Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz Reaction Reaction to Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz. A scene from the Polish film Jak rozpętałem drugą wojnę światową / How I Unleashed The Second World War.
1:16 "he made that up". Exactly. The character's name in the movie is Franek Dolas (Franek is short for Franciszek = Francis). He made up the name to mess with the gestapo officer.
Phonetic would be something like Brzęczyszczykiewicz Bshenchishchikyevitch. Chrząszczyżewoszyce would be like Hshonshchishevoshitse. will be very similar hope that helps you understand!
Zzzzzzzzyyyy🤣🤣🤣 cholera 🙈 jestem rodowitą Polka ❤️🇵🇱 i czasem mam tez problem z wymówieniem tego nazwiska 🙈.... można płakać ze śmiechu 😅 pozdrawiam serdecznie 🥰 z POLSKI ❤️🇵🇱
hello, the Polish alphabet has similar letters to the English ones but they are pronounced differently and additionally some combinations of letters that express one sound. The Polish alphabet is discussed and compared to the English alphabet in a fun way in this video - "How to read Polish or something" - after this video Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz will be easier for you to pronounce Greetings from Poland🙂
Although I have known this film for years, it always makes me laugh. The film's protagonist's name was Franciszek (Frank) Dolas, but he did not give his real name because he escaped the Germans from forced labor. He gave a false name Grzegorz (Gregory), the surname Brzęczyszczykiewicz, difficult for Germans to pronounce, and an invented place of residence, also difficult to pronounce.
The main character was a fugitive from a POW camp. He deliberately gave a false name and further pissed off the Germans. Try this pronunciation: "Gshegosh Bshewchyshchykievitch" born in "Hshowshchyshevoshetza Povyat Wenkowody" Grzegorz=Gregory, Brzęczyszczykiewicz= Brzęczy (Buzzes)+last name ending Chrząszczyżewoszyce= Chrząszcz (Beetle)+ funny sounding ending of the place name powiat Łękołody=Łękołody county -it doesn't mean anything but is hard to pronounce
and just to top it up for you , did you know that in Poland we do not do spelling words, cos we now how to right from hearing. totally opposite from English language. We do have spelling in primary Scholl when we are kids 🙂
Bravo its clasic polish comedy. Basically they poking fun at Germans unable to pronounce any slavic words. Basickly his name us Gregory Noise makig bettle. He lives in commonwealth of bettele of toll grass field 😅
Albo o wegierskim czy lotewskim, gdzie bodaj maja 12 przypadkow itd.
