f(x) and GG were my introduction to kpop way back... I still remember showing f(x) to my mom at the time, and she was like wtf is this lmaooo. But that's what makes me love f(x), they were not afraid to experiment and break the boundaries. Can't wait for you to see the rest!

f(x) discography is top-tier. Their last album "4 Walls" is so perfect and pristine. I also somehow feel like their discography is similar to Red Velvet, especially the quirky and eccentric ones.

CANT WAIT TILL YOU GET TO THEIR ALBUMS! ONE OF THE BEST DISCOGRAPHIES IN ALL OF KPOP IMO THEIR SOUND IS WAY AHEAD OF THEIR TIME. NO ONE CAN BEAT THE PINK TAPE, RED LIGHT, 4 WALLS TRIFECTA ALBUM 🤌🤌 SO EXCITED!

Fx probably has the strongest discography in kpop from a female kpop group

f(x) was the model for the alternative kpop sound SM makes nowadays. It's so sad that they are on permanent hiatus. Cool that you will listen to Pink Tape, probably top 3 kpop of all time along with Reboot and Let's go to My Star

In La Cha Ta, when each of the members was alone in a room, the room was themed to them specifically: Krystal was in a room of crystals, Amber (Ember) was in a room of fire, Luna was on the moon, etc. Not sure what the connection with Sulli was, but I'm sure it was there. In Chu, it was Victoria, the member you don't know, doing the cartwheel. She is a top-tier dancer with unrivaled flexibility.

apart from unique sounds and stylings their lyrics are also quirky, fun, easy to understand but also deep and unique. i love them so muchhh. NU ABO : new type of blood. They're different from others.

f(x) was the first group I ever listened to bsides and albums! Pink Tape is labelled as one of the most iconic Kpop albums of all time, even the concept art. Red Light and 4walls are stellar as well! They're my ult! I think you'll discover some interesting music with them! They were dance driven at the time! Media or SM coined them as Asia's Best Dance Group... That's a bit debatable. But they're pretty powerful!

Nu Abo is one of my favourite title tracks of theirs (along with red light, hot summer, and rumpumpum). F(x) were one of a kind - honestly one of the most unique girl groups in kpop, I miss their sound so much!!! Very excited for f(x) week!!!!! :D Their album "Pink Tape" is considered one of kpop's absolute best, and it's SOOOO deserved!!!

I was obsessed with NU ABO when it first released 😭 the part when they say “dalla dalla.. different different I’m so different” it gives me power I don’t know how to explain🥹 really looking forward to your journey with them ❤️

f(x) was the first kpop group I ever properly became a fan of - truly rocked my world when I first found electric shock by chance - and it honestly gives me so much joy seeing you react to them and it's like reliving listening to the tracks for the first time again 😭 Absolutely so grateful for you reacting to them and I am SO keen on seeing you react to more, especially their B-Sides!!!! OMG girl! I've been waiting for this for the longest time. Thank you so so much I agree with SM always have the best art direction, and I think f(x) is the perfect example for that. F(x), even though they're popular, they dont really have a big loyal fanbase (well its ofc bcs of SM too). But the good thing about it tho, is that they seen more as an artist than an idol. After releasing repackage album "hot summer" they always comeback with a full album, its Pink Tape, Red Light and 4 Walls. Pink Tape is probably their most popular ones, it is so legendary that Billboard put the album as the best kpop album in the 2010s. And I remember thats the only idol's album that featured in top 100 best korean albums made by Melon. Pink Tape changed the way idols sells songs. And I think, the f(x) after Pink Tape era is probably the blueprint of 4th gen kpop groups. The experimentalism, the aesthetics and even the choreo reminded me so much of f(x). I always think f(x) is one of the unsung hero of kpop, like they break so many stereotypes, made so many trends, they even mentioned in so many western medias, yet they barely mentioned in todays kpop discussions. Thats why I'm so happy for this, thank you so much

Nu ABO was TOO ahead of its time. Noise music before we knew what that was. The way they use the crowd noises as the instruments reminds me of the chants in Step Back or the “the life is one” on TANK. So many f(x) songs could be released today and bang. Also I would recommended the Nu ABO mini album especially Mr. Boogie (gritty synth bop) and Sorry (vocal ballad)

Not sure how much about the members you know but Krystal is SNSD Jessica’s younger sister. Victoria, the leader, is Chinese and is actually older than all of SNSD. Luna, the main vocalist, was cast into SM for her dancing. Another fun fact is that Red Velvet Seulgi was actually a trainee at the same time as them and could have potentially debuted with f(x) as she’s the same age as Sulli and Krystal.

