May I wish you and that beautiful child to be, nothing but happiness, health and peace. I am so glad you love Chris, your comments show you know how unique he is. All the best!
He paid $300 for that guitar in a second hand shop. He picked mud out of the body, put on a new neck, hardware and strings and the rest is songwriting history. Got to love a man who could see what could be in a trashed (now) 65 year old Gibson.
Saw him in Virginia Beach a year ago. He did a 20-song set + 2 encores. He had an angel on stage, front and center (Where she belongs!), her name is Morgane Stapleton. She has such an angelic voice, so beautiful (A duo made for each other). This man is as humble as he is talented.... A great show. Congratulations on your pregnancy, U R GOING TO MAKE A GREAT MOM!
I kept hearing this man’s named but didn’t listen to him for months. Finally I clicked on this recording. Oh my word. Seriously this man is a gift. Just when I thought he couldn’t get any better I listened to his version of This Is A Man’s World. Mercy mercy me.
I have not found a bad song from him yet and I have been down the C.S. rabbit hole for a few years now. There is not a sameness to his music, it is all just so different.
"Arkansas" CMT Awards "Daddy Don't Pray any More" Studio "Death Row" Studio "Watch You Burn" ACM Awards Sameness NOT! "You'll Never Leave Harlan Alive" Patty Loveless and Chris Stapleton is a great tribute to both their E. Kentucky Coal Miner fathers. Then you can always venture into his Progressive Bluegrass when he was lead for the "Steel Drivers" or his Southern Rock days with "Jompson Brothers". "Can You Run" Steel Drivers with Chris Stapleton has a live performance up on RU-vid and is a favorite of mine in the genre.
This man, and his wife have created something that we've never seen before! This isn't Johnny and June, or George and Tammy. This is something different.
Every song I've heard from this man just stirs my soul and makes me happy even though they may be sad songs that he's felt in his life I can't get enough of his singing
I would love for him to come to my church and sing. I bet he could sing gospel music like nobody else. He needs to drop a gospel album. It would be epic.
This song actually made me want to cry my eyes watered when I heard this song it got in my soul and just moved it around and made me feel I was at a higher level of existence
To see Chris and Morgane sing together (always something special) watch the two of them doing "More of You" on PBS' Tiny Desk series (a lot of good stuff on that series). It's very intimate and beautiful. Also, watch them singing "Amanda" together on the Grand Ole Opry. Both performances gave me the chills, both literally and figuratively.
Back to (amazing) basics! It's intresting to hear his older stuff in the Steeldrivers. It's like "who is that ONE guy? Why don't they let him be the centerpiece?" Interesting hearing this in the same session as Sinead O'Connor. Makes me wonder what's going on with his soul to get in touch with this much pain.
Hes got two more songs that will make you think twice about your choices in life! Lol “say something” with justin timberlake and his version of a james brown song called “this is a mans world” better go check them out also because they are not getting the props they deserve! Great song and reaction!
Oh Miss Britt, Oh! To be part of your panty-dripping club, That’s right, I heard that. Chris is an R&B singer in a cowboy hat, like Marvin and Merle in one. As usual you put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
No matter what he signs it's Pure "BUTTA". Just makes you melt. All I need is a candle lite room with a glass of good wine or even a fire lite. Just a "MOOD"
I’m willing to bet you could ask him to sing the ingredients off a cereal box and still get stank face. He climbed up on top of that high note and just got naked all over it.
