They should make it so the killer can mori himself. That would be a better update

The game is no longer about a group of scattered people managing to use their wit and very scarce tools to outsmart and outplay an opponent that it made to be intimidating and threatening. It’s tag simulator.

Picture this scenario, you're the killer: SWF all with flashlights so you're always paranoid to pick up a survivor. You've downed one at a pallet. The other survivors are playing aggressive. They've each got unbreakable, exponential, soul guard, and something like dead hard or sprint burst. Impossible situation...

We had it too good for too long. The devs finally said: back to bad updates

R.I.P Killer. They might as well add killer bots to the game because a lot of Killers will quit or play survivor.

I've had so many games as killer where survivors make it almost impossible not to slug. They throw themselves at you if one person is down, now if they do that, as long as one person stays up, they can keep getting themselves up. So they've buffed bullying, neat.

Just bring back fast vaulting at any angle, vacuum pallets, and being able to get a flashlight saves easy. Timing your flashlight is too stressful. No one wants that.

As a survivor main I have to say, that being able to pick yourself up from being downed and recovery affects the time. All I have to do is get downed on a pallet and with a friend nearby. I get up regardless of the outcome. Killer picks me up: pallet stun Killer chases friends off me: I pick myself up Killer waits: my friend stuns and I get up when it happens. Each time I get up and distance away. Make it deactivate at 3 gens at least.

In all seriousness, they should have kept the green and pink moris, made yellow mori basekit and made the last mori (finishing mori) "cinematic". That's it. Survivors were not getting targeted. Killers have to bring in a mori offering, they don't know how the survivors will play before the game starts, so how could a killer use it out of spite? Rancor stays the same, Devour Hope stays the same. It's also very bizarre considering Pyramid Head, Myers, Sadako and Pig (kind of) still have moris. Why even get rid of mori offerings then?

Imagine the last survivor hiding away and waiting for the entity to kill him after you close the hatch just because he saw that you have an ebony mori and doesn't want to give you the points.

We have seen that survivors find it very hard to choose a build so every survivor will have basekit meta from now on.

Sabo squads are going to be hell moving forward. Also flashlight squads will also suck. Unbreakable is a massively meta perk. In return, we should get NOED or some other killer 5 star perk as base kit. Also can Charlotte even get to a survivor fast enough after Victor downs them? Twins is now officially rebalanced out of the game.

Remember when they said "base kit ruin was too op" but for some reason base kit borrowed time and unbreakable are not, yeah makes sense behavior 🤔

I don't know if anyone has said this before, but: If I get downed on any pallet and have a friend around, I'm 100% guaranteed to get away every time...especially with new unbreakables (22 second pickup time) when I'm at a pallet and the killer wants to pick me up -> other person gets the stun and I'm on my way. when I'm at a pallet and the killer decides to not pick me up because he's not stupid and starts chasing the other person -> I pick myself up. When I'm at a pallet and the killer is waiting -> I recover and after that the other person drops the pallet, pushes me to the other side and I'm picking myself up. There's no scenario where I lose... I really liked the perk rework, even the BT basekit was fine... it's not like you haven't already been waiting for BT to go away after every unhook, so whatever. It seemed like they were slowly going in a better direction and the next logical step for me always was the maps. Make them smaller and a little fairer. But i'm not sure if I want to play at all anymore after this.

Not really a fan of the mori change, kinda liked the ability to choose where and when I want my moris to happen

Hold on, the power struggle/flip flop build is gonna be meta with new unbreakable. You can go down on a pallet and spend possibly one second recovering and bam ready to go for a pallet slam when you get picked up...

As a survivor main, I recognize the devs are way biased in favor of the survivors, you're supposed to be scared of the killer in a horror game and frankly the killer isn't scary unless they're running rare add ons

I use Morris when I see 3/4 flashlights/toolboxes because I know someone is going to try and deny me hooks, so now I'm not only unable to morì people dead on hooks without taking my chances with a 3 man bodiblock/Sabo/flashlights but Im no longer even able to slug them until the hook is back up. And it's infinite, the ability doesn't go away, insanity Also rip twins

So in order to add a cosmetic, "Finishing Mori", they buffed 2 survivor perks and nerfed 1 killer perk. Seems Reasonable.

