I've still never seen a woman react to the line "held my weight in shame"; but that cuts deep into the feels of every man that doesn't always feel worthy of appreciation or affection from his lady.
You’ll never go wrong with Tyler Childers. His wife is Senora May. A singer/songwriter in her own right. There are a few videos on RU-vid of them performing together.
You do see the double entendre right? That he’s not just talking about his woman, he’s also singing about the month of May. Amazing metaphors for an amazing song.
He's from where I grew up. We're so proud of him! Follow You To Virgie, Nose On The Grindstone and Hard Times are some of my favorites of his. They're all beautiful though!
❤ Love The story of Follow you to Virgie and Hard Times encapsulates the working grind of love and life . ... hope we get at least one of these . Something about guys like Tyler and Colter Wall the voice speaks of truth.
@@philbowyer874 Absolutely, such a great story teller! It resonates with me growing up around those areas. It's a hard way of life that not many away from there understand. So many have that want to better themselves and be better than their generations before them. Unfortunately the area and circumstance is so hard to overcome for so many...
Tyler childers is litteraly my favorite artist ever and that's saying alot.. you can't go wrong with any song he has. I can put on all his music and not skip a single thing
Great young artist. Lots of great songs and a couple great gospel songs my favorite of which is WAY OF THE TRIUNE GOD the song and the video are awesome.
Such an earnest, honest voice. That break in his voice just screams mountain music. He's got some songs that are much darker, like "Banded Clovis" - that song is almost pure bluegrass, so it will definitely contain at least 1 crime.
This young man is from the same area I grew up! His name is pronounced Chill-ders not Child ers. Please react to his song "Grindstone and Follow you to Virgie" True story, I lived in Virgie, Ky when I met my husband in Va.. Different context, but he did follow me to Virgie, and we got married after dating three months to the day! We will celebrate our 34 Anniversary next month.
You’re missing the metaphor and double entendre of the song. He’s singing from his own perspective and from the perspective of a hickory tree and his woman’s name is May but he’s also singing about the month of May bringing springtime to the nature and hickory. Just a massive song
Simple is best. Lyrics that don't seem like they're tryin' and are just real and how he'd really express it. Using analogies that connect with his audience.
I call his voice a "Crying" voice and he does it like a boss. Just gonna put it out there. This guy, Whiskey Myers, and El Jefe Mr. Chris Stapleton ever put on a show. Id consider sellin my soul to go.
