Boleh bah kalau kau! Thank you for watching! In case you missed our last vlog (Borneo is not like the rest of Malaysia): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TCLdY4nOVhY.html Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe!
Make sure you guys keep your leech socks for Sarawak hikings! 😃 So glad you guys are in Sabah now and going to head to Sarawak soon. Don't forget to check out the belacan in Sarawak. The belacan in Sarawak is a cottage industry, not done on a factory scale. There is also a "wet" version! Ivana's response: "Oh yeah, it's just another mountain" when people suggested you both visit Sabah... honestly, that is the kind of response we always get. 😆 Always. Malaysia is a stopover for tourists who are more keen to visit Vietnam and Thailand and Bali... To them, a visit to the the peninsula is good enough to draw an impression of Malaysia. I have known a few expats (NOT tourists, ya!) who have worked and live in KL during the duration of their work visa (usually three years), visited many places in the peninsula but never step on Malaysian Bornean soil. 😆😆😆
Hope you'll enjoy stay in Sarawak. I recommend get in contact with global gibbon ru-vid.com a "localized" Netherland live here in Kuching, a youtuber as well. A collaboration would be a great thing since he know his stuff here.
As a Sabahan, I sometimes feel like we hit the jackpot of being born in this magical place... We had the most beautiful mountain, and unbelievably breathtaking islands to snorkel/dive... we had such a diverse culture but everyone is living in harmony and peace... all kinds of religions are allowed... i just hope every Sabahans will maintain and preserve our natural forests and do no harm to the environment, not only for the sake of tourism but for the future generation...
In Malaysia, Sabah is one of the favorite places to go for holidays for Peninsular Malaysians. We in Sabah have cool crystal clear rivers (Kota Belud district ecotourism), beaches, islands (literally in front of Kota Kinabalu city and those in Semporna - eg; Sipadan) and mountains (eg; Mount Kinabalu)... plus we have by far the cheapest seafood in all of Malaysia. :D
Cant really say there is a favorite place depends on the mood but you have choices between Island, mountain and parks downside is that its just far and wide from each other. Try the cheese fried rice at plaza tg aru is quite a unique dish at coffee & friends cafe. Seafood in Sabah is the best in Malaysia so got try that, suggestion of restaurant is lobster sembulan restaurant near tq aru area or masakan sedap restaurant at hilltop area. Go for siput tarik if you ok with snails or mussel taste than siput tarik would be good. Masakan sedap restaurant has salted egg bittergourd which I believe you guys would like.
Yes, I'm from Selangor. We rent a car and drove up the mountains through Crocker Range towards Tambunan 3 years ago. Sabah is fantastic and picturesque but I missed going to Kundasang and other part because we went there on a mission not for holidays tour. Enjoy your trip in Sabah Steve and Ivana, I will looking forward to seeing more of your adventure in Borneo.
Never been to yet, but I wanna stay at that Igloo camp! I really loves the vibes of that stunning place! Can you find out how much it cost per day please? Thanks Steve and Ivana!
The rain is on purpose it's like a big reveal, I still remember the moment I arrived at Ranau, it's heavily cloudy and I couldn't even see the mountain, and right the next morning, it's like what you guys have seen. ❤️ Best reveal ever 🤩
I lived in Kota Kinabalu from 2007 to 2017. Now I'm back in Sarawak. I miss the scenery in Sabah. I used to drive from Miri to KK. Hope to be there again as soon as the Brunei border opens again.
I have seen Mt. Kinabalu with clouds and without but now with a rainbow or two. Great timing! Steve & Ivana. It certainly looks magical, even better than many sights in Hawaii. Hey! Steve, the only way you could make that moment better is if you pull out a ring right in front of Ivana 😀😃😄😁.......................
I am from Selangor and been to all the states in Malaysia. For me, Sabah is the best state for tourist. The nature, mountains, sea, beaches, people and the food all top notch.
Sabah for the beaches 🏖️🤿 hikes 🧗🏼♂️hot springs 🧖🏻♀️ Mt Kinabalu ⛰️ & SeaFood 🐟🐠🦀🦐🦑🦪🐚🐛🦈‼️Always 💙 Sabah. As for Sarawak, it's the Pinnacles ⛰️ Caves 🦇 Forests 🌳🌲🌻Danum Valley, River 🏞️ Expedition, Sarawak laksa🍜 & Kolok Mee🍝‼️😋💪🏻🦾💚 EnJOY bah! 🤗✨
Of course, even among Malaysian Sabah and Sarawak is a must place we have to go once in a lifetime for tourism. I'm so glad to be born in Malaysia that's full of diversity in everything.
