>Singularity has to spend time setting up turrets >Survivors have the counter EMP auto-charging for them so they don’t have to dedicate anytime to counter his power No wonder no one plays Singularity lol
I can just imagine a world where the singularity's power didn't have the EMP's, and the trade off is that when he teleports to someone, it removes the orb. :P
@@androgynouslibra7607 One pallet break then you have to tag them again. One window and you have to tag them again. You wouldnt be able to catch up instantly after injuring a survivor. He would be so much weaker lmao.
When I saw the flamethrower for Alien, I had a nice laugh because of the copy-paste design. By that I mean that EMP’s kill singularity. Meanwhile the fire-sentry is a baby version of EMP, not as oppressive but it’s the same design of items that turn killers into John M1.
The fact theres no scarcity of EMPs, survivors have information on every little thing singularity is doing, the wonky aim of the cameras, the length EMPs shut down cameras... God its like a killer made to be bullied
It's so disheartening to see how easily and effortlessly you can repeatedly get emps and see exactly where he is when the pods are green... I played as him about three times and got steamrolled without knowing much about him, now I know why lol
The fact that you don't have to drop your item to get the EMP is absurd. Also, why does the box charge by itself when Nemesis box don't? And WHY does it even charge by itself in first place since no one started the printing? This is so bad.
I have to rant about Singularity. So first of all, there is his archive challenge that says you gotta slipstream 4 times and hit survivors. Easy right, NO! If survivors pre drop pallets of litteraly, just hold shift w it's impossible for you to hit them unless you have purple addon that gives you haste and also if you don't have iri addon that makes them start infected it feels like you don't have power for 90% of time, oh you can place your pods and infect them, unless survivors disable your power. Btw I did this challenge 4 times and still haven't completed not because it's impossibly hard, no. I didn't complete it because the game bugged 4 times and didn't register it even though it said in match that I completed it 4/4. I played so many games of Singularity I don't wanna tocuh this stupid we have Alien at home killer ever again!
I really regret buying him with my shards, I got him because I liked his visual design and his power seemed interesting but I didn't bother to actually check some videos on him. I had no idea that his power is literally worthless against a halfway competent team and that he's essentially an M1 Killer in most matches, I used him like ten times before I got completely bored of playing him. Such a waste, he looks awesome and had so much potential but they decided to make the counterplay so strong that anyone with a brain can just chain EMPs back to back with no effort whatsoever. Whoever decided that they should print automatically with no Survivor input completely killed the Killer, I'm convinced that BHVR is run by actual monkeys.
The counter is too strong for a normal m1 killer. Meanwhile Wesker, one of the fastest killers, requires you to open a box and use a certain item to counter a power that can be used in chase without set up. I found Singularity's challenges to be absurdly hard just by the fact my survivors aren't usually stupid.
You literally just contradicted yourself 😂. The only way you’ll see variety (aka people playing different killers) is if those killers are equal in strength. No one wants to play an under powered killer
Singularity can be very, very brutal. The issue is no average player is going to spend the time micromanaging every aspect of the match for every single game they play as the killer. It needs something to make the power a little bit more simple or something to limit the nullification of his power a bit more, like maybe you can either emp his cams OR yourself not both also maybe limit the amount of EMPs in general again since they really do seem to print insanely fast.
SINGULARITY needs a buff: 1) they should reduce visual queues for survivor indicating that he can see you. 2) they should reduce the activation cooldown so that if he hits you and you have the thing to destroy it, by the time you reach 95% he can teleport to you. if they do these 2 changes he becomes an ok killer. But they can just hide which is what they are supposed to do, not walk into your stuff. and then they can choose either to risk it and come closer and use the IMP near the killer when the green is off, or the killer can bait it by switching to a different location then coming back as the survivor who initially gotten so it would be a mind game and you can teleport to that guy. that's how would I have done it personally. ALSO the range of the IMP might need some adjustments so that it's less wide, they should reduce the vertical range of the IMP so survivors actually have to be below the thing or very close by like dude, do they even play their own games, you said it's your first or 4th time vs him and you already exposed 2 major issues with the killer like what ??? if they want the killer to be weak then survivors should be weak too to even it out and prolong the games even further. guys for real how to make this killer viable ? is it just unplayable killer ? "The SINGULARITY" more like "The unplayability "
Easy fix would be to remove EMPs and make him able to slipstream survivors with shooting thm. 1 shot to infect 1 shot to tp. If you also make recovery from tp faster too it will make him an strong killer.
