He wrote all of these except Tennessee Whiskey. He composed alot before hitting it big himself and other artists had hits from his music. Great talent-one of a kind performances - incredible vocals and story telling. Blues, not country. Chris Stapleton does both, but this is one of the greatest blues love ballads ever written. You should check out the Chris Stapleton/Justin Timberlake Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away video. As well as the Austin city limits live version of this, he sings with his wife and she has an amazing voice as well.
Now you have got to check out Chris and Justin Timberlake performing this song and Drink You Away at the Country Music Awards. One of the best, if not the best, live performances of ALL TIME!!! I promise it won’t disappoint! It is one of my favorite reactions to watch. I also HIGHLY recommend always choosing live performances when you react to Chris Stapleton music.