I have such wonderful memory with Mount Kinabalu. So much fun, but never got to return to climb again. I have the feeling that the mountain is like telling you both, "chillax, you are at the right place to recharge your soul and spirit" (especially after all the horror you both went through from the last trip) Double rainbows are very special. God is watching over you both.
Wah... my home town Ranau... hopefully you don't miss Desa Cattle Dairy Farm Kundasang, Poring Hot Spring Ranau, Arnab (Rabbit) Village, Ranau Paragliding Park, Fish Spa Tagal Sungai Moroli Luanti Ranau, Rabbit Farm, Kinabalu Park Ranau, Sabah Tea Ranau, Kundasang War Memorial, and many more. welcome and enjoy your stay!
Mount Kinabalu is so beautiful! The double rainbow! Made me teary-eyed too! I hope you guys made it to Danum Valley as well. I'm a Sabahan in Florida following you guys in my home state. Thank you bawak saya jalan-jalan. Rindu Sabah, rindu Malaysia.
Need improvement on the waste management at the water villages. They discard plastics indiscriminately into the sea. Very very unfortunate. Otherwise, the islands are just as beautiful as thailand and philippines.
I stay at kk for 10 years and now back at peninsular. I really miss kk , so many memories. The culture, the people and scenery is amazing. Always excited when we go to kk city. I hope to live in sabah again.
I'm pretty hardy. I can hold a durian gloveless. The rainbow appearing in the video choked me. I don't know why. Maybe it brought back my own memories of Mountain Kinabalu a few years ago. It's something I cannot describe about this place but the rainbow scene just got me at hello....
Not just her crying with the views.. its make me crying too !! truly magical 😭 likes jump into a disney animation world.. i'm so jealous with u guys now
I think if you skip Semporna you wouldn't miss much as it's literally the dirtiest city in Malaysia. most people go there for the island but tbh there are better island all around Sabah
Lanz FranCheese's suggestions are great. Pick the paragliding and the Fish Tagal (rearing fish in the river or free range fish rearing). NEVER EVER forget the islands!!! They're heavenly. If you stop by at the cattle farm, you might think you're not in Malaysia. 😂
@@aruf5936 that just it…people go to Semporna not for the Tawau city,, but for the islands, and the view from the top of Bohey Dulang Island…the fact that most hotels are fully booked explains it all.
Hey steve & ivana♡.u guys are so lucky to have reached Sabah 🌏.hope u guys are happy with tasty foods & scenic view of Kundasang.do climb the mount Kinabalu it will be a new adventure ⛰🥀🌳🌵🌿☘🍀🌱🌵⛈🌨🌩..takecare & stay safe 🤗✌
Like I say before Sabah and Sarawak is like a whole new country by itself. You guys were very lucky to get to see the sun set and also the rainbow. It’s really amazing.
@@JetLagWarriors Sabah and Sarawak is totally different from Peninsular Malaysia. You will have to explore throughly to get the best travel experience. Glad to know that you guys are enjoying it.
I used to visit my grandpa in Kampung when I was a kid. He used to bring me to padi field and one of his tips for me to avoid leeches was to smear (?) or scrub our calf area with salt coz Leechez cannot stand salt. I always use this tips whenever I went hiking, I'll scrub my socks and calves with salt.
WOW, the drone shot is truly amazing! Nice job Steve and Ivana. I hope you can see more side of Sabah and Sarawak (not forget Kalimantan & Brunei) Not just through the eyes of tourism aspect. But, through the eyes of normal daily life. If you guys in Borneo Island, you can say "Manuk/Manok" (mean Chicken, yes the Chicken) to any tribe in the whole Borneo. We understand it generally and regarding the word BAH. You can say Bah - Bah to indicate agreement or simply the way saying Yes in your conversation with Sabahan. Thank you to everyone who made a lovely comments about Sabah and don't forget to my brothers and sisters over Sarawak and Borneo Island generally 🥰 Note: The "whistle" sound you heard is actually sound from Cicada.
D nature n its beauty, a splendor of paradise. Thanks for sharing this wonderful video n big thanks to d tourism of Sabah for hosting u guys. D place u guys stayed is heavenly.
I still remember, I went to Sabah in 2011, they always served a small bowl of soup in every meal i ate in the restaurant... They said that's how they eat whatever kind of meals, always with a soup. Niceeee.... ☺️ 👍
Soup and lada, kicap, cuka condiments on the table to self mix, if you like. In Semenanjung we call it cili.. in Sabah we call it lada. Oh and sometimes white pepper for the soups
It's especially when you see such beautiful terrain, that you realize that our planet is unique and we got to take good care of it. Climate change is real and can devastate our beautiful planet. Enjoy guys! Thanks for taking us with you everywhere.
