I cannot express enough the unique joy i feel watching someone like this discover fantastically inspired compositions from my favorite video games its like watching a baby eat ice cream for the first time and just knowing deep down that they too also realize how godamn good it is.

I love how she gets more and more into it, and suddenly stands up like friggin' Ben Folds and rocks out 🙌🙌🙌🔥🔥🔥

Funnily enough, that's how we played the games back in the day. Sitting on the couch/floor with snacks on our laps meant we were relaxed and enjoying the game. Shoving the snacks aside and standing up in the middle of the floor meant we were now taking it seriously because we felt like the game had just dishonored us and three generations of our ancestors. It was _personal_ at that point. I got that same energy from 1:10 - 1:40; shoving the microphone out of the way and standing up - classic signs of "I took that personally" and it's now a matter of honor in to conquer the piece!

That moment when Kara realizes that the term "Nintendo hard" applies not only to the gameplay, but the music as well. ;)

Every single theme from Mega Man X would work as a kick-ass Saturday morning cartoon intro xD

It's kind of unfair how talented you are. And by unfair I mean completely fair because of the hard work and dedication you've put into mastering piano. Def one of my top piano role models, amazing as always 😲

I'm 32 and it hit straight into my childhood 😂 To see a professional musician enjoying so much a song from an old videogame just shows how awesome those songs were. Due to the hardware limitations, the songs could not be so complex. So, they went for creative routes, and created songs with strong base melodies. And that's the result, those songs hit HARD!! I just discovered your channel, but now I'm subscribing and watching all of your videos!

Kara, your sight read of Spark Mandrill just took the personal top spot out of all the versions I ever heard 🤯So much fun, so much energy, so much joy! I loved Mega Man X. Used to play it on my SNES. I haven't played it since the 1990s I even forget the music, but this is nostalgic.

I played this game as a kid, and loved this music. Thank you for playing this so beautifully and letting me share this with my five-year-old daughter. I really appreciate that you showed her that we can do hard things, and we can try again after we make mistakes. This really means the world to me!
