Depeche Mode another 80s group my BFF. They are from Essex, United Kingdom, they were a big part of what was dubbed the 2nd British invasion of America in the 80s, the first being in the 60s. This is what you call British Nu wave music or New wave. Since you are all about white boys, you may want to check the song by them called "People are People" a unifying of races and foes song, and you got some men working on some steel, "manly stuff in the video!

Depeche Mode are in my Top 3 bands of all time. For many years this was the only song I knew by them. Even when I got invited to one of their concerts. I knew bits and pieces of others, but only this one in full. So I almost wasted the concert, except that it turned me into a fan, and I started buying all their albums. DM’s songwriting, lyrics and singing are all strong.

They were the original ones to do with the song, but then another band called, Anberlin did a remake which was a bit more rock and usually I don’t like remakes of different songs, but they definitely pulled it off very well. I've seen them several times in concert and they do not disappoint. I got to see them at the Pasadena Rose bowl in 1988 and several other times. Alan Wilder was still with the band and Andy Fletcher was still alive. You should check out the 101 concert they they performed at the Rosebowl.

Dave Gahan is in the front and Martin Gore (the songwriter) is in the back. I had the biggest crushes on both growing up in the 80s and 90s, brought back all those memories watching you talk about this lol

I have been loving this song since 1990 when first time heard it. Got to know this band seing their concert in tv from pasadena california year 1988. Later bought the concert movie 101 on dvd and loved it. Gonna watch it again some day.

They're from England, been going since the 80s to where they just ended a 2023-2023 tour for their most recent album. The group started as 5, for a coupla decades has been 3 of them until the recent death of one (RIP Fletch). Now it's Dave and Martin. I made damn sure to get to a concert last year before it was too late and one of them passed! Where Dave has a lower richer voice and is so delightfully out-there on stage, Martin has a lighter and brighter voice and is so delightfully awkward on stage. The differences in voice types make their harmonizing work so well across their songs. DM is a band from England there peak was probably 87-97 they started out as a pure synth band then in the mid 90's kind of changed into a more synth rock rock band.. Behind The Wheel from there 101 tour is an amazing song to try out or Never Let Me Down Again from 101 or live in Barcelona where the sea of hands is a legendary sight to see and definetly Personal Jesus is a song that dance clubs always play

It's 'De-pesh' Mode. :) And the lead singer Dave Gahan has such a dramatic, sexy baritone voice. Depeche started making music in 1980 and they sounded much better back then and in the 90s than in the video you just watched. Just wait until you see Dave during their Devotional Tour in the early 90s when they were at their absolute PEAK. Don't worry, I'll buy you a coffee and send it to you. I gotcha covered! ;D
