There will never be another Luciano. He performed this at the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in 2006 in Italy. It was his last public performance. He died in 2007, at the age of 71, of pancreatic cancer. RIP Luciano. You will always be the greatest.

Io, da italiano, appartengo a tutto questo. Ogni volta che sento il nostro grande Luciano Pavarotti, per la stessa clip che tendenzialmente inserite nelle vostre reaction, mi emoziono sempre, come se fosse la prima volta.......ma è lo stesso, pur avendola ascoltata qualche centinaio di volte. La voce, il suo canto, il coro e anche il testo è memorabile. L'italia è questa, storia, tradizione, arte e spettacolo.....peccato per la politica.... Un saluto

Look for a clip from a movie called "Yes, Giorgio". He sings this aria and holds the last Vincero for eternity. And then does an encore and does it again. Fabulous!

My favourite opera singer is "Fritz Wunderlich", who died much to soon and much too young at the age of 36, falling down the stairs: 1930 - 1966 *rip Not sure if you know him, already reacted to him, aso.... but Luciano Pavarotti is quoted: "Fritz Wunderlich is the most outstanding tenor in history!". Wikipedia: "Wunderlich's crystal-clear voice, exquisitely precise diction, and intelligent but passionate interpretation also led him to impressive renditions ..." So maybe you want to check out some of his recordings!?

Hi~ Emma ^^ The 3 Tenor 로 유명한 (고)파바로티네요. 최근에는 Emma가 소개해주신 쟝르들이 저랑 친근한 쪽이 아닌 곡들이 많아서 음... 건성으로 들었는데 오늘은 참 좋습니다. 음악도 편식은 좋지 않다고 평소에 생각하지만, 자신의 취향이 맞는 곡은 아무래도 정겹게 다가가게 되니까요 ㅎ 아무튼 엠마의 방송에는 다양한 음악들을 소개해 주는 것이 좋습니다. 음악을 들으면 들을수록 " 모든 음악의 귀결은 결국 성악으로 모아진다 " 라는 말이 공감됩니다. 편안한 하루 보내요~!!

My favourite opera singer is Giuseppe Di Stefano. His beautiful voice is unforgetable, like his duets with the absolute Diva: Maria Callas. I'd listen to his performaces in "E lucevan le stelle"", "Vesti la giubba" and "Mattinata".

My favourite... La rondine: Chi il bel sogno di Doretta sung by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa. Used in 'A Room With a View' during the cornfield kiss scene. It's incredible and the lyrics are breathtakingly beautiful. Her rendition is a masterclass in control.
