I TOTALLY agree. Honestly, we extended our trip there by a week or more and I still didn't see enough of it. Taiwan for me is not finished yet at all!!!
Perhaps next time when you are planning to take local train or normal train, it's suggested that you use easy card instead (i.e. yoyo card in Mandarin) or use iPass card (For me, I choose iPass over easy card). But anyways, using either card, that'll be faster and easier to hop on any transports (underground, train, tram, bus, bike). As well as that, it's allowed to be used in many shops.
Hi Josie. If you get a chance, hope you can go try out a hair salon! Even though it seems the weather is hot, you might also enjoy going to an all you can eat hotpot place. Most of them have Haagen Daaz ice cream. Go during lunch on a weekday -it’s much more affordable.
Debby THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! What!!!!! You are so kind and generous!!!!!!! What!!! Haha Thank you!!! Wow. I unfortunately have clean hair and we have since left but I promise I will put this aside for when I go back and get my hair washed on you! 😂 Funnily enough though a couple of days ago we lost my drone in the jungle (crashed into a tree in Taiwan) and so I feel a bit of stress so this donation from you has almost made me cry with your generosity. 😂 Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
When she said “local train” I was yelling nooo at the screen. But then I saw it was the EMU3000. It would have been painful to stop at every station on the older local train model.
Judging by your accent, I assume you guys are Aussies. You might want to check your camera settings if you're getting excessive flickering from indoor lighting in Taiwan. I believe their electricity is running at 110V and 60Hz, while it's 50Hz in Australia. The differences in power line frequency is the main cause of light flicker in videos.
Josie thank you for sharing these Taipaei videos, I'm actually going to be travelling there solo in march and It's been so refreshing to come along for your genuine reactions and experiences! Thay have been super insightful and have me even more excited for my trip!! are you guys planning on going to Jiufen old street? or Ximending?
Thank you so much for this comment!! I've been so busy with vlogmas a video every day I am behind on comments, but I'm SO glad you love this content! I love making it! I'm So excited for your trip now, too!! haha, we went to Ximending! I have a vlog up from there! I think it was my first time in Teipai video I think. 😊😊😊
Man just looking at this video make my feet hurt, you guys could walk! You haul your luggage and walking that distance with a camera and able to talk through out most of the journey, I wouldn't be able to! Thanks for the great vlog, this city looks lot better through your lens ;) Hope you enjoy your time in the city!
This vlog is going to come in handy for me! I'm going to Taipei for the first time in Jan, staying in Beimen and planning to explore Ximending on my first night 😊
Hi, welcome to Taiwan, youtube just recommend your film. The Taiwan train system only operate in one single line. Normally, if you purchase a "Local train's ticket"(區間車). The ticket will only shows the destination but without any train register number. this kind of train usually will stop every single stations when passing by and it usually serve very frequently in daily basis, you can choice to take any one of them as long as you have purchased the ticket, just make sure the train is heading to the right dirction (i. e. heading to North or South) before you step on.
Hey josie. Loving this second channel too. Love how you keep it raw here. I have one question. What’s the best currency conversion app that you guys use while travelling? Coz I see you using it a lot and it makes total sense to get an idea of the expenses while travelling. Thank you and more power to you girl.🎉✨👋🏻❤️
Woo thank you!!! That’s the idea. There’s so much more than an edited first day that happens when you travel, definitely want to show everything over here. Glad you’re loving it!!! 😁😁 It’s just an app that’s called currency, I actually think it’s just on the iPhone I don’t think I even downloaded it!! Haha. Thanks for watching! 😁😁😁
@@josievlogsthings Awww thank you so much for the info.☺️ Also I wanted to tell you that I’ve been watching a lot of couples travelling and vlogging together but the way Micheal’s knowledge adds info to your channel is the best I’ve seen. You both make a great team.💕☺️✨
9:51 hmm I don't really think so bc it is very cheap and fast. I guess what you saw were 100 NTD hair cut shops, and they are very popular. But yes, there are sussy money laundry shops, and usually they would be the 24hr glasses shops or 24hr helmet shops lmao
Hi, there are many tourists who buy a local ticket and expect to take the express train. This is not allowed on the puyuma ltd exp, Taroko ltd exp and the new emu3000 tze chiang ltd exp(自強3000). If you do get on these trains with a local ticket, a penalty of the full express fare times 1.5 will be imposed. It may not be a lot between zhongli and taipei but it helps to avoid the embarrassment and any potential conflicts. So your ticket can’t actually get on to “any train”. Enjoy your stay!
@@josievlogsthings Yup! I’m more concerned about potential tourists who might find themselves in that situation (as did my friend, and had to explain it to him), thought I shared a word of caution.
There is no sidewalk in this part of Taiwan to walk on. I’m far from an obnoxious tourist. If you think that, you clearly haven’t watched much of my content. Ps - keep it that way, don’t come back.