People act like the *instant* you go down, the Killer is being toxic for letting you bleed out. But being down is part of the gameplay, and you still have to make smart plays. Where do you go down at? Where do you crawl to? Which teammate will come help? Do they have a flashlight or do you need a pallet? Or perhaps you're gonna do a sabo play. What is the Killer planning to do, and how does your team react to it? It *all* matters! How you go down, and what you do when it happens, will make or break the game. But now? None of that matters. Killer downs you. Killer has to pick you up immediately, period. Because otherwise he's being toxic.

Say there's 2 survivors left when you use a Mori offering. The other survivor is at the exit gate. You won't end the match in a Mori, thus you lose the bounty offering. Conversely, if you slug to find the other survivor, they can just pick themselves up. Completing Mori bounties is going to be difficult, and rarer Mori's will be even more difficult to complete, and more expensive if you fail.

"THIS TIME IS AFFECTED BY RECOVERY SPEED EFFECTS" Yes! Unbreakable makes it 22.5 seconds.

Removing the mori from devour hope is just ridiculous, as it's not "part of the base kit". The base kit is now mori'ing the last survivor what's going to die anyways, devour hope mori was to remove any survivor from the game regardless of how many times they've been hooked without needing to walk them to a hook. Now you can still remove them from the match, doing the same thing as a mori, but you have to walk them to a hook for no reason, wasting time that the mori saved. The power devour gave you was removing any survivor caught at 5 tokens in a timely manner, that is unequivocally not part of the base kit, they're moronic for thinking it was. Now it can be interrupted by sabotages, bodyblocks, flashlight saves etc for absolutely no reason at all. If the base-kit unbreakable they're giving survivors isn't a 1 time use per match then it's completely broken as it will be practically impossible to ever achieve a 4 man slug. Seems the devs think it's a great idea to give every once extremely meta survivor perk to the survivor base kit, first borrowed time, now unbreakable, what's next, are they going to get a decisive strike to "balance" tunneling?

it reminds me of an incompetent devgroup i was a part of that was constantly eroding my good work on a game every time i turned my back, the gymnastics to reach a conclusion justifying the inclusion of the next shit design (otr, basekit unbreakable, soon ds+deliv maybe?) on full display - it makes me very irate like nothing ever has before in this game

So the slugging matter with unbreakable getting you up at 22 seconds rather than 45 can still be there it says "perks that increase pick up recovery affect its timer" so unless that line was a random line they threw in unbreakable will allow survivors to get up in that 22 seconds infinitely

Built in perks arent a bad idea but, they keep giving them perks that benefit swf and not solo players. If they gave them Kindred and something like better together instead of bt and unbreakable it would only help solo players. The game doesn't need more things swf can abuse.

It really seems like they are determined to eliminate every advantage the killer can get for themselves. I don't see how the mori rework is an excuse to get rid of the ability to slug. Like, imagine the unintended advantages Survivors actually get from this, like if you get sabotaged now you can't even drop that survivor really because they can just get up now. When a Killer downs a survivor his next few actions are very limited because they have to pick that survivor up. I think a better way to handle this is to make it cost them a hook stage if they choose to get up, like having to rely on the entity to heal you has a cost. It just feels like what their actual objective was is to take slugging out and the Mori was the excuse, like what? They changed up the perks to make survivors choose non meta-perks but now they're just giving survivors all the meta perks as base kit. Most of the people who play this game are survivors and there way more survivor skins and so survivors make the most money for behavior so when they cry about something the devs will fix it, meanwhile, They make no attempts to make this game fun for Killers

The ability to pick yourself up timer should pause if another survivor is within 10 meters, cause otherwise it's a guaranteed escape when downed at a pallet with another survivor nearby. Unbreakable is busted though if it actually halves the time.

+20000 BP for the Ebony Mori is nothing since it costs -5000 BP and killing all 4 is not that easy on higher MMR. A pudding costs only -2500 BP but gives you double your BP in a match, with an average match being around 28000 BP that is already + 28000 BP thru the offerind pudding So it's cheaper and brings you more money in the end. The mori is useless.

They're not addressing the root of the problem. Why do a lot of killer proxy camp and tunnel? They do it because tunneling especially is meta and the most effective strat and oftenly the only strat you can do against the good survivors. So instead of addressing the core problem they're just giving killers the middle finger and not fixing the problem. So if you go for hooks you lose because that's not meta and the gens will go by to fast and if you tunnel/slug proxy camp reassurance and basket changed make it possible so what are you suppose to do as killer now lol?

