She owns the song because she co-wrote it, the story is based on her personal experience. She is a natural storyteller, really love this song and in my opinion, the national final performance was more intimate and raw. But this one is still good.
I really enjoyed her performance. Her emotion felt genuine and touched my heart. She was one of my top favorites with U.K. and Poland who conveyed beautiful emotions too.
Her presence is just amazing. And the song communicates a part of the human experience that I think a majority of people can relate to and resonate with. (She wrote the song from personal experience.) Cornelia was practically unknown before this. Love her. ♥
The first song that I've got hooked before Eurovision even started. Really high quality pop song, cute lyrics, touching. I thought I will get bored fast after spamming it on my playlist but it came out opposite - it stayed on my Top 5 from this years ESC after all this marathon which is still going. Sweden proves once again that they usually always are called favorites and it's for a good reason. Quite sad that majority of die hard fans are slamming Sweden and calling them overrated always. It's silly that's for sure. Thanks for another ESC touch! 🤙
little "fun" fact about her: 1. She bough the green ring on her left hand when she was 6 years old. 2. She song is about a breakup she had and that's why the song is so raw and emotional. But when she wrote this song she fell in love with the co-writer (David Zanden) 3. About the circle. Many does think that she has “Synesthesia”. Because she describes in many interview’s that she felt that the song is green in the beginning and then red. And Synesthesia is when you feel a couple to different words, numbers and stuff. But she doesn’t have it on paper, but who knows. Like if you say for example “Emma” you see purple to that name or word:) 4. She wanted for everybody at home to get the feeling that they are with her, so that's why the camera is following her the hole time:) 5. The clothes she has is from her mother wardrobe. 6. She LOVES to perform live. She said that the only reason she's doing music is to perform live, and that describes how much she loves it. I think that's also why she is so relaxed:) 7. Her voice has always been a little raspy but after a big party (some years ago) her voice got more raspy than before Love from Sweden ❤️
She is probably my favourite artist to represent Sweden in Eurovision. I mean to be fair I’m kind of a bad swede cause I don’t listen to much Swedish stuff in general but she is just so incredible
Haven't I told you that you would like it, Dereck :-) And it was so funny for me to see that you exactly in the right moment got such a wide smile in your face when the corus gets open, loud and wide first time ... you felt it! She is great, her voice her attitude and the song-production is very well done.
I JUST LOVE CORNELIA... WHAT A GIRL... YOU ARE GOING TO SEE MORE OF HERE IN THE FEATURES... SHE GOT THE AURIA WE LOVE ABOUT PEOPLE WHO CAN SING... SHE IS MY ANGLE....
If you enjoy Sam Ryder aswell then I would recommend people to watch him and Cornelia singing "Hold me Closer" together. Two of my favorite Eurovision artists bonding together and having fun. I also like when they sing Sams song too "Space man". Cornelia sounded really great when singing that.
You should react to her 2 previous Melodifestivalen entries as part of the girl group Love Generation in 2011 & 2012 & react to her dad Jakob who was lead singer of the Swedish glam/metal group The Poodles with their Melodi entries One Night Of Passion in 2006 & Line Of Fire with E-Type in 2008
Please react to Finland's entry for this year!🇫🇮💙 The Rasmus delivered an incredible performance at the grand final and "Jezebel" is an ace song.🖤💛⚡️Definitely the most famous contestants this year, their song "In The Shadows" was a worldwide hit back in 2003!🔥🔥🔥
You should try reacting to AleXa - "Wonderland" grand final performance as well. That song won the first edition of American Song Contest, and the contest is actually still related to Eurovision, having been created by the same people who are also responsible for Eurovision.
Fun fact about "Wonderland", it was written by one American (Bekuh Boom) and four Swedes (Albin Nordqvist, Andreas Carlsson, , Ellen Berg, Moa Carlebecker). Andreas Carlsson is a former Swedish Idol judge, and he was pretty mean to Cornelia Jakobs when she was 16 and auditioned. And Moa Carlebecker is known as Cazzi Opeia and she competed against Cornelia Jakobs in Melodifestivalen 2022.
She was made fun of when she auditioned for the Swedish Idol. Judges' comments were pretty cruel and hurtful. I guess she showed them. She was my #2 on my top 10 only behind UK.
@@DereckReacts one of the members said “you aren’t so good that you think you are, I see so many warnings in your voice” and now she’s standing here with 100k+ followers on instagram and soon 30 million streams on hold me closer on Spotify
@@DereckReacts To be fair, when she auditioned in Idol, it was back in 2008(?). He voice hadn't really been developed fully back then and she hadn't really found her style back then.
Hola Derek! Te recomiendo que escuches Pablo Alborán y Carminho _perdoname. Buika y Javier Limón en Buenafuente una voz sublime que te encantará.gracias.
You know what the most interesting thing is Derek. We swedes choose Anders Bagges song as the best song. The International Jury choose her.. I think Anders song is the better one..
I'm so happy we've got the juries. Anders wouldn't even have made it to the final. Such a cheesy and boring song. I think the majority of Swedes have either got something wrong with their taste in music or just voted for him because of the fame from his other tv appearances. :P
Pop song like millions of songs. Nothing new or original, Sweden has been disappointing this year. Some parts of the song are too similar to Lady Gaga's Shallow. Italy, Serbia, Greece and the Netherlands should have been above
