Another Beyoncé song with a great story is “Pretty Hurts”! I think you’re the first person I’ve heard say they don’t like “Single Ladies” 😂

I would definitely suggest "Halo" and her United Nations performance of "I Was Here". That song and the video have such a beautiful message.

“Love on Top” “Halo” “Me,Myself,and I” and “XO” are some great Beyoncé songs. she also has some fun ones too like “Party” “Get Me Bodied” “Baby Boy” and “Drunk in Love” but “Crazy in Love” is where it all began!

Bro I felt everything you said at the end. It honestly described me perfectly. I don't mind opening up to people once I get to know them, and know they are a good person. But to most of my peers, and strangers I only show the sides of myself I think people will like, because I'm afraid of people rejecting me.

I grew up listening to Destiny's Child, but I don't love everything Beyonce does, but this one and "Best Thing I Never Had" are my favorites of her solo stuff. You also should react to Reba McEntire's cover of this. Also very good.

Beyonce's version of this song is amazing. She always has so much soul in her ballads. and I love the small changes to the arrangement that turned it from a folksy acoustic ballad to a more POP/R&B ballad too But you should hear the original version of this. It was written by BC Jean and Toby Gad, BC wrote most of the lyrics tho, she was trying to put together her debut album and had never meant to write for someone else and after a break from a brainstorming writing session with producer Toby Gad, they went out for a break and noticed all the street vendors and she was like id love some pizza but im on a diet, bad break up and trying to look good again kinda thing. and she said, but if I were a boy I'd eat that pizza with no regrets. Being the music producer he is he pulled out his hand recorder he always had, and was like how would you sing that, and what else would you do she named off some stuff this and that, and id be a better man than him... so then they went back and wrote the song in about 15 mins and had it recorded in 30 from what I read but as things in the biz happens, Beyonce recorded it too and was an already established star and the rest is history.... anyways, the original by BC Jean is more of a folksy ballad of just her and someone on guitar vs the more POP/R&B of beyonce. both are great and similar arrangements but just enough different to really be different versions. And I just love BC's raspy smoky voice... there are a few on youtube of her performing it, the best is really the live one from an NYC show with her hubby Mark Balas (from dancing with the stars) on the guitar, they formed a group called Alexander Jean (both of their middle names) They have a lot of great songs together too.

Beyonce isn't just a great vocalist and an amazing performer. Her musicality and artistry is unmatched. Her discography is way diverse and bigger than single ladies. She's the most divers e artist of her generation.

If u haven't listened to Schoolin Life by Beyonce then u should. I'm with u. I don't particularly like Beyonce as much as others but that one song is one I do love from her and one I would re-listen over and over.

I can relate to what youre saying. After being through 4 or 5 relationships that crushed me under the full weight, I had to reprogram myself in a way that made me not care as much as I usually would. And if a breakup came, I numbed myself to it, in order to save my sanity. So now any new relationships I have, theirs a big piece of my emotions that are never there and I dont think I can bring back. Its fucked up how your significant other can affect you. Rather than just saying "Listen I wanna talk. I'm not happy. And I cant keep doing this if its a lie." But they choose to go out and sleep with anything walking. So it sucks. But really good song.

Beyonce has incredible range and a diverse catalog. She's the only one close to having a Michael Jackson-esque career living today as far as output and perfectionism and creativity. Since she got free from her father's management, she's been putting out even more creative/deeper work. Hopefully Stewart recommends stuff from Lemonade, Black is King, and/or her Coachella performance. They're recommending good stuff to you.

She can definitely sing, I'm just not a fan of most of her songs, but that has to do with the songs, not her voice. This song I actually really like. I think both men and women have it in them to be a-holes equally. There are plenty of men who are bad to their partners out there, but there are also plenty of women who are the same.

You proved the entire point of the video. It's normalized and expected for women to deal with and be fine with men cheating that people don't really care when it happens because it's seen as normal. When it happens to men, people care and feel for and remember when it happens. You made excuses for the men cheating but when a woman cheated you recalled the hurt you felt for your friend and yourself. Not one mention of the feelings you've had when your female friends have been cheated on, just excuses for where the man was in his life.

Basing Beyoncé’s artistry on Single Ladies is the wrong way to go 😂 While it did help with solidify her as a cultural phenomena, it sounds nothing like her other songs. Even her hardcore fans are split on it. I, an avid B-Hive member, skip it every time it comes on my playlist lol

Not a fan of her music and especially Single Ladies. Not on knock on her voice regarding the other songs, just the songs themselves. She's excellent in this song and "Listen" from the movie Dreamgirls.

This is my favourite era of Beyoncé, now she is fake woke but back then she was apolitical. I’d say cheating nowadays is probably 50/50 maybe 20 years ago men did it more but times have changed.
