First Time Listening To Stray Kids "God's Menu" M/V 

Stray Kids have been compared to BP a lot for the whole Du Du Du vs Ddu-du Ddu-du thing - the first is meant to represent a chopping sound, while the second is a gun sound. Stray Kids actually have a performance called God's Ddu-du Ddu-du which is a remixed cover of BP's song with a Deadpool theme. Definitely worth checking out!

And like that, another Felix-bias was born, lol. Stray Kids are awesome, and self-produced. Felix is the dude with the deep ass voice. Thunderous, Back Door, Easy, Domino, Cheese, so good.

"God's Menu" is the title track for their 1st full album, in here they introducing their dishes (discography) wich will satisfy your 5 senses, cuz their Menu has a vast variety of tastes (genres), so if the song is not of your taste, don't worry cuz there wil be other who might satisfy your palate. As God's they creat their own sound since day 0 (98% of their lyrics and music is created by them) that's why they're in a construction area, where at the same time there's a lab wich represents their experimental side. There's no secret ingredient for their success, cuz they only have been working hard since pre-debut, that's why they are one of a kind. About the racing cars, the meaning (I think) is about competition and the reason the bridge is so calm is because they don't need to rush, they're going in their own pace (reference to "My pace") cuz they will win at the end ( reference to "tortoise and the hare"). That's my interpretation lol

The 'du du du du' is an onomatopoeia commonly used, in black pink's is used as a gun shut, here is used as a knife shop. And it was inspired by a 3racha (stray kıds producers sub unit) rap song called "Runner's high" way before the black pinks existed 🥴 just to clarify lol But they also made a legendary mix between the two, is fiiiiiire 🔥🔥🔥

The mv took place in the kitchen, science lab, construction site, and race track all speaks of their how they produce their songs. Them basically saying they create their own songs and experiment on their sound that will satisfy anybody(lyrics:Even passing travelers, pigeons, magpies, and crows). The race track means competition (?) and like they said no one can copy them in their own game because they have always been different from the start. If ever you want to dive into their discography, you would genuinely feel what they felt throughout their journey, from being a bunch of confused kids to them establishing their distinct sound and being confident about it.

The “du du du” sound is a common sound in kpop

- That little outro bit with them going through the back door is the lead-in connection to the title track that came next, "Back Door." - If you like swag, the first song that comes to mind is "Easy." They have lots of swag, but that one literally exists to embody the concept. - You seemed to have some interest in and understanding of the choices that go into building a track, so I think there's a decent chance you'll appreciate SKZ. Anyway, if you have an interest in the production rather than solely the final overall song/visual/dance/video package, they're a really good group to explore. (Fwiw, 3RACHA are also a separate rap trio independent of SKZ and existed before SKZ did, so they have quite a few rap tracks out there that are just them, not SKZ, from both before and after SKZ debuted.)

Having seen dozen upon dozens of reactions to God's Menu, I'm pretty solid in saying that every single reactor (not randos watching for views while clipping their toenails or whatever, but someone like this, who's paying attention) makes the Corpse/Pop Smoke comparison to Felix's voice, the du-du-du comparison with BP, or both. They're basically laws of reaction at this point. 😆

As far as I know the song and video talks about their music. At the beginning Changbin raps about how there is everything in the store, meaning they have something for everyone. And how their music and work is just good on itself, and they don't need a secret ingredient. And they put the process of creating their work in it too. When Felix (with the deep voice) has his second part. It's amazing how even the scenes are fitting this concept. The laboratory, the kitchen, the construction site; they all have to do with experimenting to create something and creating it. The racing cars come when they enter the singh part, when they talk about racing against others and even pass them. And you're right. The transitions are fire. (I hope i got everything right out of memory, feel free to correct me fellow stays)

Loved your reaction. Stray kids have some of the best Kpop rappers 🙂 Easy, District 9, and my favorite Double Knot. They also have amazing slower songs that I think get missed and I recommend First Take Slump, Scars and Mixtape Oh BUT a must see is Kingdoms Gods dududu mashup(Blackpink cover) It is amazing. These guys are true performers.

These guys have been invented a new genre completely unique to them from this song. It's called 'Mala Taste Genre' based on a spicy soup name, because they mix so many others in one track. That's a massive thing for an idol group and it's never happened before.

Stray kids soo good lots of different music to hit different tastes (they tend to have an underlying hype music/edm theme which i love but they also kill their ballads and other genre type music too) and the group is lovely! You can find their content under different names as well as they do some projects outside of their main albums using the tag skz-player/skz-record (but there is a playlist on their yt for this too for a good first one id suggest Up all Night actually the first ever song bang chan wrote for skz didn't release it for five years) also the producing unit 3Racha (like siracha) (So leader Bang Chan, Changbin and Han, which are the three main rappers as well) has a soundcloud but the stuff on there is older music like pre-debut/debut times they haven't actually put new music out under the title 3Racha for a few years up until literally last week they dropped a collab song with Sky-HI called Just Breathe its super good highly recommend. But yeah any of their last two albums (No Easy or Christmas Evel) have a lot of great music and older songs too like Easy (my all time favourite) or Laventar, Tortoise and the Hare, Side Effects are a few. Also if you ever do check out their content outside of music there is a bunch they release like skz code, vlogs, asmr, cooking, they also do a really cool series every year (each series has a playlist and the order goes: One Kids Room, Kids Room, Two kids room+1, Two Kids Room (currently happening each week)) as a catch up/get to know the boys its kinda like if you ever see big brother them sitting on couches just discussing life random things and mostly tho they talk about their relationships with each other, their mental health, hobbies, music etc what i love of about these series is there is absolutely no toxic masculinity in expressing their feelings about their friendships. Also the leader Bang Chan (Chris) does his own reaction vlog on vlive once a week, which almost ends up similar to their main series with random life discussions or very goofy vids if other members join :)

