The thing about the two Thai assassins - the reason why he didn't kill them is because they didn't kill HIM when they could. Remember, they had TWO opportunities to just straight up kill him, but they didn't out of respect for him. And because they showed him that respect, he showed THEM equal respect by not killing them after the fight. They're two of the very few people that have fought John Wick and lived.

I heard they are so good at martial arts they had to slow their movements down so Keanu could keep up, because it was one of the last actions scenes they shot and he was tired, and he’s like a little older so he was tired. In real life those two guys are some of the deadliest and best martial artists in the world.

The last fight was an homage to a famous fight in a Hall of Mirrors in the Bruce Lee film "Enter the Dragon". It's been copied many, many times, but this is one of the best versions!

Fun Fact: the really tall assassin, Boban Majanovic is 7’4” and when Wick breaks his neck over the book, they didn’t use special effects. Boban’s neck can just do that naturally.

The whole couch is excommunicado for thinking Mark Dacascos is Geroge Takei Also I love how they gave an in-universe explanation for why 50 year old Keanu Reeves was moving so slow in his fight against martial arts masters, Cecep Arif Rahman and Yayan Ruhian aka the beasts of The Raid and so many other martials arts films. Rewatching the movie I saw how telegraphed all his moves were throughout the film, but idc. It's John Wick, it's fun.

The gunshot in the pool at the hotel underwater where the bullet stops, that is actual real world physics. Firing a gun underwater, the bullet isn't gonna make it much further than 5 or 6 feet. the expanding and collapsing bubbles behind it are also very realistic. Either they shot that bullet for real underwater, or they did a bunch and composited/CGI it in. Either way, ONLY time I've ever seen that shown right in a film. Damn this movie goes hard. It's so freaking good.

I don’t remember how many times I’ve seen this movie, but I still keep finding references to other movies. The “Guns, lots of guns” was directly from the Matrix movies. Also, when John arrives in Casablanca, the man who rescues him says “Welcome to Casablanca, Mr. Wick” is a reference to the main character in the Humphrey Bogart film “ Casablanca “, whose name is Rick, but most of the characters call him “Mr Rick”.

There is not a single person on this planet who has seen the eyeball scene and not squirmed in their seat (seeing everyone's reaction was the best part of watching it at the theater). Winston knows John is wearing a bullet resistant suit. Will leave it at that. The pair that John fought at the end are on the choreography team and have done other amazing movies besides (The Raid Redemption, for instance). Having them in the movie and everyone showing respect for each other was a shout out to them.

Don't know how "in on it" Winston was, but I think he at least wanted to give John a chance to survive by shooting his armored suit. A gamble, yes, because he still fell off a several-story building. But at least that way he had a chance.

apparently the reason people don't care about the killing is the same reason there is no police showing up anywhere and don't arrest any assassin like in the first movie when some policeman showed up to john's house and didn't do anything, it's a universe where assassins are a normal thing and the high table has too much influence in the governments around the world that they didn't do anything about it

John Wick voluntarily cutting off his ring finger and handing both it and his wedding ring over to the Elder is probably the most unforgivable thing in the franchise. Everything he did in the movies was either for his wife or her memory, so this made no sense.