They think it's anti-tunneling, lol. The idea is you can no longer slug an unhooker and chase after your target, because the unhooker will just get up.

Getting downed under a pallet is gonna be Meta asf! Scenario 1: Go down ~ mate drops pallet ~ stun killer Scenario 2 : go down ~ killer chase mate ~ pick myself at 22-45 seconds I get away... Yikes behavior....

Hope they get reworked for this update, hell, even Nemesis and Oni rely on slugging 3/5 of the time.. and then there's hag... or a basic Myers without infinite tier 3... so many killers will need to be reworked for that update when it goes live... I also just realized that Myers tombstone is basically useless, might as well run Devour with Undying..

So if a survivor heals someone on the ground, but can't finish, does it still take 45seconds to get up? or are they just changing the recovery phase to 45 charges and anything that allows them to get those 45 charges will allow them to recover? They say its affected by recovery speed effects, but that sounds limited to perks...

Oof...if this makes it through to the public build they've gotta at least put a cap on how many times a survivor can pick themselves up. Each successive update makes me more and more glad I've decided to play this game less and less.

The patch notes say that the recovery time perks effect the 45 second pickup. Can't wait for the fip flop/unbreakable/powerstruggle combos making it impossible to get anyone at a pallet EVEN picking up immediately

DbD seems to be reaching it’s final days but don’t worry plenty of new asymmetrical games are coming out soon. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre game, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Dragon Ball The Breakers, Resident Evil Re:Verse, VHS.

Let's not forget that survivors will automatically lose if by any chance they all get slugged at anytime. Hard to achieve, but possible if they go for risky plays. In another note: base-kit Unbreakable will make it easier for cheaters to go unnoticed.

*Killer difficulty:* Dark Souls with mods and a toddler unplugging your controller every five seconds. *Survivor difficulty:* Watching a gacha game on your phone play itself for you.

I think that Killers should get these perks base kit at this point: Barbecue and chili Forced penance Old overcharge (kick gen makes hard skillcheck worth 10% progress) Deer stalker Shadowborn Shattered hope. Maybe not all at once, but at this point at least shattered hope, forced penance, and barbecue and chili, would technically be "balanced"

With every patch I'm sure some day survivors will have unlimited sprint burst as base kit.

Maybe they should do something similar to built to last with the new unbreakable. Each time you use it the recovery speed boost goes minus -33% or -50%. This way you recover faster two or three times, but not infinitely. Still would be really strong but better than infinite 22 seconds

BHVR are doing everything in their power to ensure everybody has their twisted version of fun that they don't question why things like slugging and camping are so popular in the first place. Somebody has to make BHVR aware that these are tactics because it's the only way a killer stands a chance at feeling like they won a game and if their primary cause for concern is griefing then it's a fool's errand because they can't even stop hackers and cheaters from running rampant in their game. Unless all these strong meta survivor perks becoming baseline eventually leads to, "Removed SWF from being played in normal trials" then I am at this point watching this shitshow of a game unravel with morbid curiosity. Never touching it again. Also this makes snowball killers even worse. Myers/Oni off the top of my head just got hugely nerfed but of course survivor mains are crying about No Mither being worse now of all things despite the fact they just gained the second chance perk deal of a lifetime. The DBD community is full of too many people that only give a shit about themselves and not the overall health of the game and worst of all these people are actually in the company that makes it.

For once I agree with the knee jerk reaction the Killer community is having. Infinite basekit unbreakable will break the game.

At this point they should add a new mode where it's just survivor players vs a killer bot, since the survivors want to be spoonfed their win. Let them act toxic and dumb to the bots so they can get their meager drops of dopamine that they keep crying and complaining about everytime the killer does anything to try and win

I think the slugging thing isn’t a bad idea, just needs a simple change. Make it so they can only do it when a certain amount of survivors are down. If there’s 4 alive, make it so they can only get up when 2-3 are downed. If there’s 3 alive, make it so they can only get up it 2 are downed, and then they can’t get up if there’s just 2 alive and 1 downed. Or even just make them get themselves up once. Have them have to choose when instead of getting it for free. I don’t think this is as good as you’ll probably only get up once anyway

All they had to do was make cypress mori base kit and if they wanted that system so badly they could at least make it so that the unbreakable bake kit activates only on last man standing
