First Time Playing WoW (Classic) 

IM REALLY SORRY ABOUT BAD AUDIO ISSUES ~ Im still learning and its not great IM SORRY ONCE AGAIN

I dont play anymore but get my joy out of watching first time Wow players especially Classic warms my heart, and 10mins in im talking to the screen "Use your gun" fun to watch, keep it up there are plenty of people just like me looking for this type of content to watch for our WoW fix

I would really like to make a hearthstone video if ya'll would be interested! I've played hearthstone for such a long time now and I feel like it'd be fun to show you the builds I like going in battlegrounds :)

Classic is awesome! You know, there is an addon named "VoiceOver" and "VoiceOver Sounds - Vanilla", it reads all the quests and some other things as well, all with the correct character's voice and everything, it's so cool! It adds another dimention to the game I really like it myself. Definitely try it out if it's something you would appreciate.

Hazelnuttygames is one of my fav WoW content creators, Taliesin and Evitel also pretty good, they are very thorough. Then you have Bellular gaming, Asmongold -those two makes a lot of other content than WoW content tho. It was a joy to watch this video aswell. :)

As someone who's played WoW for... many many years- it's always cool to see a new player's raw opinions and reaction. Just finished watching your retail video and now this one. Keep it up (If you continue to enjoy playing, that is). ^^

I love seeing your perspective of playing wow. I've played wow for about 15+ years, so it's very refreshing. Early in your video you asked what else content wise you can do, in retail its all about end game content such as Mythic Plus, raiding, PVP. You could also just do easy going "hangout with me while I get some transmogs/mounts/collectibles". As you saw very briefly there are tons of cosmetics, or transmog items to customize your character. Hazelnutty is a youtuber that does raid guides for bosses, she also keeps everyone up to date with whats new to wow. Asmongold does transmog contests, also gives his feedback on new updates to wow. He used to stream differently. Lots of streamers/ youtubers to look into what they do. Hope this helps!

Thanks for doing this. Was a really fun vid since I never tried Wow Classic but have a read about it on Reddit.

Just watched for a second time. Phenomenal stuff. Classic is sooooo much different than retail - one main thing is that your character can actually die at pretty much any level. Get to level 10 so you can get a pet. Also, turn on nameplates (i believe it's "V" on the keyboard). This way you'll know when you're running by hostile NPC's (red nameplates). Final thing, since you're a hunter, take out the item on your #3 on the hotbar and replace it with "shoot" that can be found in your general area of your spells/abilities. You have a gun and you have ammo. Using shoot will let you hit targets from a distance to drop their health before they get into melee range. Loved your entry into this. You have a super personality and I really hope you continue your dwarf/hunter journey.

Hunter is a great pick for your first time playing classic. Other classes can be challenging to level for people that are new to the game.

Good memories. My first character roll back in 2008 was a Dwarf Warrior.

After being blown away by Star Wars Galaxies the year before i did not know what to expect with beta testing WOW i was totally hooked the music, the cartoonish graphics even the bugs had a joking charm about them, My brother got his beta key 2 days before me all i had seen of the game was him corpse walking nearly every 10 minutes it has no mercy unlike the hand holding or retail i have some great memories from classic and i am still playing classic now it has a heart retail could not recreate.

A walking/riding tour of all of Azeroth might be a workable series, if you make a point to visit lots of 'easter eggs' such as the tribute to Robin Williams. I'll have to play with that myself a bit, see if it seems interesting while actually doing it.

Thanks for that bit of information on how Ozzy's remember North(Never), East(Eat), South(Soggy), West(Waffles). Never knew that and its a nice way to remember.

This is so much fun to watch! Started to play this game again (started when Litchking first came out) after season of discovery launched, so I have some backstory to wow, but this is kinda new to me. Having the exp of retail is a really good start. :D Like there is alot of addons on cursedForged if you wanna look into getting that? Think there has been someone saying this, but those are really helpful! Like Baggon is a good addon. :) Hope you haveing more fun with this and keep grinding :D

If you hold shift over a piece of gear you can compare what you are wearing with the item. Hunters wear leather armour and mail at higher levels. You were clicking 1 "attack" but it is an auto attack so clicking it turns auto attack on/off. Button 2 is your raptor strike for close combat. Hunters also have the bow/gun for long range which is currently your 3 button. If mobs move too close you have to use your melee combat abilities or move away for range. Hunters usually use range abilities but you can play melee hunter. Most grey items you can sell to clear bags. Bag space is always a good idea so quests that give bags/crafting bags/or buying on the auction house are good and can make low levels easier. Some weapons you are unable to currently use but you can go to a guard at a major city and search for the weapon master to learn them. Different major cities weapon masters teach different weapons. I love hunter it's a great starter class, the pet training in classic is a bit tedious though. If you streamed Wow I'd watch and you could likely get tips from viewers as you play :3

Its always fun to see new players in classic wow. As a hunter, most of your damage is from your ranged weapons, you need to use your gun and ranged abilities. Also you could try a season of discovery server, it a new concept with mostly original classic wow stuff but with some extra abilities from retail, and the leveling is much faster.

Level 30 to get flying?! Oh my god, this game has changed. Back in my day, we had to wait for Burning Crusade to get flying, and it cost 1000g for basic flying, and 5k for fast flying, only at level 70, and only in Outland. I grinded Primal Shadow and Primal life for *weeks*, making constant trips to the auction house, before I *finally* got it. God I miss when things like flying in WoW mattered, and took a long time to get.

Fav WoW Content creator for me is probably Maximum, I also watch a new podcast he's part of called PoddyC - there are lots of cool content creator, but I watch him the most so ye.

