Everything looked great! I had a friend who ordered all their fruit and veggies from Misfits years ago. Looks like the produce is better quality than it was years ago when the company first started.

Sending good vibes from Wales in the UK , I am looking for a wonky veg service here , but no luck yet , in the UK we waste some much fresh fruit and veg every week it's criminal really , like there's nothing wrong with it . I got some great strawberries from a farm I went to last year , you could buy wonky berries for a fraction of the price they are in the shops, we kept ours in the freezer and used them in smoothies, they where great and lasted all summer , we are hoping to go back there this year , your doing a great job by helping to cut down on wasted food. When I think of all the hungry people that this perfectly good food could feed , but yet it gets binned , it makes me so mad , GREAT VIDEO !!!!

I did Misfits for a while. I moved from California to Missouri a while back :( - was happy to see they offered Misfits in MO. However the items started getting smaller and I could find a lot of them in the stores at the same price. They also kept increasing the price, maybe because I live further out? I ended up cancelling. A balance of the pricing offered just wasn't much better than what I could find in the store. They did at the time hav ea better variety.
So sorry for my delay!! Actually I totally understand this I do! Technically when I was browsing even today at Trader Joe's when just quickly looking at organic produce the price point wasn't totally different... it's just crazy whaat pricing is now everywhere right?? :(
@@KimberlyFlanagan Yes. Drives me crazy the food pricing the past year or so. Hoping it gets better. Just got out of Sams and got some good deals on spinach and romaine in bulk. You got me interested in those macro bars so ran into Natural Grocery who had 20% off and grabbed a bunch and a couple Aloha bars my hand grabbed without me knowing. 😆 Girl you are busy. No need to get back to me. Really enjoy your channel. Love Costco and Sams but pretty much 1 - 1.5 hours away. TJs is a 3 hour drive but I have business up that way every 4 months or so and get a big haul. Miss California a lot - the farmers markets were/are amazing there. Not so much here. Looking forward to your next video. You have a good balance of plants and goodies.

I just watched a video from Raising House and Home where she got her first Misfits Box and it was full of rotten food and bugs. It was not anything like what you received. I don't think I want to try it now
gah! that would absolutely turn me off from it as well... I've heard one other person report a similar thing and luckily they did refund the order... but still! that would not be pleasant to open up! I've used it 3 weeks now and so far every order has been great!

Most of the produce at Whole Foods in Lawrenceville, NJ, looks absolutely terrible, especially for the very high prices...The cauliflower is usually going brown...That one looked much better, plus the way they put out the produce, along with every other store, is terrible, as far as produce going bad much sooner than it needs to...i'm definitely not a fan of spraying the produce with that contaminated water, and i'm sure it's mildewy and moldy inside those pipes, so that ruins the produce and the taste of produce...They even put produce in plastic vags, like cauliflower and carrots under the water, so that creates more moisture in the bags and makes the produce go bad much sooner, as well as moldy...And sometimes they take the bags of carrots or whatever that were under the sprayer for God knows how long, and then put them on a non-refrigerated surface, which is even worse...They also put things that need to stay refrigerated in my opinion, like citrus, kale, broccoli, peppers, etc., on non-refrigerated surfaces......IMO, they are doing it all wrong...All stores need low-moisture refrigerators, probably with glass doors, because the openness of the refrigerators, like they have at Whole Foods and everywhere else, the open display type, may not be cold enough, so that may be why they spray the produce...i don't know why they want to continue doing it that way...Anyway, if there is such a thing as low-moisture commercial refrigerators, it would be best to use those, with no spraying, and most of the produce should go in there, not on non-refrigerated surfaces...The more moisture a fridge has, the sooner the stuff goes bad, and the more bacteria...If one store started to do it differently, and they could see the improvement in the produce, then maybe other stores would copy them...i don't know why no one questions it, especially the ones that own and work at the stores....To me, Misfits looks better in that regard...Though, some people cut up carrot sticks and immerse them in water in the fridge and they say it keeps them crisp for a while...that's different though than having high moisture in one's fridge, which i do, and the food goes bad very quickly... i haven't gotten Misfits yet, but it seems their prices have gone up since watching video reviews on them a little while back...It doesn't seem like they are all that much cheaper than Whole Foods now, though...i knew that would happen....The scallions also look much better than WF.....i do have to say, i'm not a big fan of them recycling their boxes and cold-packs, from the standpoint of contamination...Often people's cleanliness habits and environment aren't too good, and what if the returned boxes and cold packs are contaminated with bugs, hairs, dog or cat hair, etc...?...Also not a fan of reusing cold packs that had meat in there, plus they can be germ-y and moldy...i was looking forward to this review to see how Misfits has changed since i watched reviews before...Thank you.......i don't know if you saw this video of vegan smoked Gouda cheese, but it looks good...She's also been experimenting making vegan ice cream with the Ninja Creami...🌲 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kURewwiClLs.html
first! I want to apologize, so so sorry for my delay!! Honestly, this is great feedback.. it really is! You definitely have a point too with the freezer pack and materials too.. I like the idea of it but that can definitely be the iffy part to it all right?? you just never know... I will say, I went by Trader Joe's today (haul coming tomorrow!) and just glanced at their organic produce and i will say that overall the pricing actually wasn't that big of a difference as i thought it was ... it's just crazy what pricing is in general now for produce right?? I know this is totally random and not even produce but the other day browsing around at Whole Foods I saw the Follow Your Heart Bleu Cheese crumbles that i LOVE ... really it's kind of an obsession... lol ... but I would get lucky sometimes when they would go on sale and get them around the $3.50 price point.. otherwise they were set at $4.99 per little tub... well now... the price is $7.99... i was shocked! 😮 Anyway! I do love that this still does help with the food waste of course but man price point is getting tougher and tougher everywhere! Thanks again so much for this great feedback!
