I met with her briefly after her Kongsberg concert. She is the most gracious person you could meet and easy to talk with. When Siss stops singing ,no one coming after will quite fill the space.
The Angel Voice we all fell in love with in our younger day and she is still stable in every Nordic County specially her Christmas songs You'll hear on the Radio every Year one of the most beautiful Voices on earth and Now we have another Angel rising from Norwegian fjords Angelina Jordan 🥰 ~ OneLove ~ 🕊
Thank you so much for your great reaction to this incredibly beautiful performance. Sissel was the humming voice in the Titanic movie. Please react to the most beautiful song and performance, Sissel "Slow down" live with the Tabernacle Choir 🙏💖
Hey voice was first heard in the movie Titanic. You should hear her sing,Slow Down,it like an Angel passing through my room She has an outstanding voice!!
Just one of the best ( if not the best ) female crossover sopranos in the world. No point trying to say her last name, you have to be from skandinavia for to manage. After 4 decades she still perform.
@@ianrobertson2282 Nope...you're wrong. There are no S-sounds in her last name. There are several video's on YT with Norwegians that pronounce her name correct. I've registered that foreigners ....specially native English speakers ....are unable to say a name correct even if they have the correct version at hand....
@@ianrobertson2282 Sissel last name is a combination of two common Norwegian words.....hence she has no unique competence on her side how the name shall be pronounced. For Norwegians it is straight forward as it is written. Her translation to what the name meant was to a degree wrong. If I remember correct she said that bø means hill ....while the correct is a field / a meadow. I guess she was thinking of the word bakke which means both ground and hill. A meadow can be on a hill and the meadow is the ground. So her translation could have been better. Trying to convey how sounds are pronounced in written form ....and for a different language ...specially for English speakers.....is pointless. Every letter or combination of them are different in English ....and it seems like English speakers are unaware of this fact. ....yeah ....there exist other languages than English..... Give a written Norwegian word or name to some German, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Arabic, Polish or Russian speaker ....and they will all get a quite good result when it comes to pronouncing. For English speakers....it's a nope..... It is rather annoying that everybody must adapt ......and explain .....and spoon feed these helpless English speakers ...who mostly know no other language.... You have access to correct pronounciation on YT ....and still you can't make it....well ...then there isn't much I can do about it....
It's the story of a young man contemplating leaving home in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia to go West beyond the Missouri River in search of his fortune, never again to see or hear the Shenandoah River he grew up next to.
