What's just as amazing is that this was done during lockdown so they were in 5 different locations in 3 different states. They put out soooo much content during lockdown using just their phones and home recording equipment while BIG name artists were bitching about not being able to do anything. Okay, now I don't know if it's because of the expressions he has to make to beatbox or what but this is an unusual video where you see Adam full on. He doesn't like looking at the camera when he's beatboxing and even when the camera is in his face he'll look to the side if possible. Second, the sound he made was a Beistle (if I'm not mistaken) it's a metal noise maker that when you spin it makes a ratchet sound. And all the guys range in height from 6'1 to 6'4. BTW LOVE your reactions.
He's over 6 ft. The thing about Austin is....he can hit those notes with power.....and then he can do it softly, as well....as displayed in his rendition of "Bring Him Home"...a solo on his channel.
If you haven't already done so and you want to hear Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist as you've never heard them before, check out their cover of Nessun Dorma. Home Free is so much more than "just" country.
Austin gives me goosebumps, he sucks you in with his facial expressions added to his voice❤ Then all the rest of those amazing heavenly voices & Adam's sounds are just sooo totally awesomely amazing, thank you all soo very very much for making my life better❤🙏I find myself watching/listening to you all too much, you take up a bunch of my time, thanks, God bless & keep you all🙏❤️
Check out Austin Brown’s RU-vid channel! He and Rob (with glasses and beard) sing opera! Rob trained in opera in college & Austin trained in musical theater with some opera. Austin talked Rob into doing the video to showcase his “hidden talent”. They sing “Nessun Dorma” & stunned everyone! It’s awesome!
I am a year late in finding this reaction, It was absolutely Great !!! Austin is m favorite and I am crazy about his voice. I have met Austin at a couple concerts and he is very tall, over 6 foot for sure. Home Free members have so much talent and they are y favorite group, they always sound Awesome and put on a fabulous concert !!!
OK…Now, being you like Austin’s awesome voice…..you need to to his solo channel…under AUSTIN BROWN… he’s got several gems you’ll love…..”UNCHAINED MELODY”…..&, another that will blow your mind…”BRING HIM HOME”..( from Les Miserables)…..& that one is AMAZING!…&, another one he & Rob Lundquist (the beard & glasses …”TWO COUNTRY BOYS SING OPERA “…”NESSUN DORMA “….Pavarotti’s signature aria…..be prepared ….us Home Fries certainly we’re shocked 😳🙃😵💫🔥‼️‼️ Tim Foust , the bass was after Austin to do WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN….for the longest , until he finally relented…to our ears delight🙃❤️‼️
You should watch some of the other reactors do this one. This one lady (can't remember her channel name) paused after Austin's first couple of phrases, stared at the camera and said "If you could have a baby with just a voice ...". LOL. Yep, Austin is THAT good !
You need to do two things. On Austin Brown’s channel, he has done “Bring Him Home”, and he and Rob did an attempt at Opera. There are many great songs on his channel as well as Home Free,
His name is Austin Brown, the beatboxer is Adam Rupp ( him and his brother, Chris, were the founders of Home Free, the man with the beard is Rob Lundquist (tenor) the man with the toboggan on is Adam Chance (baritone) the man with the blue shirt on is Tim Foust (best bass singer EVER) !! Hope you do more Home Free videos, if you do you will have a lot of followers! When you get a chance watch Austin Brown sing Bring Him Home..he is awesome! Welcome to the wonderful world of Home Free..we are known as Home Fries lol. Great reaction 🎉. I love Home Free😊
Loved your reaction to this... many don't comment on just how awesome this vocal is! You have to check out Austin singing Bring Him Home from Les Misérables, and Rob and Austin singing Nessun Dorma. Have tissues for the first one... I was in tears at the end... it's angelic, emotional, and powerful! BTW, Austin has a degree in Musical Theatre. He's a lyric tenor and can to up into countertenor range. Just awesome to listen to. They all are.
adam and the beats~ the guys harmonies and tims loooow notes~ but austin killing it sitting down the entire time!! perfection ladies and gentlemen perfection!! home free never disappoints!! home fries!!!!!
The beatboxing face problem is probably one reason why a lot of promo concert shots of Adam have his mic close to his face. I hear Tim had been wanting Austin to do this song for *years*. It took the lockdown where they were digging through their wishlists to get to it.
I'd heard that Austin was unsure about doing it because he was afraid they'd stop on Michael Bolton's toes. Michael Bolton contacted Austin and said "go for it". Don't know if that's true, but I read that.
@@janhankins911 I think the problem was twofold. First, he may have said that about Bolton but really he didn't want to be compared with him, rather than taken on his own merit. Second, Austin had some personal problems which would have made the song rather less than appropriate. It's not a song to sing when the internet is full of how your lady dumped you. His great happiness at home now enables him to fill the song with joy, which is where Bolton's version falls seriously short.
Austin kills with the vocals, every time. He never misses, you should check out some of his solo stuff...Tears In Heaven...will literally bring you to tears. Austin btw is about 6'1" and kind of a lanky guy, kind of a Tenor build lol but he does have a massive voice. Enjoyed the reaction John. ❤
Haha.Yes, I love watching Adam beat box,and I also think it's a bit brave to be up close filmed doing it.I love their Brother vid.Adam manages to make his beat boxing look fierce
These guys are the best!!! Check out Home Frees cover of Listen To The Music by the Doobie Brothers. Austin kills it in that song also, and Adam Rupp Beat Boxer extraordinary also kills it. Enjoy your reactions. Keep them coming.