These rainbows are magical and the very view of the mountain and nature... wooow. Just the rainbow marks the month of pride, June in the gay (my) world. Thank you for such wonderful vlogs. Kisses from Serbia 🏳️🌈🌈🇷🇸
I could hear some birds singing while you were watching the rainbow and sunset. I read in the papers that Sabah has a new species of mystery monkey with black and yellowish hair which is very beautiful. Maybe you could see one.
uhhuh! you got it right! that's why it's my fav state in Malaysia. only been there 3 times but every trip is super magical. i can't even describe with words! 😍😍😍😘😘 I'm from Kelantan tho.
This vlog is the best! The view of Mount Kinabalu after the rain the fog,and the rainbow ! its magical! You are so bless Steve & Ivana to be able to experience the moments.Sabah definitely will be in my travel list- !!
Hi guys 👋 sorry I was a bit busy these few days 🙏🏻 welcome to Sabah bah 👍🏻 Really great idea to get a service of tourist guide so you could explore Sabah better , you would not miss the beautiful tourists attractions 👍🏻 I’m in love with Mount Kinabalu too super amazing view with the double rainbow... wow I’m really in awe 🤩 seven stars ⭐️ nice beautiful glamping you got there close to nature overlooking the mountain and valleys , this is truly a million dollar view my friend 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Yeayy...dinners arrived 😂 I think it’s the best method to have nice warm food sent at your door step so you both could enjoy quiet time together having delicious food , enjoying the nature all around...what could be better 👍🏻👍🏻🥰🥰😘😘
The kampung Adidas are rubber football shoes with studs. The studs give great traction in muddy & slippery conditions. Great rainbow, staying in the clouds. Typical crickets sounds. Enjoy Sabah !
Travel to Sabah for the majestic picturesque view & scenery to have unforgettable memories in your lifetime; Travel to the peninsular (esp. ipoh & penang) for the food! Such a majestic view of the mt. Kinabalu with the magical rainbow you have there 🏔 🌈 Bravo! Proud being a Sabahan! Sabah tanah airku 🎶
Wow that was a mindblowing breathtaking view of mount kinabalu right in front of your balcony.thank you Stevie & Ivana for showing this to the world.surely this was a memorable for both of you & us to witness this in your vlog...keeo it coming ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 6 star !!!😎
You guys so lucky to get the chance to watch that double rainbow.. magnificient view! Enjoy your trip. A lot more to explore & enjoy in Sabah. Love from Kuala Lumpur.. 👍❤🤗
HAHAHAHA 'Adidas Kampung' .. it a joke childhood sabahan to make fun our friend if their buy new shoes for soccer.. Because at that time not many child can afford the authentic adidas shoes..
I'm from KL, been to Sabah a number of times. Land Below the Wind, great place, great people and great food. I've not been up Mt. Kinabalu though but my son did. It was an exhilarating experience for him. Your video makes me want to visit Sabah again. This time with my wife..Cheers.
4:40 it is funny how you can accept sambal belacan now... actually, sambal belacan is very addictive.. especially thouse with calamansi. super sedap. 5:03 that satay looks like indonesian version, Sate Lilit. 6:21 i am drooling!!!! i love young mango, especially it is made into salad known as Kerabu Manga. 7:31 "boleh bah kalau kau" < sound like a pickup line (flirt) ~ 😁
Belacan Sabah is fresh esp the red one.. mixed with calamansi it becomes the best kind of fresh sambal ever... Sabah belacan is different. Reddish and soft belacan is fresh.. dark reddish is already 2 or 3 weeks old. The darker and harder.. already not fresh.
@@JetLagWarriors actually, in west malaysia, they do have calamansi for sambal too, but you have to ask for the calamansi, and it is not always available. some of the stalls selling curry laksa practise this (calamansi upon request), and with calamansi in curry laksa sambal, the taste is leveled up!!!! yummy!
@@JetLagWarriors Ivana do you know what else calamansi is good for? Plain old Indomie Goreng. It elevates the taste to greater height. Put it right before you start eating and mix. Sooooo good haha
Wow!, wow!, what a spectacular and beautiful view amidst the mountainous there comes the rainbow 🌈 😍 despite a m'sian..I discovered through your vlog,tq.you guys enjoy as much as I do watching.
My mother used to wear the adidas kampung aka adidas tambunan, whenever she went to paddy field and to the sea to catch fishes and crabs etc. My mother known as nenek ketam....miss her
Wow… Sabah is really welcome you guys with shower of ❤blessing & the magical rainbow 🌈 was super duper awesome. Unbelievable 👏👏👏 It’s a really mind blowing place to stay. For me it’s a 10 ⭐️ no doubt about it. What a warm embrace by the nature 🍄
