Ren is Welsh, Glenn Chambers (drummer) is Irish, Gorran Kendall (bass and lead vocals on Paranoid) is English, and Romain Axisa (lead guitar) is French. They are a true multinational band.
Believe me, you've got nothing to teach Ren about singing live! He's an incredible live singer, audio engineer, producer and multi-instrumentalist.That choice with the mic' will have been! His genius level iq and incredible empathy means he's taking it all in and it's all supercharged with adhd, his mind constantly exploring several different avenues simultaneously, at break-kneck speed! He knows what he's doing and he loves playing with imperfection. :)
He doesn't just play the guitar. Ren plays about a dozen instruments well. Half of them RIDICULOUSLY well! All self-taught! You also have yet to hear him really sing! Ren has incredible vocals, capable of multiple different voices, styles and tones and his subtle little vocal touches are sublime! He raps like a rap god, scats and beatboxes brilliantly. He does virtually all his own audio engineering and he's a top-notch producer and arranger! His performance skills are first-class and his stage presence is palpable! He directs most of his own videos and many, like Hi Ren, are recorded live in one continuous take! His songwriting is world-class! Especially his lyricism. He's a poet really and a bloody great poet at that! All done completely independently, while chronically ill and in constant pain! Ren's a unique artist! A musical genius! A once in a generation talent! Definitely react to more Ren! You won't be disappointed. You WILL be surprised... constantly! :)
Lol every time someone pauses during a guitar solo little nasty voice in my head says "posers" but I forgive I'm all for people discovering new music and old .
This whole band is like the Beatles to me, where every single one of them is so talented. Romain Axisa (lead guitar) has a new album out, and it's so different from this, he's the king of melancholy. And Gorran Kendall (on bass) is also putting out new music and he's like a time traveler from the 60s and 70s. I pray they reunite someday!
The mic thing is that this is not a regular live performance its litreally in the middle of the street and also shitty mics😂 And also thanx for doing this
THE BIG PUSH! 🥁🎸🎤🎵 REN (Welsh) - vocals, acoustic, electric, bass mostly Romain Axisa (French) - vocals, acoustic, electric, bass mostly Gorran Kendall (English) - vocals, acoustic, electtic, bass mostly Glenn Chambers (Irish) - drums mostly The Big Push formed in 2017. Initially being Ren, Romain and Gorran with Glenn joining later to play drums. Gorran and Romain met busking, Romain and Ren then met through Facebook while Ren was trying to find a flat mate. They would all busk together and Glenn would sit in as drummer while also playing bass with another friend Rafa. They then decided to become a band and would take to the streets of Brighton and also created masterpieces of their own. They played numerous gigs including a sold out tour of the U.K. and also released a 6 track EP called “Can Do Will Do”. They busked together for the last time on 14th December 2022 and played their final gig at the Brighton Dome a short while later. Having to go on hiatus due in part to Ren moving to Canada for medical treatment and their lives going in different directions. Although they remain good friends and Ren and Romain have mentioned wanting to play together again. _Ren_ is an independent artist and huge supporter of the reaction community. You won't get copyright strikes. On the off chance you do, dispute it and his team will clear it! 👍 Most of his street performances are covers and mashups. He's got tons of original music with singing, rapping, guitar, piano, and full production tracks with beats...🕳🐇
This bands most iconic performances, in my opinion, is this same set with Ren in red suspenders, Shot The Sheriff/Road To Zion/Hip Hop or Wade In The Water/NIna Simone/Trouble so Hard (which Ren has the most epic bass solo). Please react to those next.
LoL your comment about the mike. When playing live, or outdoors with busses, traffic, and the crowd, the mike can pick up all the background noise. Singers will sing with mouths even touching the micriphone to make it pick up only their voice, or limit the excess background noise it captures. Seeing as Ren did the hours & hours & hours (his words) of editting on their videos, I am sure he meant to sing close. He had been singing live for 15 or 16 years by that petformance and knew his way around a mike lmaoooo. 😉 ❤ 😉
Yes ! REN DOES EVERYTHING!! Check out his premiere today. MACKAY ....all Ren, on PIANO.😮 *****Hundreds of reactions, first person to ever say or critique about Ren being too close to the Mic.😅Yeah, I'm one of the nice Renegades, be prepared to be put on blast.......
Thanks for doing this try the one before this one which was I shot the sheriff Road to Zion hip hop. You have too understand they are using shitty mics! Thanks anyway even though ur dad winds me up lol😂 best wishes anyway!
You are allowed to Critique, and you are right, its live and this was after other songs. It is what it is. This was after a Reggae set I shot the Sheriff/ Road to Zion / Hip Hop which was awesome. Try Crutch.
I think I'd have to disagree with your critique for several reasons. Firstly, we're seeing the end product, after Ren has mixed and mastered the recording. So it's generally hard to say whether you're correct or not without being there or seeing unmastered video. 2nd, if you see enough of his content, you'll come to know - he's VERY good at these things. I'll at least relent with a - maybe. Best I can do. 😅
I can’t believe after hearing that performance you said he needed to learn “not to sing so close to the mic.” OMG. Let’s just say, I respectfully disagree. 😳
Please please react to Ren and his Band The Big Push street preference of I shot the sheriff/road to zion/hip hop it's straight up 🔥🔥🔥 and the Guitar skills are crazy Awesome Xx
@THENOBODIESREACTS He don't know REN He's not trying to preforme perfect live But when you find out how deep RENs musical knowledge and ability goes Ya will have to eat those words . He's a masterful producer and could have easily went back and fixed the little things . In this video the editing pros almost all comment on what good sound They have playing live on the streets
