FIRST TIME REACTING TO ANGELINA JORDAN "Easy on Me" - Is is better than ADELE??? 

Angelina is 15 Adele is 30. AJ is singing live, Adele is mouthing to a recording. The recording done in a sound studio with piano, drum and bass, AJ in a live studio with only piano. Adele singing about a failed marriage and AJ using this message for her fans to go easy on her. She is still a child, attending school, raising funds for various charities, recording on TikTok, Republic records and her own channel plus helping with a Grandmother fresh out of the hospital after an operation. Adele is fantastic as a co-writer, singer and actor in this video. She has a warm mature voice and great control. I've watched her video several times but Angelina brings out the tears I've never gotten from any of Adeles songs or covers she has done.

Angelina's Christmas Concert that aired on the 23rd and is available through the 31 of Dec, with the quality and history of musicians that were involved, it shows how much Republic Records believes in, and are willing to invest in’ our Angelina Jordan’s unbelievable talent. She is one of the greatest talents the world has experienced! The concert was magic!!!!

Is Angelina better than Adele??? I listened to Adele's version several times. She is a fantastic writer and has a beautiful voice as well technically very skilled but I didn't connect to the song. To me she sounded very robotic as if it was another chore to do and cross off her list. The first time I listened to Angelina singing this song, I was overwhelmed with emotions. I felt every word as she took me away on a journey to her world. Maybe because I've been following her since the time that she was 7 years old and watched her progress from one level to another and I feel like a proud grandpa. My eyes still tear up every time I listen to her. It is unlikely that any avid Adele’s fan preferring Angelina’s version and the the reverse is the same. What I can say for sure is that many people who are not fans of of either connected more with Angelina’s performance. Thank you for this reaction video and keep up the good work.

I heard Angelina said she connected with this song the first time she heard it. That would explain how she was able to do a TikTok video 6 hours after Adele released the song, and this masterpiece just 12 days later. I've also heard quite a few fans say they think Angelina is singing about her childhood with this song, and that is something that seems very possible. For me, Adele sang this song and had a nice video to help explain the story. Angelina painted that picture with her voice and the emotion in it. Yes, I'm biased. Adele is a good singer, but I enjoy the emotion and feeling Angelina puts in every song so much more, and at 15 she still has so much more to offer.

I greatly enjoyed Adel’s version of her beautiful song very much. She deserves all of the accolades she gets for writing another memorable song. However, I wasn’t emotionally moved by her rendition. When I heard Angelina’s cover she brought tears to my eyes. If I had to choose which version I want in my play list to listen to I would choose Angelina’s version.

Adele is probably no. 1 in her genre. Angelina does any genre top notch. Her versatility is unmatched. What a voice! What a musical genius!

I agree with you that it's hard to compare Adele's singing her own song with anyone else ! It's not fair and really doesn't matter ! She is a world class song writer , singer and performer and deserves the respect for her artistry ! Angelina adores Adele and naturally as adapted some of her vocal nuances that is normal for all singers to do as they grow ! Adele felt this song, then she wrote it. When I listen to Adele sing it, it is Adele. Powerful, touching and soulful , as Adele does with all her songs. With that said it also felt a little mechanical, or detached in some spots. Who knows how many time Adele sang this song over and over before the final cut for the video. Angie, she knocks this out in a matter of days after release. I felt the emotion was there throughout the entire song. I don’t know how she does it or where she is pulling the life experience from. I listened to Adele’s version and I did not get drawn in or get chills, she is a very good vocalist. I listened to Angelina’s version and lost my breath and teared up, this happens with each of AJ performances she forces you to feel like no other has.

I to was not a fan of Adele until I heard Angelina do some covers of her songs and now, I am a fan of AJ doing Adele covers. Angelina can cover anyone and make their songs an absolute dream work. As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. There is something that is so special about AJ and It is not just her wonderful voice; it is her total being that draws one in. Remember she is only 15 but has been astonishing people since she was 6 years old.

Angelina has definitely bested Adele on her own songs at least a few times in the past. On this one? Maybe, maybe not. But I think anyone who's honest with themselves would admit that at this point, Angelina is the overall superior vocalist.