So glad you checked out ClassicWoW! However Id much rather watch you being a new player in retail, and if you like it- I hope you get to reach level70 before The War Within hits! If youd like to join the fight in there, it would have been awesome watching you play it on launch when it releases😄

14:25 You could make an old fashioned let's play series out of it. Not about anything specific, just you (and maybe some guildmates eventually) playing the game. The problem with most of the big content creators is that they are usually focused solely on endgame, like raids and stuff. Others do lore videos which might be more interesting. Retail is much more fast paced and build to reach max level extremely quickly. Classic on the other hand has a lot more RPG mechanics and is much better suited to slowly explore the world. Classic also has some great quest lines that are unfortunately no longer available in Retail (like the Battle for Darrowshire questline which starts around level 50 in the Western Plaguelands). As for me - I greatly enjoy new players discovering the world at their own pace without rushing things.

Cities have barber shops (ask a guard that has a scroll show up when you mouse over them) to have location marked on map. Barber shops let you change all that appearance stuff you set when you first made a toon.

Best version of this game IMO. Much grinding but there were quite a few tasks that required some social interaction that's missed in today's game. I'm thinking that if you started playing pre-2010, classic is your favorite. Post-2010, it likely might be retail.

I prefer retail streams but I would choose whatever wow playthrough we can get.

There are quite a lot of people playing classic, but you have to join a specific realm to find people since Retail lets you see people from other realms whereas Classic doesn't. So people who play Classic tend to all go to a few select realms to play with each other.

Retail defiantly isn't easier to get into, I started at Classic from it's 2004 release played to Wrath and quit, returned to DF. I ended up buying a 12 button mouse because of all the keybindings and gearing I had to watch multiple video's just to understand how everything worked. Crafting, vault, weekly quests ect, it literally goes on. I believe a really good way to play this game is also SoD, it has all the fun stuff of classic PLUS more. I believe a lot of people are drawn to the classic games because of their less confusion but yet more engaging ways of playing. Retail feels less like a community compared to the classic content games. I however like retail more because I want to do the content that offers and my 1st ever video game was Mario on the Regular Nintendo haha.

14:35 After you finish classic you could do all the expansions in retail in order. Learn all the story. I don't think I've seen anyone do that. You could even try a new race/class combo for each expansion. That's like a year's worth of content at least before you even have to get that creative. You could also do a review once you finish each expansion. It might be useful for Blizzard. They seem a bit delusional sometimes when it comes to deciding what new players want or need, as Day9 recently demonstrated. Some of my favourite WoW content creators, including ones that don't necessarily make WoW content anymore, are Asmongold, Preach, Pyromancer (pre-meltdown), Taliesin & Evitel, Pint, Gorrak's Guide, and Captain Grim. I'm sure I'm missing a couple. There are many good ones that either only did WoW stuff for a short period of time or just don't do it anymore.

He's not a wow creator, but J1mmy does a good video that describes all of the main wow versions and his own experience as a new player. The video is called "I never played WoW so I tried them all (a lot)". Besides that, Xaryu, Savix, and Guzu are the 3 WoW creators I tend to watch the most.

He's like James Milner, many won't remember him because he doesen't do the flashy stuff. But he plays at an extremely high level and plays at an 8/10 every week, without people like that, your team can't function

I'm a month behind so maybe you found this out by now, but those are toggling your auto attacks, not abilities. It's perfectly fine to spam abilities (other than being out of your optimal rotation but I'm thinking you mean hitting the button repeatedly before it goes off, which again, is fine).

You should try classic season of discovery, it's a kind of mixture between classic and retail

To be honest, hunter first levels without pets are annoying, i would recommend you some other class for start instead of hunter! Hope you liked classic aswell :D

my first ever video game was Metroid

You could make the cam smaller and or move it to the upper right corner and cover the map. Tell what you should do is make a toon of the same thing, like an Elf on both classic and retail and the retail in the same start point as the classic dos to see what the different would be, LOL. There is not a lot of players in classic at all. Can't level up as fast as you can in retail. Most of the players in classic are the old school players from way back when this game came out some 20 years ago.

You're really going to be in the World when doing Warcraft

Classic is much slower than retail. It was made in a time before social media and voice chat was a thing. Figuring out quests and information was dependent on in game chat. Some features are a bit harder with less quest tracking and hand holding, but otherwise classic is pretty new player frindly if you're willing to read the quest and spend time exploring.

I can't quite remember but it was either yoshi's island or donkey kong country on super nintendo. Or maybe it was mega man on gameboy haha

The Journey in classic is way slower than retail monsters actually do damage to you the world feels more alive compared to retail where it holds your hand and makes everything super fast and easy I enjoyed both your videos Addons help alot for both classic and retail But i do like that you aren't using them and are playing completely natural

To a new player Retail might seem like the right option but there's a reason so many people quit, Cataclysm classic will probably be your favorite if you give it a try and stick with it for a while, it's like a happy medium between Classic and Retail

Try Turtle WoW sometime. It's cross-faction. Meaning you can party up with other faction for dungeons and such. You can also share your gold across both factions. Plus it's free.

The classic version takes much more time. The hunters didn't have it so good during this time or they always had to have food with their companion & always buy ammunition so that they could exploit their full potential with bow or firearm in battle! You shouldn't play the classic version alone! Rather with friends, family, acquaintances, etc. Who also have the time to play! Translated from the German language with Microsoft Bing.

You should probably play classic Cataclysm because there is actully alot of players active and leveling and you will go through most all zones playing classic vanilla the leveling might suck with the lack of people leveling sad but kinda true!

As someone who played during the Classic era myself, I don’t understand why people think new players would prefer WoW classic (or even should play it). Sure, it’s great for those who played in the early days of WoW, but it’s admittedly quite outdated for new players.