Austin can belt a song like this and he can also take his voice soft and gentle as it fits the song. If you want to hear him do both in the same song, listen to his solo version of Bring Him Home. I have been to three Home Free concerts and he can fill the room with sound. I also got to see him, Tim and Adam (along with some of their friends) in a small show in a hotel function room. Again he moved from filling the room with sound and drawing you in with a lovely ballad. There is nothing he can't do.
Or if you want a live version, check out his Unchained Melody at 'Tim Foust's 6th Birthday Bash'. Aside from a bobble close to the beginning - which I attribute in part to he fact that the piano was a full key higher than it was supposed to be, and he didn't know it - he killed it.
Austin has his own channel. He can belt, bring you to tears and everything in between. His vocal control is outstanding. He also is an expert at putting emotion in his performances. There is not a bad song on there, but if you want to hear some of the best, listen to Unchained Melody (which has over 12 million views) and Bring Him Home.
Yes, Austin nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.
Amberly has pointed out that since she hears the songs being rehearsed over and over again, they lose their power to affect her much. The first time she hears one of the many songs that Austin writes for her is a different matter, and when he wants to play her a demo, her reaction is to ask if she's going to cry!
Austin (Lead) and Adam (beatboxer) killed it. Austin is 6’2”. They are all talented and all tall. They write and sing their own songs too. This was during Covid so I thought the use of tv’s was clever. Good reaction. Can’t tell if you’re using headphones or not. Please do use them…it makes a huge difference. Try Helplessly Hoping, End of the Road, Castle on the Hill, Understand, Save the World. Good reaction!
Thinking out loud/Let’s Get it On (Ed Sheeran/Marvin Gaye), Folsom Prison Blues, Elvira (featuring the Oak Ridge Boys), Mayday ( for unbelievable harmonies )!!!, Listen to the Music (Doobie Bros.), Everybody Walk-in’ this Land. Thanks for reacting to Home Free!
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
You need to go to Austin's channel. He does a cover of "Bring Him Home" from Les Misérables. It's the most beautiful thing he has ever done. Just found your channel and love it by the way...
I love Home Free, and I hope they stay together indefinitely. But both Austin and Tim have a substantial number of solo works and other side projects. In my opinion Austin's vocal control & versatility are unparalleled. He has an exceptional instrument and excellent training. If you want to hear something really amazing, watch his cover of "Bring Him Home", paying careful attention to the final note, then watch his over of "Georgia on My Mind." The vocal textures, dynamics, and emotional expression are extraordinary.
Pls react to one of their newer videos "Save The World" Austin leads and hits some beautiful high notes. New subscriber here btw...keep up with the Home Free reactions! ☺
I love Austin! I love them all for individual reasons. But Tim, Austin, and Adam (Rupp) man just out of this world talented! Should check out more of Austin's solo stuff. Like Bring Him Home (Les Mis) cover and Unchained Melody. He has guitar or piano accompaniment. But they're sooo good!
I totally love your reactions! You know your music both technically and let’s say”street smart wise” in other words you speak from real life and experience as well. You are able to see the talent these guys have even when they make it look so easy and you know it’s not. I have been checking back on your channel everyday making sure I haven’t missed a Home Free reaction! And I am so excited to see you react to them more!
Loving your Home Free reactions! There are SO many more to checkout, I'd like to suggest a few that some covers that other reactors miss: Castle on a Hill Can't Stop the Feeling One Man Band I Can't Outrun You And also some great originals (the first 3 are from their Dive Bar Saints album, and should be viewed in this order): Catch Me If You Can Dive Bar Saints Leave This Town Other fantastic originals from their newest release (So Long Dixie): Save the World Understand Road Sweet Road So Long Dixie Givin' Up, Givin' Up on You
Austin's woman Amberly was sitting there in the room when he was singing. Thing is Austin doesn't need to hit the falsetto, he's got a great range. Since you asked I believe Austin is 6'1 and 1/2" tall
@@susanhorn4325 Chance is 6'2" as is Tim Foust and Adam Rupp is the tallest at 6'3". Not sure about Rob but he's around 6'1 or 6'2" as he stands as tall as Austin when he's next to him.
@@marylee7467 no, Rob is the tallest at 6'4'' but he usually wears sneakers while Austin, Tim and Chance are never seen without cowboy boots, adding a couple of inches to their heights.
Excellent reaction. And it seems you are falling deeper into the Home Free rabbit hole. A couple of suggestions of other songs. Probably mentioned below. End Of The Road covering Boys II Men, and Mayday. But hold off a while for Mayday until you know them better. Also, you mentioned seeing them live. I have twice, and have tickets for a third time. They are even more enjoyable live. Keep up the good work!!!
In fact for most of the song Austin was in mixed voice, not head voice. None of it was outside his most comfortable zone. His voice is powerful but within the group he usually does the high whispery stuff and high exclamations that are Home Free hallmarks. To see him in a different mood, check out his original (written with Jeffrey East) If I Met You Now, or their recent single Save the World, another Austin co-write (with Andrew Tufano). Although he kills When a Man, I don't think it gave much opportunity to show off the sheer beauty of his voice. As comments below have said, Austin is tall but skinny in build. It's difficult to know where he keeps his lungs! But he started classical training in his mid-teens and was further trained in college, to a level where his technique never fails, though he had to do some rebuilding a few years back.
