The second voice is just a character. He plays the more younger wilder character while Big plays a bit more of a calmer more strategic character.

Biggie was heavily influenced by Slick Rick, Slick Rick was doing the different voices when he would do his story telling songs. In the third verse he said "Throw him in the fiend". "Fiend" in that bar is slang for chokehold.

@@charlescarter1859 In the way Big used it, yea. It was short for “Dope fiend yoke”. It’s basically when you choke a person from behind. They call it a “fiend” because it leaves you and your body limp like a dope fiend when they’re high off drugs and they can barely move.

Biggie surprised his producer by leaving gaps while recording and layering a second persona (you had it right) over the track. The content of the song is just storytelling. Biggie's a great lyricist and storyteller. Great reaction, thanks for sharing.
