!!!! Excellent video guys!!! ~Cara 😊
So nice! I really hope you'd get a chance to know more about Brazil. Like a deep dive. I live in Natal, which is in northeastern Brazil. Wish to see you visiting Salvador, Recife, Fortaleza, Natal...
That fruit looks amazing! Your faces are priceless! Chris when the man blew his nose & Sara eating the chocolate ball are hilarious! I love açaí bowls! I thought they started in Hawaii. They are delicious wherever they started! Can Kramer get any cuter in the backpack with his paws resting on your shoulders? So sweet!
Hello, we just arrived here in Rio (I think we’re staying at the same place) anyway… do you have to purchase tickets in advance for Sugarloaf mountain or can you buy them there? We’re taking your advice and going Monday at 4pm:) ~Carrie
Hey Carrie! Great to hear from you and welcome to Rio! ☺️ we didn’t purchase our tickets in advance for sugarloaf (but we did for the train at Christ the Redeemer), but you might be able to. Our hotel concierge was perfect for asking questions like this so I would check with yours! Best of luck and have fun!
Hey Guys, you should visit the south of Brazil one day, it is a very beautiful place. Parana [Foz do Iguaçu, Curitiba], Santa Catarina [Joinville, Florianopolis]. It is another side of Brazil that is extremely beautiful.
Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
I know we have so many problems to deal with here in Brazil but on the other hand we have a lot of other things to be proud of. Thanks for choosing to visit our country. Next time you come here make sure to go to Northeast region.