Art is not a competition! Angelina did not write this, Adele did and that's another level in it self. Angelina Jordan's performs of this song has no words! Adele sang the lyrics more clearly. Angelina sacrificed some of that clarity in the pursuit of maximal emotional effect, and I think she succeeded, I anyway felt more of the emotion in the song when Angelina sang it. Did she sing it better, that would be no, but not any worse either. It is incredible that we are even having a debate about who sang something better, one of the greatest singers Adele, or a 15-year-old. Angelina has constantly gotten better each year from 6 to 15 even when it didn't seem there was any room for improvement. What does better than her performance here on the cover look like? Maybe we will see in the coming years.

I agree with the others here who think Angelina's cover had more feeling, and for me and many other listeners, when technique is close, a version that makes you feel the song more is just more enjoyable. Angelina's covers are to me, with few exceptions, the best version of that song. Having said all that, Adele deserves credit for this brilliant song. I have listened to quite a few really amazing covers of it, and that is the sign of a great song. In my opinion that is the one area where Angelina is still far behind the top selling artists, and that is in putting out her own hit songs. But I have little doubt that we are going to see that breakthrough before long.

I agree with you, Adele is incredible and Angelina did a fantastic of covering “Easy On Me” with her special voice and ability to convey such emotion. Both artist are phenomenal in their own right. Thanks Megan for your very candid reaction. You tiptoed through the tulips beautifully. Every person has their own favorite artists and none of us should ever try to convince them someone is better than whom they literally love. But, at the same time, they should acknowledge the talent of "the other artist" and that is exactly what you did. A good question is will the day come when someone will cover Angelina's originals? I don't know if that will be possible but, just a thought.

The 1st time I heard this song was when Angelina released a very raw partial version on Tik Tok about 6 hours after Adele released the original. I then listened to Adele singing it & I preferred it over Angelina's Tik Tok version. Then a few days later Angelina released this polished, professional version that just blew me away as her best work, to date. Then I went back to listen to Adele a second time & this time I "felt" Angelina's much more. To date, I have listened carefully to Adele sing it twice, not counting the few times on the radio in the background, & I've listened carefully to AJ's version about 100 times by itself, & maybe another 100 times in reactions, making me tear up every time. That tells you what I think about this song.

It’s so amazing. Angelina did the song absolute justice. I cry almost every time I hear it. I hope you check out her cover of Feeling Good. Amazing. Edit: While I’ll agree that it’s a good reaction, I’ll disagree that Adele’s original is better. It’s not even close. Adele is fantastic but Angelina took it and improved it from the opening note. I cry buckets listening to Angelina. Listening to Adele, I don’t feel that emotion.

"Who is Better?" is IMHO, a ridiculous and unanswerable question. One can say that you prefer one version over another because of ones personal tastes and preferences, but there is no objective standard to measure two such perfect versions of this song. As an example: I am a Die-hard Bob Dylan Fan, so I Love Bob's song "All Along the Watchtower". I Also love Jimi Hendrix's cover. Which one I would prefer to hear at any given moment depends more on my mood at the time than any differences in their respective performances!

Adele is an incredible singer and songwriter and it's unfair to compare with an original but that said, Angelinas voice has an incredible debth and flavor that few has and she is still just a teenager. Her breathness is unmatched in my mind. Many think she sing similar to Adele, but when you play them at the same time, you can clearly hear the difference and Angelinas nuances. But if she is better, which I think, it's still easier to sing after someone else to improve an original. I would say if it's not better or just as good, its a failure and should never happen. Then again when your young you are allowed to fail. But Angie has yet to do so.

The only difference for me is Angelina makes me swell up with emotions and I start to tear up and come pretty close to crying . With Adele, I can feel her emotions when she singing this. The only thing that I can compare both sings too, is the passion both project into a song. Adele is a stronger singer that attacks the lyrics full voice and head on with that Adele trade mark voice. That said, Angelina immerse herself into the emotional lyrics that penetrates your soul, which I prefer leasing to when Angelina sings. Kudos to Adele's new song she always delivers unbelievable music.

Comparing Angelina's performance as equal to Adele's, currently a top, commercial, A-list vocalist, is high praise, indeed. Listen to it again, all by yourself,without us watching. This 15 year old when toe to toe with one of the biggest names and voices in music today. She Angelinaized this tremendous song and added soul depth and jazz technique to it. I think she did it better by putting her touch to the song. That's no slight to Adele who wrote the song from pain and heartache and is probably the Grammy winning song of the year. Angelina performed it with more emotion.

