Here is a bit of info Ian or Christian Yu is a Korean Australian artist and video director He founded the company DPR ( Dream Perfect Regime ) Alongside Korean rapper Live or Dabin Ian made his debut back in 2012 as a member of the boy group C-clown alongside Jae Jun who is now a member of the boy group Tan Back in 2015 after the disbandment of C-Clown DPR Ian thought that kpop videos were getting boring and that he could could produce something better and so he did For years now he took a break from being a artist and instead became the man behind the camera who produced music videos for both his collective DPR along with some idol videos such as Mino's Body MV and Bobby's Holdup MV Hes only recently made a comeback to the Music scene as a artist tho its nice to see him doing well He started producing MVS for Live in 2017 and his videos were and still are so stunning that over the years you can tell a lot of producer's were inspired by his works since over the years the MVS produced look similar to what Ian use to create

Fun fact Christian (DPR IAN) was diagnosed with bipolar personality disorder so this mv/ songs is lot of about how it is in his head.

Pardon the novel but here we go: DPR Ian has been open about his Bipolar I diagnosis, which colors much/most of his work. When I first discovered his music, I was floored. I didn’t know anything about him but I saw myself so intimately in his work. I researched him and found out his diagnosis, and it all clicked. I felt seen in a way I never have before. Two years ago (finally! In my 30s) I was diagnosed with Bipolar II (so less of a “high” and not ever in a fun way) also rapid cycling like he is. His work is SPOT. ON. for my experience and I understand how it can be so difficult for a lot of people to parse. Being in one’s bipolar mind can be extremely disorienting, yanked from a high to a low at any time. The high manic phases aren’t all fun and games and are often highly destructive. Substance abuse, risk taking behavior, self destructive behavior in relationships, etc have repercussions just like the dark depressive side. Yes. It can be just as terrifying as he depicts, and I’ve never seen it displayed so accurately as he has. As someone in the arts myself, it is exhausting to get your heart and soul out into the world but I also feel “purged” of all of it and somehow after I’ve gotten it out. And when you’re in tune with your body and used to how your cycles work, you can start to feel the “flip.” I think that’s what a lot of the whispers are telling him. He knows it’s coming, ready or not. He recently did an amazing interview on the Zach Sang Show where he talks at great length about his struggles with mental illness and how it helps and hinders his creative process. He also talks about the extensive concepts he explores in his work and it’s definitely worth a listen. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iPQQnqiq_u0.html I am so grateful that he is able to be so articulate about the way he experiences his life. I’ve never heard someone famous talking about living with Bipolar with such candor and frankness. I hope you can find the time to watch the interview, as he was able to enlighten some people who just know about Bipolar Disorder by what they’ve seen in movies. Ian shows us that it’s possible to be a functional and brilliant member of society and not just a guy screaming on a roof that he’s Jesus or something. People with Bipolar Disorder are consistently linked with brilliant art. I think this is because they’re so deeply in touch with a wide variety of emotional experience and can somehow transfer that into their work. Through study, if not proper diagnosis because of the historical factors, it is assumed that Van Gogh, Ernest Hemingway, Virginia Woolf, Beethoven, Lord Byron and more had Bipolar Disorder, not to mention many famous current artists, musicians, and actors. I’m glad you fell in love with Ian/Christian and his amazing art. All of his other MVs are must-watch but I like So Beautiful and Nerves the most