Their pick-rate is a little below average but it's not that bad. They're not that weak, I just think most killers don't have the ability to play them to their full potential since they require so much mental effort to play.
@@EneAkita Not just that, Why play a killer that takes 4 steps to get a hit when you can play a killer that just requires 1 or 2. Problem with him is he requires so much effort for not much reward.
Yeah Singularity has to be one of the worst killers in Dbd. Makes you waste time setting up his power only for it to make little to no impact and is countered easily. And he’s an M1 killer. Trash killer
Delusional and wrong lmao. You clearly don't have any experience or understanding about him. You don't need to set up his power, playing him as a set up killer is the wrong way to play him as the EMP is going to stop that.
Bond is one of the most underrated perks I feel. You get so much information with the hud they introduced as well. Add open handed and you can see your whole team across half the map and know where the killer is or the general area. I'd rather run bond over any other perk.
@ItsFate that is my main build, bond, open handed, windows, and kindred. Full aura reading and it works phenomenally. Plus if you have a key with a add on to see the killers aura open handed works there as well which is absolutely busted
@@joshkeller2671such a nice build until you get that random killer that runs some shit like third seal, or a blindness add on, and now your perks do nothing 😂
@beaubraun641 fear monger is the one I see the most, and it for sure can be countered pretty easily but I feel like a balanced game should have plenty of counters on both sides
It takes too much time especially on console to shoot a pod somewhere, switch to it, scan someone and catch up to them. Meanwhile people are doing gens. Teleporting is useless as the survivor is further away by the time you appear.
The teleporting isn't useless, it's just not always the right move. I often find I can use it like StBfL, especially if the survivor decided to vault something with their speed boost
He’s like hag with delayed rewards. he wants to camp an area, he teleports onto ya, and his traps are broken by items. Whereas hag requires you to have a flashlight, sin gives you infinite extra items so you never need to worry about it, it’s just a worse hag!!!
@@DarthRane113not only does hag not require flashlight anymore, flashlights just don’t work on them at all. I’ll take it for the basekit ability to remove the traps though it’s nuts
Include the change where survivors can hold both their own item and the killer item at the same time, no risk at all for the survivors, no management required...
This killer is so bad and not nearly enough people are taking about it. He desperately needs buffs and emps are still far to strong making him feel terrible to play.
One of the more interesting designs that's fucked by DbD's shit game design. He's an M1 killer against SWFs and Survivors who use EMPs. Massively tasking to play as for very little benefit.
I was about to say “How have you not played against a singularity?” Because I play singularity a lot. Then I realized I have only ever seen him maybe once? I don’t play this game for a living though lol
The emps are never a problem for singularity if you space out your emps so that they cover the same area/gen but require at least two emps to disable. This player only placed one per gen or area
Absolutely not. Worst design is and will always be Skull Merchant as I genuinely believe that it's the least fun power concept on both sides. Singularity has an insanely high skill floor without enough power to stomp, which means most people don't bother investing the time to get good at Singularity (it's also way harder on controller to tag people with the pods and a large portion of the playerbase is on controller).
@@kimberg2539 Are you stupid? A power that you have to shoot onto the wall, click onto, move around to lock onto a survivor, and then have to sit on the survivor for a certain period of time that can be broken by losing Line to sight, which then you have to lock onto again OR go out of the pod and then shoot them in order to get closer to them just to be slowed down and barely make any progress is actually the worst thing ever created in this game, it’s not practical, there is absolutely NO reason to play this killer over an other killer, none at all. If EMPs didn’t exist it still wouldn’t even be worth it over playing any other killer because his time to down is so long because of how horrible “overclock” is. There is a reason nobody plays it