There's no one in this planet that will going to top Adele in her own original songs. The same way I don't see Adele will going to top Angelina if she will cover Million Miles by Angelina. For the comparison I will just put it this way... Angelina can cover any Adele songs top-notch but never will going to be better than how Adele do them. But I cannot see Adele doing good in singing some of Angelina's biggest and best performances (covers and originals). Between the two in my humble opinion Angelina is the superior vocalist even though she's still very young.

It isn't a talent show, just two pros doing what they do. Was Monet better than Van Gogh? Why can't both artists be respected for their individual talent, respecting everyone's individual tastes.

Adele is about double the age of Angelina. It will be interesting to see what Angelina has to offer in her twenties. Nobody can predict it. But I'm looking foward to it.

Angelina has a way of putting more emotions and content into a song. You believe hers it pulls more out of you. It becomes her story. Angelina does it ever time. Don't get me wrong, I like Adele. I listen to it but I keep going back to Angelina.

Love your bright and cheerful reaction as always: 1st of all Adele's song is just about as good as one could imagine and Adele's delivery of the song is fantastic but I'm sorry Angelina's version is much better it's in the ability of Angelina's softness that gets into one's soul and the power of Adele, which is also beautiful, is I feel a problem in conveying the emotion of her song as compared to Angelina.

There's no way of proving this, but my suspicion is that if the listener's first few times hearing this song was sung by Angelina, her version would be the favorite of 100% of them, including MissMeganFriday. While on the other hand Adele's was the first version head, she wouldn't get 100%, there would still be a percentage that favored AJ. In fact, that's probably the case with every Adele song.

I don't believe a non-jazz singer, even one as great as Adele, can match the penetration into the human soul that a true jazz specialist like Angelina can do. Being raised as a baby on jazz, and having a remarkable vocal ability to do any sound she feels is needed for a song, makes her a vocal chameleon who has adopted nuance and inflections by Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. Amy was the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time and Angelina has actually redefined the genre as Amy had done before her. Angelina is, and has been for years now, the Queen Of Jazz.

I'm going to watch this next. But answer first. Better than Adele? No. They may share the first letter of the alphabet in their name, but Adele is incredible. And Angelina... Also Incredible. Thank you for your reaction. I am an Adele fan for years and years. I don't think Angelina did this better than Adele, IMO I know she did it better. I have listen to Adele but Adele sound like if she was doing a performance and was not really into the song. Angelina's version has much more soul and depth and she let you listen to every word. And then there is the absurd end of Adele's video that undo any feeling that was present in her video. No, Angelina has more soul.

Adele is good but Angelina is the winner. She has a tone that go right in to your soul and its so soft and raw at the same time. Goosebumps every time.

The versions are very similar. However, I find Angelina's voice to be much softer and much more emotive. Another thing we should consider when making comparisons between the diva and the 15 yo, is that Angelina's version is live whereas Adele gets the full studio treatment.

I was surprised that Angelina would produce her video so soon after Adele released her song. I think there should be a 6 month moratorium on original music. Some will like Angelina's version better than Adele and not buy Adele's song. There may be other singers who are more pleasing to other listeners.

Adele is sharp or flat on many notes that she didn’t want pitch corrected, it conveys Adele’s pain. Angelina doesn’t miss any notes (I think Angelina has perfect pitch) that’s why people believe she sings it better than Adele.

I would also choose Angelina over Adele because Angelina makes me feel what Adele does not.

I think it's better - certainly it's better than Adele's live TV performance . It's the version I listen to, anyway and I love Adele too, but. . .

Love Adele, I am a fan but though she wrote and sung a beautiful song just did not do much for me other than very nice vocals and lyrics. This one on the other hand, to me , is next level, so much emotion and passion by the 15 year old, IMHO. Like you say, to each their own, and most Adele fans will thumb down this rendition which is Ok and really doesn't matter, Angelina fans respect Adele a lot, one of Angelina's biggest inspirations after all and she shows respect to Adele as well. Christie of the Voice Love Co. posted a podcast with two avid Angelina reactors, Pontus Österlin and Alan Papier, where they discussed why a certain segment of the persons who watch virtually any Angelina video connect so strongly with the emotion that she transmits. You might find it interesting to watch (this is NOT a reaction request). I recognize and admire Adele's talent, especially her song-writing, but I don't connect with her the way I do with Angelina. Explanation of this reaction is difficult, but it certainly exists.
