I hope before they left malaysia can try more malaysia Chinese delicious food. Selayang jaya Chicken rice very delicious, I always ta pao there. So I let them try it.
Malaysian food withdrawal is real. I spent 6 months in Japan and literally going crazy everytime my family and friends posted food pics on social media. I'm pretty sure both of you will feel this after leaving Malaysia.
they just like our family member, I already follow their vlog since MCO start2020. We hope they can try most delicious food on Malaysia. WE still have lot of food they never try. Although the same food like chicken rice, curry chicken, bak kut teh.different races or state have different flavour and cookng method. Nasi kandar Kedah and Penang anhd KL totally different too.
@@JetLagWarriors, sounds like an interesting thing to do - check out if Malaysian food are sold in other countries and if they live up to their original taste! 😃😃😃
Agreed, every dishes in Chinese cuisine is prepared carefully so that they taste unique and different from each other. To appreciate the chef's skills, we enjoy the dishes one by one.
So nice of Lynn for the delicious Chinese food delivered to JLW!! Bak kua...some CNY goodies...wow! So glad to see them enjoy the food. Makes me hungry!! I like Bak Kua too! It's true abt Malaysian hospitality! Btw, don't forget to try kuih bangkit, love letters and pineapple tart...some of the chinese new year goodies! Thanks Lynn!! 👍👍👍
@@JetLagWarriors home made kuih bangkit melts in your mouth. The ones sold in supermarket are hard. I hope you get to try the "melt-in-your-mouth " kuih bangkit.
I agree with Steve , this type of chilli sauce for chicken rice is the highlight of eating chicken rice. To me it is just as important as the chicken meat.
Glad to know you like the food 😀enjoy dear,, stay safe.💪 Malaysia chinese bak kua and china bak kua is totally different, china bak kua very dry and chewy, but delicious too
Don’t be shy 🤣 Malaysians are really generous people , good job Lynn thanks for your kindness and you guys are so lucky , I love duck meat yummy 😋 just had duck rice before mco. Can’t wait for Ivana cooking session #staysafe btw it’s called maruku (Indian crackers)
If you are staying in KL, I have a few places for you to visit. 1) Desa Park City 2) Pasar Seni 3) Dinner at Jalan Alor 4) Zoo Negara ( Support them, they are having difficulties during MCO ) 5) Perdana Botanical Gardens 6) Islamic Arts Museum
Ivana and Steve is first vlogger I grab food to them,I really like to view their vlog everyday start MCO 2020. Lot of JLW fan talking about Ling's sticker.,but the lynn food not for sale , the biscuit just make for my family, relative and friends that I like only. The Ling's sticker just for own use, more presentable for my gift to my love. Haha I am free and Easy traveller too, I also met lot of kind local person help me in my trip, and continue our friend relationship, miss them so much too, So I also hope all foreign traveller enjoy Malaysia life and hospitality . I also accepted Kazakhstan young couple (.Sofa traveller) stay my house on 2018 too.
Good job & thanks to Lynn & Ridzuan for surprising both Steve & Ivana. The chicken rice looks yummy! Btw what's the name of the chicken rice shop @ Selayang? Don't stop the MH just yet. Get the ball rolling!!👍🏻👏🏻🤓
Selayang chicken rice shop 【士拉央怡保芽菜鸡】behind the Maybank Selayang Jaya . Another one is Heng Huat, but I prefer the first one.Selayang chicken rice shop . their Ho fan very delicius too.
Ofc i chew my food Ivana,im not a duck..says Steve 🤣 Glad to see Steve is in food heaven again. If you guys have bloopers while vlogging we'd love to see them.
You can buy bwa Kwa in KL especially at Petaling Street. Best to call them up before going. Since you are in Malaysia don't miss the McD Prosperity burger. It's only available during Chinese New Year Period.
Seeing Steve eating bak kwa (Pork jerky)... makes me wanna start doing it too soon.. 😁 Normally the chinese will purchase this a lot for giveaway during chinese New Year which is next month.. Yee Sang is very popular among the Msian n Sporean. U gotta mixed it n tossed... Is like salad n if u eat it in restaurant they will normally put a few pcs of raw salmon at d top... Well enjoy d warm Malaysian hospitality.. Cheers!!
Keeping our🤞that Covid19 will soon be over... Ya hopefully u guys will be back during d next CNY... U must head to Penang to see d celebration. Stay safe☺️
That bak kua, you can even put it on white bread on its own without lettuce too as a sandwich and it will be a meal itself. Usually eat it like that for breakfast. Also Malaysia is also one of cocoa producing country and that Beryls chocolate is from Malaysia
What about nasi daging and meehoon sup you had at kedah, surely its on top of your list, by the way, tq lyne, hope i got your name right, malaysian hospitality at its best
The best way to eat Bak Kua is..you preheat the meat, then you tear them into pieces and mix that into your rice congee/poridge...yummy. Should try it.
