Fun fact : Although BTS is a kpop group. They were always a hip hop influenced group. Originally they were SUPPOSE to be a hip hop / rap group . But singers got added in so they debuted as kpop . Bts May be a kpop group but they mention they don’t want to be categorized and boxed in one genre or style . In their early days that had a lot of hip hop sound but over the years they’ve experimented with different genres and styles. That have a style that fits almost everyone taste from pop , EDM, blues , rap , RnB , rock , hip hop , Latin pop, etc etc . Two of their members use to be underground battle rappers like Eminem. Names are RM and suga . And they are also producers as well. Edit : kpop music is known for having versatility. So there usually a certain group , song that fits everyone taste

I would recommend the 7 members of bts (who is bts), bts from nobodies to legends, the crash course if not to warm up to them maybe some more MVs from their channel (ibighit) or a live performance?

One of the things I love about BTS is their interactions with fans, we can always feel connected to them like they were our friends and always will be beside us, though their wonderful music which have very meaningful lyrics and has great melodies, and the social media, we can indirectly (or directly, which is seldom but it happens in weverse which is an app for armys to interact with bts, it is literally like a social media with only armys in it.) interact with them. Even if one is not an army, u can at least find some music you are into cuz their music is very diverse you can literally find any kind of music there, hip hop, gentle, love songs, sad songs, relatable songs, pop songs, party songs, catchy songs, cute loving songs, rap songs, only vocal songs, Korea traditional instruments song, literally anything, but no matter what kind, you can always feel the bts vibe in it, if u like dance performance, you can see their dance breaks and performance in award shows and concerts, if you like more aesthetics, you can some other of their MVs and you will be ADDICTED to watching it, if you wanna listen to English, you can listen to their English cover of Justin Bieber songs or other artist. It’s so diverse u will be shocked, for example, Airplane pt2, Shadow, Spring day, We are bulletproof, No more dream, Run, Mic drop,Euphoria, , here I listed eight songs, and there totally have different vibes, so people who loves different kinds of music can enjoy their music too! Sorry I wrote so much cuz I just loved them so much. May songs and melodies are even wrote and produced by them! For example Spring Day, Seesaw, (okay literally most of the songs they participated in producing so I will need to spend years to finish the list lmao so I’m gonna stop here)... and they are very funny and entertaining to watch too! You can see they have really different personalities which makes each of the members special, they have something called Run Bts that features bts doing something different in every episode, it is just very very funny and it just makes you happy! They are sweethearts and humble, they are very hardworking and kind, they are caring and loving!

I am really glad to see your reaction, partly of course because it means another fan, but mostly because it's obvious that you've genuinely been drawn in by that something about them, and in my experience those are always the ones where BTS end up meaning something to a person. SO! Welcome down the rabbit hole. As we the irreversibly corrupted like to say, once you Jim-IN, you can't Jim-OUT (Jimin is the one at 9:12 - girl, I saw that look on your face and believe me, you are NOT alone. He tends to flip his jacket off his shoulder. It's kind of his thing). I suggest catching up with the most recent stuff they've done, then kind of digging back into their past stuff. They've dipped into pretty much every genre, so there's something for everyone. Fair warning, you are likely going to get VERY confused. They have this thing called the Bangtan Universe (on top of all the amazing messages and lessons in their songs - you definitely want to watch with subtitles, you get so much more of the meaning) that connects their MVs, songs, and various additional. . . entries, I guess. The MVs I'd recommend to start off are the ON MV (a cinematic and symbolic masterpiece), the Black Swan Art Film and MV (the embodiment of elegance with a very generous helping of introspection), and the Spring Day MV (known as the queen of all BTS songs, she has not left the charts in Korea since release - this one has a LOT of context and deeper meaning, so definitely check out the Spring Day explained video).

Girl, I discovered them by watching that Kpop episode of Netflix's "Explained", too!! That was in January.
