Hello everyone! In today’s video I ride an egg/football shaped skateboard for the very first time and give my initial impressions on it. The particular egg shaped board that I am riding in this video is Anti Hero / Grimple Stix “Gerwer Asphalt Animals 10.0 Twin Nose. Being symmetrical and coming in at 33.25 inches long, 10 inches wide, and having a 14.62 inch wheelbase base with twin 7.25 inch noses, this is a board unlike any other that I have ever tried!
Thank you for watching and please like and subscribe for more content!🙏

Enjoy! It’s fun to watch your journey friend. I’ve been going bigger myself of late. Skated a lot of 8.25 and 8.5 last year with mostly 14-14.25 wheel bases. But just finished setting up an 8.625 with a 14.625 wheel base. Definitely feels better for my size (6’5”). Stay rad and keep enjoying yourself!

That’s great to hear! As someone who is 6’3” I definitely relate to that a lot!

@@maxxthemelonhead big peepz need big decks! Unless you’re Ron Whaley and can skate whatever.

I can definitely understand the battle with the shove, recently got speed wobbles for the first time and slammed pretty hard, and now anytime i pick up speed i just want to run off my board

Exactly! As skaters we are resilient and must overcome though! For going fast, always make sure to keep your knees bent, your body relaxed, and your weight on your front truck!

i think if you went for risers you wouldn't regret it. even just 1/8" you can carve so much deeper without wheelbite. but i don't have wheel wells and do have 56mm wheels

All of my other setups have 1/8” risers and I definitely like them, but for this setup it has still felt pretty nice without them! However, I am definitely not rocking any wheels as big as yours haha

@@maxxthemelonhead yeah i went back to 56-60mm late '90s and never looked back. also east coast crusty asphalt so i like the way they roll faster and smoother and last longer. i got a lot of gear secondhand, fb marketplace and whatnot, so i have plenty of 52-53mm. and a bunch of my 56mm are now 54mm, and i still have a bunch of low 40s from the '90s lol. more important to me that they are wide. spitfire classics are too skinny except maybe the really big ones, 56mm+. i think i'd rather the classic full, radial, or radial full, but idk i've never owned any spitfires tbh. i like wide wheels with rounded edge, so prob not a fan of the conicals

The skatepark looks like Oneonta. I can tell by that super crusty concrete thats been there for like over 20 years now

You appear to be bending your back instead of squatting to ollie. If you can keep your back straight and squat with your legs it may help your ollies. Norman Woods has a good "How to ollie" video.
