These guys are SO good! UTA = Power Metal at it's Finest! They do concept albums that are wonderful. A cool note about the Drummer -Scott, he is using a Left, Left / Right, Right double bass style, instead of the Left, Right / Left, Right. So he is hitting each pedal twice before changing to the next, insane timing this guy too. BTW Scott and Lead singer Brittney are a couple. They play DnD on RU-vid, and Brittney Slayes may just watch your reaction as well.

Britney Slayes is another formally trained singer who has gone to metal.....that seems to be where the trained and talented are going.....notice that they have 2 guitar players.....a thought about Nikko's style of bass, think Mark Knopler's guitar style.....try bands like Amaranthe, Arch Enemy, Kamelot, Imperial Age, Orion's Reign, Powrerwolf, Lacuna Coil, Sabaton, Shield of Wings, Within Temptation, Ayeron, Epica, Suite Clarity, Liliac, Lords of the Trident.....

Now you gotta do their track called "Abyss" .....pure fire

Just wanted to add that Geddy Lee from Rush never uses pick as a bass player and he's pretty legendary

This genre is POWER METAL.... many popular bands for this metal sub-genre, others are Kamalot, Frozen Crown , both have recent new album releases, but FC also has a power female front, and harmonizing power speed guitarists, one being a cute young female lead... they are from Italy.

They sound like a newer version of classic Power Metal to me. Metal has too many genres within it for me to keep track. I just know that either I like it or I don’t and UTA I f***ing love.
