First time out Metaldetecting with the SEF 15 x 18 inch.

This was my first outing with the SEF 15 x 18 coil. I really liked this coil. The fact that it is covering so much ground and is extremely stable is what I liked the most. Thinking about making this coil my standerd coil for the Minelab Sovereign GT.

Your going to love that detech coil!!! There the best for the Sovereign GT. I been using mine now for over 2 years now. Pin point with the front of the coil it works every time!!!!!

Got the meter when I bought the detector. I think it is no longer for sale at the moment, but there are some alternative meters for sale on Ebay.

Hi Andre, I've been considering the same coil but not 100% sure just yet. hope you don't mind me asking what your opinions of it are now you've had it a little longer? Also how does it compare to the standard tornado in depth and stability? Appreciated!

+Magoo Magoon I'm still not sure about the coil. I used it several times now but one thing I know is that is does not go deeper then the WOT coil. The deep signals on the WOT give a soft sound, with the SEF you do not hear any soft sound on the deeper signals.A good thing about this coil is the size, you cover a lot of ground, another plus is that it is extremely stable. I run my sens at almost full. Downside is the weight, I have to use a bungiecord to help me carry the weight when I search for more then 5 hours. Another thing is that when I use a meter on the Sovereign I do get totally different numbers then on the WOT coil. Several times I had extremely high numbers well over the 180 mark. Most of these signals are trash. Andre

Hi sir, im a new owner of a sov xs2 a pro could give me your setting ? Ive got a the same id meter on it than yours , can you tell me what id number you got on 1 euro ( to check if it calibrated properly) ? best regards.
