@arqHHM Because 80% of Kpop fans know nothing about music. Any new group that debuts everyone goes "Ooohhh... Shiny!" BlackPink was a carbon copy of 2NE1. Babymonster is BlackPink with 2 more members. That's it. Nothing original about them.
@@riffgroove stop acting like anything in Kpop is actually original. There is no originality anymore, especially in kpop, only blendings with minor variations on tried and true musicality.
@@riffgroove also just because two things are similar, doesn't mean they are the same or even the same quality. 2ne1 did hip hop edm girl crush. Blackpink does hip hop edm girl crush. Doesn't mean it's the same. Blackpink does it better, much better. Especially to western tastes(speaking better english has a lot to do with that, also having Teddy). Hence their much larger popularity. In time, perhaps Babymonster will carry on the torch and do it better than Blackpink.
@arqHHM Teddy Park is known far and wide as the laziest producer in Kpop. Don't attempt to list him as an asset. And just in case you haven't been keeping up with current events, BlackPink is pretty much kaput.
