I'm French and this song really means something to us. It has been heavenly sung by an amazing singer (Grégory Lemarchal) who died from Mucovisidosis, who made it his signature song. I have to admit, i'm really impressed here. Dimash sings it at the perfection.

As for a little background, Dimash is 26 and 6'3". He plays 7 instruments and sings in over 12 languages. Both his parents are singers/musicians. His dad writes music lyrics and mom specializes in Opera. He's been singing since the age of 5 and holds multiple degrees in singing and music composition. He's currently working on his PhD. He has a 6 octave singing vocal range, almost 7 with vocal fry. He's a fusion artist because he blends techniques from all genres together seamlessly but seems to focus on contemporary, classical, folk, and rock genres. What really sets Dimash apart isn't just his singing but also the way he performs. He's taken a masterclass in theater with many profound people. Also notably, he has perfect pitch, he's really fit, he's extremely humble, and loves humanity. He reminds me of a modern day Michael Jackson in that sense. He has sung a few tributes in honor of him. He also idolizes Lara Fabian who is an extremely popular artist in Europe who sings in many languages as well. In my opinion, he's a modern day Bach/Mozart/Picasso/Leonardo. He sings, composes, plays instruments, directs, acts, plays sports, and models. To me, he's by far the best singer in the world, male or female. You've really seen nothing yet. He sings higher than Maria Carey and lower than bass in Opera. As for the performance, it was on a Chinese show called "The Singer" back in 2017. Dimash was put in as a wild card contestant meaning he was the only foreigner. He's from Kazakhstan. The show puts professional artists against one another so... it's not like X-Factor. It's if you put all the top singers and rappers on the radio into one show, and see who won, this is that show. Also for the record, Dimash has billions of views of this performance SOS on the Chinese RU-vid video platform today. It went completely viral after it aired in 2017 and Dimash basically became super well known overnight. For comparison, there aren't too many videos on RU-vid with over a billion views in the US. This is much bigger deal than most realize. Also, China is a communist nation and has a lot of censorship which is why YT doesn't exist there. SOS was his first performance on the show, and basically not many people knew of him beforehand. The standing ovation is basically how the world saw him after this performance. Today, Dimash is well recognized all across the world singing songs for movies, video games, and TV. He sang his first concert in the US in December 2019 at Barclay's Center, NY. Dimash calls his fans dears, because they are "dear" to him and his heart. I'm sure if you continue to react to him you'll become dears soon too! :) p.s. Why is it that you feel you have to be the marketing department for Dimash? Every reaction video I see with Dimash has some fan posting a bio very similar to this - I don't see fans of any other singers do this, why do Dimash fans feel it's necessary? A quick point if I may, people understand how to use Google and as Dimash has his own website, YT channel, Instagram etc etc then it's very easy for someone who wants to find out more about Dimash to actually pop on his sites and read details about him first hand. I just don't get this repetitive compulsion to post such comments.
@@HughJaxident67 Think of your favorite thing in the entire world. You tell your friends about it. You casually talk about it with your coworkers. Sometimes, you just randomly think of it when you see something. It's extremely hypocritical of you to say, "I just don't get why you do it", when everyone in life does the exact same thing. People just use a different medium. RU-vid is a public place. It's not every video either, just the people I think would appreciate it. It's not compulsion either. I want Dimash to be known, so I advocate for him. I get your argument, I really do... but the thing is, if you loved Dimash or any other cause, you'd step beyond what is comfortable to go the extra mile for that cause. Copy pasting, or writing up a 2-3 minute summary on 5-6 videos a day isn't ANYTHING, compared to people who protest and spend their whole lives, day and night devoted to a cause. If anything, I'm doing them a favor by saving them time. Also, I get afraid of people who just inheritantly hate Dimash just because in my opinion, he is the best singer on the planet. It's not an obsession for me personally, but I do watch videos of his for about an hour a day consistently. If I can deter haters away by telling people about how amazing he is, it's a win for me.

I want Dimash to be known, so I advocate for him* You're commenting on a video that already features Dimash, your post here doesn't increase his exposure in the slightest and these girls are more than capable of looking at his websites themselves if they so desire. This was a singing competition for invited Chinese professional singers called The Singer. Dimash was a foreigner wildcard from Kazakhstan. None of the other contestants or the audience (they are the judges) had ever heard him sing before. He was put on first to sing on episode one and this was his performance. He became an overnight sensation in China/Asia with 2 billion downloads. His first album became platinum in 37 secs and 3 times platinum in an hour. He had a sell out concert in New York in Dec 2019 at the Barclays Centre 19,000 people, but has played to crowds up to 150,000. If you like Freddie Mercury, Dimash did a cover of The Show Must Go On.....absolutely fantastic, as is his every performance. His covers are always much better than the original. On week 2 of the competition he sang Opera 2 by Vitas, who unfortunately forbade him from ever singing his song again, it was so brilliant! He was 22 here, but is now 26, you won’t believe what he sings like now! He’s very tall at 6ft 3ins (192cm) and is considered one of the most beautiful men in the world also being a model for the top fashion houses. He has two degrees in Classical singing and Jazz and Contemporary singing and recently completed his masters with a score of 100% in composition. He is currently studying for his doctorate in Musicology. He does compose some of his own songs but in The Singer competition, they are only allowed to do one of their own compositions during the 14 episodes, the rest have to be covers. He is a very caring, humble person, who treats his fans (who he calls ‘dears’ with love and respect. He plays 7 instruments, has a range of over 7 octaves now A1 to D8, brilliant in all registers!

ladies, Dimash was invited as a wildcard performer, the youngest to ever perform, in the Chinese TV Contest "I Am Singer". "Singer" ran each season of 14 to 15 weeks, the first 10 being perform or leave and be replaced - there were 8 to 9 performences each week. Dimash became an over night 'hit' with SOS, the Chinese world woke up the the day after the performances for week 1 and Dimash's performance had several million hits on the game show's library of performances. Dimash placed second overall - Not because only a Chinese could win, but because he picked a song in one of his performances that wasn't very popular and gave another performance that wasn't up the standard he had created with thie audance (he was recovering from a strep throat) The 500 people in the audience were also invitees, they all worked with music in some fashion.