Toast or char-grilled the bread with butter, sandwich with bak kwa, chicken/ pork floss (not sure if you can get it in supermarket though), sliced tomato & cucumber, lettuce and drizzle some Heinz ketchup, walah! This is one of the classic way to enjoy bak kwa as breakfast :-p
MCO , Lockdown or whatever you called it.... I take it as a time to get some work done at home , learn new things, practice and hone new skills., cheer up .. MCO 2.0 is not bad that the first one..... Stay safe
One thing you guys could do during the lockdown is to make some videos on how someone could get started on youtube vlogging, tips on the kinda equipment, software needed etc. Just an idea.
Steve & Ivana, try to buy Arrow Heads and fry it like Chips after cutting/slicing it using the shredder or slicer. Really good & crispy CNY cookies that we love to make & eat! Make your own Arrow Head Chips for CNY ! Cheers! Great for beer drinking snacks!
U guys Non stop receiving gift lol Nice hospitality Malaysian. If u love the feeling, Try to put Pakistan in one of your plan, they known for their hospitality. Its hard to use your money there cause everything would probably be free lol
ohh.. i like bak kua.... the price for 500gram is rm40- rm 42 in melaka, the shape of bak kua is square , size about 10cm x 10cm, is about 9 to 10 pcs for 500gram
@@JetLagWarriors This guy is hilarious especially when he collaborated with @Bald & bankrupt, on India and mexican tour..👍 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EHzFCBUKlX0.html
Bak means meat. Direct translation from Chinese characters of bak kut teh is ‘meat bone tea’ I think bak kut teh is Hokkien dialect. You can also use chicken to make bak kwa.
Just a small tip...You can use the "Bak Kua" with ( 2 pieces of toast or plain slice) bread as "Bak Kua sandwich. Yup, you can add a slice of cheese too..as you "Canadian" recipe...OK, you can keep the IP rights for that too. Hahaha
Maybe u can listed 10 malaysian food that u love the most and 10 food u not very liked hahahha... I want to know your summery of a year "stucked " in Malaysia... Hahaha May god bless u guys and watch over u guys whenever u travel again...
How bout things Malaysian did during lockdown 1.0? 1. Whip up Dalgona Coffee 2. Planting pea sprouts (taugeh) 3. Make some bread (with or without oven) 4. Make peanut pancakes (apam balik) 5. DIY haircut/color Etc etc etc the list could go on 🤣
Bak Kwa is sooooooooo expensive... It taste really good.. I also like the ba kwa that look like bacon.. Go to bak kwa shop theres a lot type of ba kwa..
Now I need to order some roasted duck.... So far I am having prawn party, first day oatmeal prawn and creamy butter prawn, 2nd day Masak lemak udang.. I might do kam heong next hahaha
The yee sang (add some raw salmon sashimi) needs to be tossed thorough with chopsticks preferably in a group and high for good luck and prosperity for the new year
That coffee is from highland town of Tenom in the Malaysian state of Sabah. Your visit to Malaysia isn't complete if you haven't been to the Borneo states of Malaysia (Sabah and Sarawak)
That bak Kua I can eat nonstop too.. too tasty and wanted to have another bite.. and the last piece doesn’t end.. every piece is last piece.. u know what I mean? Hahaha

Bak Gua is like an annual treat I have, during CNY. can't have too much because it gets heaty and also because it is expensive heh. Otherwise I would eat a dozen big square pieces in one go too
Ivana, you can get the bak kua recipe from utube. You can try doing it yourself, tho it may not be as delicious because here in Malaysia they usually burn it on charcoal.
During lockdown you may be can do food review by thru delivery only. Either from any seller around Kl/selangor that need ur food review or u can choose what type of food u want to review from foodpanda or grab delivery.
Buk Kua is really simple to make in your kitchen oven. Ground pork, sugar, spices, parchment paper, saran wrap and a rolling pin is all you need. (You can use a wine bottle if you don't have a rolling pin) I use this recipe. www.malaysianchinesekitchen.com/bak-kwa-chinese-pork-jerky/
@@JetLagWarriors Bak Kut Teh is Meat, Bones, Tea. A halal version is Chic Kut Teh! With chicken. But the name Bak Kut Teh still works since Bak is just meat, no matter what kind. Maybe you can make a vlog making BKT? Pretty sure Hock Choon sells packets of BKT soup base. It is basically dry herbs and spices, all you do is add water, your meat of choice, then boil away! :D
What gym? You can do that in the next country. The diet, the gym and all that healthy stuff. Just look at Ken's healthy week. It always fail! Malaysia is no place for diets. Lol!
LOL! Unfortunately, you're right. Ivana and I make plans to go to the gym all the time. But a lot of the time the plans fall through for some reason hahaha