They write, compose, arrange and produce all their own music. The guy with the chains on his face is Bang Chan and is the leader. He is from Australia moved there at a very early age. He is the oldest in the group and trained for 7 years since he was 13 years old. He has a lot of idol friends like Lisa from Black Pink and so many more. Felix is the the guy with the deep voice and he was also born in Australia. everyone remembers Felix and your favorite part is also my favorite part. Here is the symbolism breakdown for this song. The cooking in the kitchen symbolizes (lyrics and idea or concept) Stray Kids cooking up their own music, The construction site is the building the song (lyrics and beats), the laboratory site is where they experiment with different beats and genres. Stray kids can have many genres in one song and they love to experiment and can do any type of song. The race car symbolizes them getting ahead of the other groups because no one does it like them they are so unique they win the race. If you notice it is a stray kids race care and they near the end pass up all the other cars. Every stray kids member can dance, rap and have amazing vocals. Most of their songs are rap heavy but they do have some that are vocal ballad songs, silly fun songs and hard beat rap songs. Changbin is the first rapper and he is known to be the fastest rapper in k-pop, Han was the 2nd rapper and he is one of the best free style rappers and also top 10 in fastest rappers of k-pop. Lee know (light orange hair) use to be a back up dancer for one of BTS Japanese tours in 2017. Hyunjin is the long blonde hair and he is also in the top 10 fastest rappers and their visual but he is also the one of the best dancers and has 3 solo dance videos. the bridge vocalist are Seungmin and I.N. Stray Kids are just so unique. They all rap, they all sing (and they sing well!!! Even the rappers.) They produce most of their own music, composing, writing, the whole nine yards. They also have a hand in their choreography. What's awesome about them is that no two songs are very alike. They're constantly evolving their sound, everywhere from EDM to rap to ballads to funk to... just about anything you could want, you can find with them. Hence, "God's Menu". :) I highly recommend "Back Door", which was hinted at the end of this video. Again, a different sound but so good. My fav of theirs is "Side Effects". It's heavy on the club beats and EDM and just... perfect.

For me was first listening to the music, i was obsessed with the sound i am not a MV person so I was fine , so when I watched they're videos i was shoked, thank you so much, hope you can do more stray kids content 💫🌟✨🌟💫🌟✨

I recommend Easy & Back Door by Stray Kids. NCT(7th Sense,Simon Says,Gimme Gimme), Got7(Calling My Name), Jay Park (Mommae), SuperM (Jopping, Tiger Inside) BTS members solo stuff if you haven't already - especially the rap line. In general kpop is a deep rabbit hole to fall into. Personally I've been amazed by so,so many groups- the beats, the rapping, the videos, singing & dancing. I had become a little bored with my usuals and being introduced to kpop revitalized my love of music.

You asked about symbolism! The basic symbolism this whole track has is mostly about how they 'cook' their own tracks (they are a self producing idol group and have majority of creative freedom in their discography), how their menus are so hot and one of a kind that even if you don't like it at first you can't just ignore or look away from it (they do get quite some hate for being noisy or making experimental, multiple genre encompassing music, but I think they are really awesome). All the construction sites and sounds (like sirens and stuff) and science laboratory is just them telling how they 'create' their own sound, experiment with it, and are proud of what they represent. The race tracks and the slow bridge lyrics most probably indicates the competition they face and how it affects them (bcs I'm one of a kind)(as of what I know, please correct me if I'm wrong fellow stays!) and the ne sonnim in the beginning and near the end means yes sir/ma'am which just means how they are gonna offer the best of everything in their kitchen that they work so hard and that you're not gonna regret signing up for their wild, fun, roller coaster ride (that is them and their discography). The song backdoor (the sign through which they are exiting through in the end) is supposed to be god's menu sequel! The fandom name is called stay. Thanks for reacting!

Du Du Du is just the sound of chopping. Blackpink used it as gunfire. It's just a word meant to sound like something, like we have boom, bang or crash. You can see they match the sounds with a chopping movement. As other commenters have said, they did actually combine them and performed a mashup when they competed in Kingdom!

May I please request another group? The Princes of KPOP, SHINee. They debuted in 2008 and have 14 years of discography to discover (and all five members are spectacular soloists). Created as a contemporary, experimental group, they are responsible for introducing and setting new trends with music, dance, fashion, culture, and more. I mentioned all five are soloists, but you should also know that SHINee are all five main vocalists, main dancers, main rappers, and main visuals. They have some of the most distinct voices in KPOP, yet they blend into the most harmonious sound. They’re truly remarkable and are known as the Idols’ Idols…if you ask, many idols and trainees will credit SHINee or one of the members as the reason they pursued their career and look up to them as who they aspire to become.