Just imagine their songs on a concert. Sadly, they only had one afaik. I don't even know if they actually had a world tour. They deserve better. F(x) had one of the best kpop discography.

part of the reason i love "NU ABO" is because of those cheers in the background. it's so hype lol. It also reminds me of the cheers in the outro of "Body Talk" by Red Velvet.

Love these girls, daughter and I listened to F/X and 2ne1 more than any other group at the time. I quit SM completely after Sulli's death. Nu Abo is still one of my favorite kpop songs ever.

Nu ABO is one of my favourite songs in kpop and has been for years. I'm so, so happy to see you reacting to f(x). Their debut in 2009 is what made me a kpop fan! They were my ults until I started stanning BTS in later years, which is rare since I like girl groups more lol but f(x) always has and always will hold a special place in my heart. One of the best, if not THE best, discographies in kpop. Their Pink Tape and Red Light albums are next level. So far ahead of their time. They were the original SM experimental group!

fun fact: NU ABO is the song that got me into kpop. there was some random songs i liked before but after i heard the "nananana" part in a random compilation of kpop nanana's and i became obsessed and that started my kpop stan journey for better or for worse lol :')

Finally!!! you got to f(x)'s world!!!! When I came to kpop 10 years ago, it was because of SNSD (I love them) but my first group that I stood been a Kpop fans was f(x). It was so refreshing to me...I think my bias could be Victoria, but I love them all. In this first episode my favorite is Chu...I remember when I heard it for the first time!!! It was so much fun.

All songs are top tier. I got into them because of Key doing a little cover dance of La chA Ta on this one show he and other artists were on. And back when M-NET had their own tv channel, I saw the Chu~❤ mv for the first time. Instant fan. Sulli, Victoria and Krystal were my biases.

f(x) really is THE girl group like if u like Loona like f(x) is SUCH A natural like older group to be into if that makes any sense. they sounded like NO ONE ELSE like truly my FAVORITE older gg by far. f(x) is just SO UNIQUE. i can't wait till u listen to the Four Walls the 4th album like that is absolutely in the grand pantheon of kpop albums. make sure to listen to their japanese track Cowboy too. i love that one.

The F(x) trinity albums are Pink Tape, Red Light and 4 Walls, Pink Tape it's considered the bible of Kpop, since the album introduced the Photo Cards, the case and everything, I love F(x) music, I hate that SM put them in a dungeon for over five fucking years 😭😭😭

And it starts...love it already! As I'm "reliving" when I first started getting into them listening to these songs again with you. I love f(x) to death and all their songs (b-sides included) are great, but the only song I don't like is their debut. But when I got into them I was listening to their discography backwards, so that's mostly why, haha. I really REALLY love "Nu Abo" though (one of my favs), and you reaction to "Chu" is literally me every time I listen to that song, haha. Looking forward to the rest of this week! Safe to say, there will never be a group like f(x) again...the experimental sound is the "in" thing now, but labels won't dare to go all in on it, and f(x) were killing it with full length albums with all quality songs, no fillers with a truly signature/unique sound. GOATS...

Can't wait for the rest of your reactions to f(x), but I would also suggest you check out Luna's first solo (at the very least), "Free Somebody", I'm fairly sure you will love it. It was really one of the best songs of that year, but unfortunately she wasn't as popular as the other members of f(x), but I have no idea why. One of the strongest vocalists in k-pop, though you see that more in singing shows she did. I also think she is beautiful, I noticed her right off in Lachata in that gold dress. Unfortunately even though she has had a bunch of solo releases, she hasn't really gained a lot of popularity. Amber and Luna also did a bunch of collaboration dance music tracks, though they are more EDM, but I think you will still like them. Technically the group has not disbanded, but I doubt they will ever put out any more music (I want to be wrong on this). Victoria would be the biggest issue I think, she went back to China and is really successful there, I suspect she wouldn't have any incentive to do anything further with f(x). I don't think any of them are with SM any longer, but I think it could be possible for Luna, Amber, and Krystal to do something together if they wanted, assuming SM didn't lock down the f(x) branding. I mean SNSD came back with a bunch of members not part of SM any longer, but they are kind of a special case, and SM really did f(x) dirty towards the end.

Luna was the main vocalist, Krystal Jung (Jessica's sister) was the lead vocalist. Luna will be appearing on Broadway for KPOP: The Musical in a month or two. She has a solo album as well.

One of the first experimental groups and the only one I really got into. I loved them. SM did them so dirty. We could've been celebrating 13 years with them! 😩
