their dance moves are supposed to look like they were made by a friend group like them, so they are fun and bouncy. i really love their concept

Newjeans is definitely a different group. They are young currently there are three 18 years olds, one 17 year old and the maknae is 15. But what we love is that their concept really fits their age like it would be weird if a 25 year old had this kind of concept. They did have difficult start since cookie by the western audience had double meaning but for the Korean audience it was seen as a cutesy song but after that ador has learned to be more careful and hasn’t done the same mistake. They a loved for their juvenile concept and natural and not staged like MVs people like that they seem authentic with barely any makeup in some of their mvs their dances are cute and fun instead of sexy or mature. Their music is also easy going and very catchy which in K-pop songs are very hard hutting with heavy sounds that’s why Newjeans is very different they have a very easy going sound and very trendy as well they go viral when they do a comeback they are one of the 4th gen leaders for sure with all of them being brand/house/ global ambassadors of luxury brands such as LV, Gucci, channel, Burberry, and Dior. They are going to be appearing in lollapoloza of however that American festival is called big yeah the girls are slaying

all of the music videos are great but the hype boy and ditto music videos are worth the watch 100%

One thing that stands out that's different is they're *smiling* and stealing glances at each other while dancing. Its meant to give off the vibe that they're friends having fun together. Usually K-pop girl groups are all about the fierce looks.

I love them, never thought I'd be a fan of a kpop group 10 months ago but here I am just pre-ordered their new EP. Its so hard to have a "bias" bc all of them shine to me in different ways, all of them are so pretty and charming.

This is what is so unique about NewJeans, their style and aesthetics and their music is all so fresh and different yet so familiar. Like how a certain smell will make you feel nostalgic but you can’t really remember why but all you know is that it feels nice.

A performance video is more polished than a dance practise, on a set with full styling and makeup, either they take just the performance clips from the MV or they film something new. This laidback vibe is quite a trend in kpop recently, spearheaded by this group. Their debut song Attention also has a performance video, it's probably the most RnBish of their songs imo.

The performance videos are where you really get to see them shine! The MV’s are fine of course but watching them pull off the choreography is impressive and fun to watch

The white outfits in the OMG video are from an asylum that's where they are in the mv. The one you liked in this mv is Hanni. I love their vibe its fresh and youthful but with y2k elements so it's familiar and nostalgic at the same time. I think your description of kpop mixed with rnb is fair. Their ages when debut was between 14 and 19 I believe. Hype Boy was so viral! I'm obsessed with this grouo, XG and Le Sserafim. Last year gave us a lot on kpop! I really like the choreo bc it seems accessible for regular people. Like we could actually learn it. Ditto is my fav song and mv from them yet. It's haunting yet pretty. I think Hanni is your bias and Hyein is your wrecker!
