Pharcyde has always had skills + their own unique flavor, which is good. Might want to check out "Drop" and "Runnin" off their album Labcabincalifornia. J Dilla put in some work with them on that project.(Rest-In-Power)

One of my favorite songs from one of my favorite albums from one of my favorite groups. Yea. Pharcyde tackled these topics often that seem to go untouched in hip hop. Another gem like this is Otha Fish. And the video for The Drop is one of the best music videos ever.

A funny one from them off this same album is Ya Mamma. That shit is hilarious. By the way, one of the samples is Houdini where he says "Never the less, I'mma say it again" which is from the song Friends. I'm not sure about the other samples.

I say this as honestly and truthfully as I can.. LISTEN TO PHARCYDES FIRST 2 ALBUMS ASAP I was literally in your shoes as a kid trying to find out more about the Golden Age because rap in the early 2010s, before kendrick and Cole etc, was trash for the most part. Bizarre Ride 2 and Lab Cabin changed the way I looked at rap forever. Opened my eyes and ears to a whole new style I wasnt even aware of, but that I vibe with heavy. Those albums stay in rotation now. Glad you found a bop and hope you explore more of them and groups like them!
