Me too! But I also don’t know how they don’t how to pronounce her name and haven’t heard of her or her brother before! Are they faking it for views? Do they live under a rock? Are they looking at other reaction videos that have millions of views and then deciding to do the same reaction video and act like they’ve never watched an award show or listened to the radio before? Just seems so fake to me after a while. Also, if you didn’t know Billie was a female, then you must not know about Jo, Ray, Charli, etc.

Billie and her brother are true artists. No conventional industry crap. They literally recorded her first album in her bedroom, and both record sounds from the real world to use as samples in the songs for cool additions. Her songs are varied from creepy to gorgeous, challenging societal stereotypes, tragic personal songs, and sometimes just joyful. She sounds great just playing her ukulele and singing acapella too.

Welcome to the Billie Eilish rabbit hole! The person singing with her is her brother Finneas who co-writes and co-produces most of her songs. A lot of people will try to tell you that he writes and produces most if not all of her music but both Billie and Finneas have refuted this publicly many times. He DID write and produce some of them, she also wrote and produced some on her own, and most of them were worked on together. So many great songs. this song was released in October 2018 while she was still a minor. I couldn't get if you had actually heard her music before now but given the reaction I don't think you have? You'll find some songs that weren't meant to be serious like Bad Guy and Bellyache, but most of her stuff has a lot of depth to it. idontwannabeyouanymore, Hostage, Everything I Wanted, Ocean Eyes (her first song, recorded when she was 13), Lovely (ft Khalid), My Future, I Love You (watch this one life from the greek theater if you can as hearing the audience in this one will give you chills), Ilomilo. Most of those are her older songs. I'm still getting familiar with her songs that she's written since becoming an adult. Currently my favorites from those are Happier than Ever, Your Power and Therefore I Am, but her short film "Not My Responsibility" is also VERY much worth a watch with a very important message behind it.

It's so perfectly funny that you keep mentioning how beautiful she is. There is a significant reason to her clothing choices. She is a stunningly beautiful young woman, but at the time she was underage, and HATED the idea of grown people staring at her rather then listening to her. As a result, she NEVER wore anything even slightly revealing for years.

Billie is so talented. I honestly haven't heard a song I haven't become hooked on. I have a list of "auto buy" artists. (Back when I purchased albums and didn't just download them.) Billie is the first in a long time to make it to that list. All her music is great, but she is amazing live. Check out No time to die from the Brits and Happier then ever from the 2022 grammys for more recent stuff. She also did an amazing Michael Jackson Bad cover live when she was 16. And of course her album "When we all fall asleep where do we go" smashed like a million records and is arguably going to be a classic in its own right. Also, some background, she writes all of her music with her brother. They don't use studios. Her brother produces everything. Her first ep and record was written and recorded in their childhood home. They now work in her brothers home basement studio as they have both moved into their own places.

Im a couple of years away from 60, a grumpy ol white boy & yet even though I dont consider myself a "proper" fan of Billies & couldnt even name one of her songs, I can still appreciate how damned talented she is... I mean she MAY use auto tune somewhere in her music, but then you see & HEAR her do something live like this! Oh and Britt, Ive heard you singing along in some of your other videos & just want to say, PLEASE dont sell yourself short. You actually have a very pleasant voice. I would be surprised if you dont sing in at least a semi professional manner

Billie says she visualized the song as a video first and then writes the song to go with it. So you may like watching the videos first and then live versions, since the videos give you so much insight into song meanings. Also, her videos are SO AWESOME in ways that can't even be told.

My favorite Billie Eilish is her performances with just herself and her brother Finneas, with one guitar or piano. There are many of them out there from a certain period of time when she was like 14 to 19 that were crazy good. Check out the Apple concert - Ilomilo is stunning piano and vocals, so different from the record. And many others in 6hat one concert. Plus numerous one-offs in various venues. They get to do things so differently in these duets.

Pronounced like Eye-lish. She has an amazing list of great songs. My favorite is "bad guy". Definitely add THAT to your apple music too. It Has been used in countless movies, and a few commercials, you may recognize it if you hear it. Her voice is straight butter. Her brother Phineas is the one with her, and writes most of the music, while she writes the lyrics. She is so beautiful, and very self conscious. As a result, she always wears super baggy clothing.

LISTEN TO HER PROJECTS IN ORDER PLEASEEEEE: don’t smile at me (2017 EP), then her first studio album “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO?” (2019), then her sophomore album “Happier Than Ever” (2022). The guy in the vid is her brother, Finneas, and they create her music with each other. Finneas produces all her music. They created “when we all fall asleep where do we go” in just their parent’s house in her brother’s bedroom. She has won 7 Grammys, and in the 2020 Grammies, she won all her nominations, including all the major categories, along with Finneas. They also have won an Oscar. They are geniuses and I hope you check out their projects!

She is magical …. Trust me … even her as person… they are amazing siblings ❤️ most unique and talented siblings in this century! Her debut album is the best debut female album on Billboard 200 (in US) in this century! Rolling Stone ranked that album as 7th best debut album of all time, 2nd from a female artist! She changed the game in music industry! And she is the youngest in history .. for everything … She is her own element unique in music history .. she doesn’t have a wide vocal range (for now) but her range and tone is everything… After Amy Winehouse, Norah Jones, Adele .. I love that so many people wrote her off (and still do) as pop BS. This woman has talent and if you don't see that , then that's too bad for you. The same thing happened (and happens) with Lady Gaga. A bunch of sad sacks trashing extremely talented people because they make pop music. Let me tell you, as a metal head that appreciates all forms of music but avoids most pop like the plague, artists like this are special and they are truly artists in every sense of the word.

Billie is so amazing. As an aside because I know you enjoy Pentatonix. They covered this song and it's fantastic. Also, if you aren't familiar with Yebba, she's an amazing vocalist. Her Tiny Desk concert on RU-vid is amazing. I'm partial to the first and 2nd songs.
