@BrittReacts Chris was in audience, band asked if he’d come sing song w/them. Crowd picked song. Not his band, no rehearsal and he slayed it!! Chris is a living Legend!!
@@jrshelton3398 wow you’re really observant. He played about three notes on that guitar. Are you going to pretend it was his guitar or.did they hand it to him? You could count the number of notes he played during that whole song on one hand. Is that what he does when he plays his own guitar with his own band??? It’s called logic.
Other than James Brown himself, Chris sing it better than ain’t nobody else he needs to try. Stapleton does a cover him. Garth Brooks shameless some kind of awards brought to tears singing his song. Chris is just so good.
Normally I don't like most country music... especially the more popular recent stuff because it's just formulaic to my ears among other reasons. But this guy... WOW he has SOUL! I need to check more of him out. I think I first heard him on "Say Something" with Justin Timberlake (which you may wanna check out) and then a couple times I've seen him on awards shows I thought he was impressive as well.
I beg to differ BrittReacts😊 Joshua Ledet's rendition from Season 11 of American Idol was phenomenal to say the least. I still upset that he didn't win; but hey, it is what it was....❤
There is a great version of this song on Jason Isbell's Georgia Blue album. He was given permission by the Brown estate to rewrite it so a woman could sing lead. Brittany Spencer took the reins and really did a fantastic jobShe also contributed to a version of Midnight Train to Georgia on the same album.
Yes, yes, yes... however don't count out Angelina's live cover when she was 13, I think...its pretty damned good...she lets it off the chain...and she needs to do more of that... Hugs MOM! Two Be...
I agree with you about all the other covers of this song. Most of the covers are just singers trying to hit every note they can hit with no soul and basically no life and they’re singing, everyone and their mother does this song now. Have you seen this live version from 1981 by Mr. Brown? I will post the link right after this comment.
Right before you started the video, I knew you were going to pause your reaction because you were going to jump out of your skin once he came on the track! I know you you too well Britt!😂😅🤣
This is one of those songs you have to go all in on cause its motha fukkin James Brown he sang this in Africa before Ali beat Forman one of the most epic songs ever!!!
The only other artist that comes close to this kind of cover on this song is Ceine Dion's live version on youtube because of how sassy, raspy and some of the highest notes I have ever heard her sing... she freakin' nailed it too.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ws74bTJNPZk.html
You sure you want to hear any Chris Stapleton while your pregnant? Haha Panty dropper #1 and your listening to him? Oh lord! Ok I’ve got another one from Chris and Justin Timberlake if your up to it! It’s called “say something” and is it’s a good one that doesn’t get much respect but it’s a great song! Great reaction and song! Now go check your blood pressure and take a nap!
