What makes this music video so great is that it features so many artists/bands from this scene..... Fall Out Boy, Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, Pierce the Veil, Parkway Drive, Silverstein, Trivium, August Burns Red....etc. And you will definitely dig some of A Day to Remember's stuff, they have a lot of more pop punky hits like this, as well as acoustic ballads, and then there's heavier stuff if you're down.
@@cotyriege1624 last time I saw bmth was in 2011, they had architects, DWP and parkway drive supporting. Each and every single one of those supporting acts upstaged BMTH 100x Oli got on stage made the crowd sing 90% of the lyrics and fell over as he walked off, probably drunk or high who gives a fuck right? Anyway... Today BMTH are actually very good. And I'm pleased they got as far as they did.
ADTR is a really good band to transition into the heavier scene. A lot of people who weren't into the screaming music could get behind this band because it's diverse enough in it's style to appeal to a wider audience. I remember it seemed like everyone listened to them in high school even if they weren't really into heavier metal.
They did for me when I was younger. Them and the Used earlier albums. Screaming wasn't really my vibe back then, I was more into pop punk, but ADTR and the Used showed a little screaming is a good thing. Now, pop punk isn't in my listen rotation on Spotify anymore, but ADTR and the Used still are, along with newer bands like Bad Omens, BMTH, Architects, I Prevail, ect. Bands that make good use of screaming alongside clean vocals.
A Day To Remember ride a pretty good line between heavier stuff and more accessible pop punk. They have a ton of songs you'd like and a bunch you probably wouldn't.
My favorite of theirs is either "downfall of us all" or "the plot to bomb the panhandle" Also there are a lot of cool artists featured in this, my top 5 with a song recommendation: Veara - "My B-Side Life" - they are playing easy core without harsh vocals, so likely up your alley Silverstein - "Afterglow" or "My Heroine Acoustic" - Usually a metalcore band, but afterglow is more upbeat and the other one is, well, acoustic Parkway Drive - "The Void live at Wacken" - Also a metalcore band and especially their early stuff is really heavy. But also an amazing live band Andrew W.K. - "She is beautiful" - honestly no clue what kind of genre this is, but it's fun and upbeat rock music Mike Herrera - "No Cigar" (Millincolin cover) - Mike is the singer of MxPx and is featured in the video, as is Millencolin, but his version shows the beautiful lyrics better, since Millincolin is a Skate-punk band, and skate-punk tends to be very fast paced
I will forever suggest a Dance Gavin Dance reaction. Their whole catalog is full of absolute bangers but in particular I'd suggest Strawberry's Wake, Death of a Strawberry or Stroke God, Millionaire. (or Inspire the Liars)
I think you'd really enjoy the band Rise Against. They're a punk band that have similar instrumentals to bands like ADTR and others you have mentioned/reacted to. Their most popular song is 'Savior' which has 162m views, is incredibly catchy and has no screaming - I really think you'll enjoy it!
This band defines my childhood, I was 14 when I got into this band and I’m 30 now……that tells ya just how impactful these dudes are ❤️ I definitely would recommend Better of this way and All Signs Point to Fort Lauderdale. My personal favorite may be a bit too heavy for ya but if your game, it’s A Shot In The Dark
ADTR is such a S-tier band. Everything is top notch. And they have been going strong for almost 20 years at this point. Also managed to perfectly mix -core music and pop punk elements.
This definitely one of their much more poppier songs but not in a bad way. Its a banger! They're one of the bands that pioneered the fusion of pop punk and metalcore so they bounce back and forth from super catchy and poppy and really heavy with catchy hooks.
I watched this video before the concert a few days ago an when this song came on I ironically thought of you for some reason ahaha, adtr is so amazing in person! Great for the broken hearted , nice to be in a packed stadium with like minded people
Listened to this song a lot back in the day, A Day To Remember is a good band, they have a lot of songs that you would most likely enjoy a lot, Boys Of Fall is another good band of this genre to check out, they have a lot of influence from ADTR. False Love, Little Disaster or Midnight are nice songs to react to.
Ahh, my childhood, I remember when I first saw this video I decided to create some cs movie with this song, especially using this kinda typography animations. Now I became a motion-designer, thanks to this guys ;D
ADTR! ADTR! ADTR! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Oneo f the best bands to combine rock, pop, punk, emo, scremo, and hardcore! next songs! downfall of us all, Have Faith In Me. The number one most listen to is either Since you been gone (Kelly Clarkson cover) or iIf It Means A Lot To You.
Video muncul di beranda .. Gegara kemarin upload cover lagu ini 😅 Beneran flashback ke jaman sekolahan .. Ehh .. Ada orang indo kah yg k sini ? Cerita2 kuyy ..
Woohoo!! I love ADTR, and this song holds a special place in my heart. Be warned though, most of their songs are heavier than this one. Have a listen to All Signs Point To Lauderdale.
One of my favorites songs from those days, super uplifting but also packs a punch. They're featuring a buncha guest artists from other bands in the video, so some might look familiar at this point ;-) Andrew W.K. is the fella in Times Square, 'She Is Beautiful' by him is a really fun video by him and a banging song.
Jinjer is a newer band, but they are absolutely incredible. A lot of people react to their live studio recording of their song "pisces" here on RU-vid. You should definitely check it out
You’re the first person on RU-vid that I’ve ever seen mention CTFxC or Charles Trippy. I haven’t even watched the reaction yet I was just stunned to hear that name again lol. I’ve watched Charles go through 3 different Ali/Allie/Ally’s 💀 and finally find the right one 😂 RIP Zoe Zoe & Mar Mar 😔
I've always loved All I want, great song. So happy when it comes on Ellie, you have got to check out Holy War - LOVEBITES! You would love the song, and it's absolutely killer. You won't regret it!
Still one of my favorite songs. Absolute banger. You should check out Father Said by Red Handed Denial. Don't think you'll like the screams, but Lauren's singing voice is to die for.
Pretty much the people in the video are people in bands. The ones you said look familiar are Bring Me The Horizon. Architects are in there amongst others too
I’m so glad you like them! They’re probably my favourite band and my first ever tattoo was of the logo on their second album 😆 Also when you said “they look familiar”, that was 2010 Bring Me The Horizon haha
Have faith in Me is a song that you must, must react to by A Day to Remember. That is my second favorite song by them, but I’m not sure you would like the Downfall of All because it has a lot more screaming.
I personally like the heavier side of A Day to Remember, but here's some A Day to Remember songs you gotta check out that you'll like for sure: If It Means a Lot to You All Signs Point to Lauderdale Right Back at it Again F.Y.M.
While you’re reacting to A Day To Remember (which you definitely should do tons of them) next song you should do is If It Means A Lot To You it’s BEAUTIFUL it’s actually the first song by them my older sister showed me who got into a punk phase but never a “screamo” phase
I feel like you missed out on your “emo phase” that SO many people who went to secondary school 2003-2011 ish went through and it’s those people who are recommending all these songs 😂
