Unfortunately, a mismanagement from their company and scandals after scandals made them out of big3. But og kpop fans know that you can never go wrong with their caliber of talents. If you want heavy rap tracks: Pretty Savage Crazy Over You (all English) Love To Hate Me (all English) Pretty Savage and Crazy Over You have Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo rapping in them. None of these have music videos, so I recommend that you check out the color coded lyric videos. Pretty Savage does have several performance videos that you can watch or react to, but I do recommend starting with the lyric videos first as they will highlight the performer, and you'll be able to start recognizing them by voice. I love that you picked up on how much training they must have had to be killing it live like this. They all auditioned and trained for 4-6 years to be able to debut as Blackpink. Lisa, the orange hair rapper, beat 3,999 people in her audition and became the first non-Korean trainee in her label at the time. yes this is KPOP here the groups are so different and the rules that the idols should respect are so strict so here the groups can be composed with more than 7members( a very few of them are 4members) and each member has his own position from MAIN VOCALIST to LEAD VOCALIS and from MAIN RAPPER to LEAD RAPPER and from MAIN DANCER to LEAD DANCER and the LEADER as i said they have many strict rules to respect from their company and the companies mistreat the idols a lot from being hit to being deprived of food to have a beautiful body to being deprived of communication between idols also in front of camera and many dark things so KPOP is a simple music industry but still got a good sides too !!
I found blackpink when I was looking for Miguel cover too. They did justice to Miguel song and now they are my girls especially lisa. The miguel version is like "we're meant to be baby girl" and BP version is like "we better be together period" lol. You need to check out lisa solo "money" and LILI's film dance performance on her youtube channel. For blackpink songs, I suggest ddududu. You guys need to watch the MV and the live remix at tokyo dome at once to get the experience. These girls are amazing singing live. Great reaction. Just a bit of background, if you aren't aware of BP's history. YG did an extensive search throughout Asia and Australia to identify the best teen performers for their Trainee Program. Auditioned 4,000 in Thailand, only Lisa was selected for the Trainee program. 700 in Australia, only Rose was selected. Something like 40 of the best were selected, and over a 6 year period they whittled it down to the 4 members of Blackpink. An extremely brutal and cold-hearted 6 year Trainee Program (Jennie's words), 14 hour days, 13 days training and then 1 day off. No dating allowed, sleep in company dorms, eat in company cafeteria. Each member often thought about quitting, but they triumphed. So, yeah, they worked hard BEFORE they debuted, and then were ready to take on the North Korean army, let alone the pop industry. BTW, Lisa started training in dance at the age of 3, competing seriously since the age of 6, winning competitions at 12, and selected by YG at 13. They look sweet (and really are), but they are also total savages and the best of the best to survive that program. BTW, they are just as great at dancing as singing and rapping.
