Oh Ladies Peter Gabriel is a deep and very wide rabbit hole, he was originally the lead singer of Genesis before Phil Collins.His solo career spans decades, ranging in genres from Rock to pop and all types of world music. In Your Eyes was originally on his album "So" and sounds completely different from this world version. I saw this concert at the Worcester Centrum in Mass and you're right this was a real crowd pleasing show one of my favorite shows ever

After 40 plus years being a HUGE fan of Gabriel and Genesis. I finally saw him 5 years ago with Sting. United Center, Chicago. Absolutely outstanding concert!!! They played each others songs sharing the stage together. Welcome to the post Genesis world. You liked Rush, delve into '70's Genesis. You won't regret.THANK YOU!!!

Girls, your innocent and open-hearted reactions here are the best I have seen for "In Your Eyes". This entire live video, called "Secret World", will open your eyes and expand your world. Peter Gabriel was one of the first Rock musicians to use costumes, makeup and Theatrical performances to help tell the bizarre stories that his early-70s band, Genesis, used to write and perform.He is legendary for how he helped Rock and Roll to evolve and, ahem, Progress.

The lady singing is Paula Cole, and she's not just a fantastic backing singer, but has a number of albums, including "This Fire," which features PG's bass player, Tony Levin (the bald guy in black with white knee pads.) Paula won the "Best new artist" Grammy award. She toured with Peter Gabriel for a number of years.

In Your Eyes was, if I recollect it right (I was there, but it’s so long ago, I’d have to check the tour book), part of the encores. All the supporting musicians joined Peter and band for this. Peter did that quite often.

Man this is one of the greatest live performance ever! This song was a huge hit for Peter back in the 80s! It was released in 1986. I still have this album! The "In your Eyes" he is referring to are the eyes of his one time girl friend. Rosanna Arquette. She also was the inspiration for Rosanna by Toto.

So the violin------the instrument is referred to as the "double-violin," and it is being played by an Indian violinist named L. Shankar. If you want to see him in another group, check out the song "Joy" by the band Shakti. But you should put your seatbelts on first. Thanks for a GREAT reaction video!

Since have now discovered Peter Gabriel, you should definitely react to his live version of San Jacinto, one of the best pieces of music he has made, and one of the best live performances you will see from any singer. P.S. Peter Gbariel's first live album "Plays Live" from 1986 is one of the best live albums ever recorded. Fun fact: Peter was a founding member of the Prog Rock group Genesis before he went to persue his solo carreer. Genesis' two first albums, "The Lamb lies down on Broadway" and "Selling England by the Pound" are really, really good.

One of our ... under-appreciated? national treasures. As has been commented on by others he used to be the lead singer of Genesis and has ever been into 'the performance' (happily he is over the whole wearing a bowl of fruit phase!) If you liked this you will love Solsbury Hill, Sledgehammer and if you want to have a cry, then Biko. In fact I am now going to go and listen to Biko again.

Was at this gig. In the Round. Peter Gabriel ex Genesis on top form. going out with Kate Bush and all edged affair with Sinaid O’Connor same time. both great artists. I had to leave after 45mins. My mate his GF a got affected by the Lights she fainted. weird experience but one you remember.

I missed seeing him when he was still with Genesis, but I have seen him live twice. That is his daughter too! I DID dance and jump at both concerts. He puts on a great show.

Hi Mark. Although his daughter did begin to perform live with Peter's band in 2003, this film is from his 1993 Secret World tour, promoting his '92 album, "Us". The female singer here was Paula Cole in her first big break. The following year she signed her first major Label deal, released her first album and had a huge hit, "I Don't Want to Wait". This became the theme song for the successful TV series, "Dawson's Creek '.

I joined their Patreon a couple of months ago and hammered on them a couple of times to do this one.. I got to see the original tour for the album in late '86 and saw a similar performance of the song. What an epic performance, then and here ('94 in this case).

I first saw Peter when he was in Genesis just before he left them during The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway tour - never heard of them before and fell in love --ran to my record store the next day and to my surprise and delight discovered they had all kinds of releases to buy -I have been a fan and followed his solo career ever since -- Don’t give up is my suggestion or Red Rain

I saw this live with Youssou N'Dour, who opened for him. First tour he played it. Wow. I think he had N'Dour's whole band the well named Superstars of Senegal on this, doing the choral backup. Biko from that show was beyond belief good.

This was the encore at the end of the concert, I've watched the concert video a few times and have the double CD that I play often. I'd recommend his song "Don't give up" can either be from this concert but the original video is great to.

I love Peter Gabriel, and the album So is a master piece. Kind of dark and soulful. The beautiful lady with the amazing voice is Paula Cole. She is an artist you might want to check out. She had a radio hit called Where have all the Cowboys gone you might really like.

Magnificent song. Peter Gabriel was the original front man for the band Genesis before Phil Collins, the drummer, took over lead vocals. When Peter Gabriel left the band, it was never the same. Shock the monkey is a great Peter Gabriel song. Rock on ladies rock on👍🏻😁🔥
