Queendom live version is the best. And one thing about Mamamoo, their live performances are always better than the studio version. concert versions are insane too
there is a saying that :two is better than one and 4 is better than 2" to describe mamamoo, their chemistry is fantastic when singing together as a group. Please check more Mamamoo group song
For your info, the live performances is better than studio version. Plus the color coding is incorrect. You need to watch the queendom version of I Miss you. That was hwasa who doing the whisper note
I forgot to give you some Solar solo suggestions. Here's a list of her albums and singles: Solar Gamsung (2018) A collection of covers she released between 2015-18, mostly ballads. Nada Sou Sou is my favorite. Spit It Out (2020) Official solo debut single (despite 5 years of solo performances and recordings). Face (2022) Her first mini-album. Honey was the main single. Colours (2024) Her second mini-album, just released last month. But I is the main single and there's a performance video for Colors. The album includes 6 songs in completely different genres or musical colors. The best song on the album is called Blues. Other songs: Star Wind Flower Sun (2018) Solo version of a song first recorded by MMM. Solar wrote SWFS to express her gratitude to the members (symbolized in the title), their families, staff & colleagues, and to moomoos for all their love and support. Hello (2018) Solar's self-composed solo song during MMM's four album 4 Season 4 Color series. I Will Always Love You Whitney's classic song was Solar's audition piece for RBW. You can find several live videos. Man in the Mirror There's a solo rendition on her yt channel Solarsido and a live version with songwriter Siedah Garrett, MJ's backup singers and guitarist and a chorus of African children for the online World Is One concert in 2021 during the pandemic. Image (5:52 AM) Diva flex. OST songs: Adrenaline, Bluebird There are a half dozen others but I'd start with those two. Enjoy!
Enjoyed the reaction. There are indeed other female idols that can match MMM'S vocals, but it's a fairly short list. And I can think of only one other GG that is as strong vocally across all members. But I will let others give names. As far as the color coded vids go, there are many that are wrong. I might suggest using Olivia White for MMM lyric videos. I find they are the most accurate as to who is singing which line. And they also include the adlibs. Which BTW that was Hwasa with the high note towards the end. Looking forward to watching your discovery.
I'm early! Thank you for reacting to our queens. You should see them perform I Miss You Live even if it's on your own time. Solar just had a comeback recently with her 2nd mini album, Colours which is an excellent album I must say. You should check out But I which is the title track and also Colors which has a Performance video. 😊😊
9:25 Mamamoo's juniors 'Purple Kiss' are very vocally talented! One of the most underrated 4th gen groups out there. Besides the vocals they're also amazing dancers and do A LOT of writing composing and choreographing too. I highly recommend you check them out (though please note that their title tracks usually don't show off their full vocal capabilities as much as their bsides). My recs for title tracks (based on my own tastes) would be Ponzona, Zombie, Sweet Juice and 7heaven. Also highly recommend checking out their intros!
I hoped you did react to their live perfomance, was waiting for you to click their queendon performance i miss you haha. MAMAMOO is better live than their recorded version.
As usual with color coded lyric videos there were a number of mistakes regarding who was singing. You were correct that Hwasa was doing the high notes towards the end. When you say her name don't stick a vowel between H and W (it's not Hawasa). It's best to think of Hw as a slightly breathier version of Wh in English. Try saying the first two syllables of wasabi with a touch of H breathiness, if that helps. :) The only girl group who can cover Mamamoo successfully is Big Mama. They've been around for 20 years and I wouldn't call them an idol group but they can saang with soul. Here's a link to MMM's performance of I Miss You on Queendom with Eng subtitles. This will show you who's singing which lines and it's one of the best live vocal performances you'll find by a kpop girl group. It's up there with Mamamoo's 14 spectacular appearances on Immortal Songs 2, a respected singing competition tv show. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-v44_ffYAj8s.html Queendom was a 2019 competition show between 6 female artists. In this "Fan-dora's Box" round the competitors had to perform a song suggested by their fans. MMM took the spirit of the fan round to heart by partially re-writing I Miss You to turn it into a love song to their fans and added video clips from their trainee days up til the present including shout outs to moomoos (MMM's fandom).
You'd have to assemble a supergroup to properly cover Mamamoo. Put Ailee (~Solar), AKMU's Suhyun (~Wheein), plus HEDY (~Hwasa), and Lee Youngji as rapper, you've have about the right blend. No 4th Gen (or 5th, if you believe that's begun, I don't) can match Mamamoo, because vocals have been de-emphasized in favor of fast, busy, active choreography and backing tracks. HEDY has actually covered Mamamoo's "HIP"!
Unfortunately this color coded video had a lot of mistakes. Check out the live Queendom performance of I Miss You, it’s even better! Solar’s solo work is very unique and different than what you might expect. You’ll still find the vocals on several songs. There’s “Hello”, “Adrenaline” and most recently “Love Has Gone” and “Blues” which I have a feeling you’ll love. Looking forward to more mmm reactions 😊
With Hwasa's name, don't really pronounce the "H", touch it lightly if at all. "Wah-sah" is fine. Likewise with Wheein, don't hit the "W" too hard either. "Hee-in" is better, although "Wee-in" is still acceptable. Red Velvet (who is friends with Mamamoo, group to group and as individuals) has two amazing vocalists (Wendy & Seulgi) out of their five members, which is the closest small groups get to Mamamoo's concentration of vocal talent. Frankly most groups only have one Solar-grade vocalist, if that. You have to get to large (8+ member) groups like Girl Generation to have 3-4 top vocals in one place.
You have stumbled across what I consider to be the worst color-coded lyric video on You Tube, yet it's the first up in the suggestions and get's reacted to a lot. The live Queendom version is better and seems to be safe to react to.
