I am new to RU-vid. My channel will be focused on music reactions. In this music reaction, I am watching The Doors perform Break on Through at The Isle of Wight. This band has so many different sides to them. I am in awe. So far, this band is pure magic. I love how in this performance it is so different than the original song. I definitely love the twist that they gave it.
I am not sure how RU-vid works. Is anyone even seeing my videos? 🤣

The Doors seem to be such an amazing band, so far, and I hope to explore more of them soon. I want to listen to them without doing a music reaction, but I am going to wait!!! I enjoyed this song so much that I made 3 versions of music reaction videos to the song Break on Through.

You are hilarious😂 In 1967, when The Doors appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show, before they were gonna sing "Light My Fire", there's a lyric where Jim says "Girl, we couldn't get much higher". The producer said they couldn't say "higher", cuz it was national tv & a family show. They agreed not to say it, but they said it & were banned from appearing on the show ever again.

Wow, that's a bit restrictive. The word really isn't all that bad since it can have a few different meanings. It is quite awesome that they said it even though they were prohibited. 😆

That's why The Doors have stood the test of time as an all time great band, they didn't change or follow trends. They stayed true until the end.

Glad you reacted to The Doors live. Seeing a band perform live completes the experience of the music. Studio recordings played on radio, cds, tapes, vinyls, and now digital doesn't capture the true magic of a band live.

Ya studio versions are nice to hear, but live recordings give you a glimpse how great a band can actually play. Nothing beats going to a show and experience concerts in person.

Never got a chance to see The Doors, but live recordings and you tube is the next best thing. Seen a lot of great bands live though.

jan van impe so many good songs to discover : Riders on the storm/crystal ship/american prayer(extended version)/end of the night/ yes,the river knows/Roadhouse blues and many more : The end/when the music's over Please, listen to the studio versions, not live ,because most of the time he was drunk and the recordings were not good because it was a long time ago

The Doors live was very spontaneous and unpredictable, really like how they improvised and made the songs longer and different from the studio version. Changeling, People Are Strange, When The Music's Over are other great songs.

Where'd you come from? I like weird girls who aren't afraid to be themselves. There are other great performances from the same Isle of Wight concert. The Moody Blues, Free, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell.
