There actually was a Frisbee Pie Company, and the employees would have fun on breaks or after work tossing the pie plates and making them fly, and that was the actual origin of the original Frisbee toy.

Fun fact: the rough voice Marty has after the "hanging" is the actual Michael J. Fox voice because there was an accident on the set and he was actually hanged for a few moments before the director realized his acting was "too real".

What you've missed is all the Clint Eastwood references to "A Fistful Of Dollars". We're first shown footage of this while Biff is with the girls in the hot tub in BTTF2, specifically the improvised use of a "bullet-proof vest". This is repeated in the shootout in BTTF3 when Marty pulls the same Dodge. And since Marty chose the name Clint Eastwood, "Clayton Canyon" (which was named because Clara Clayton died there in the original timeline) becomes "Eastwood Canyon" in BTTF3.

True Fact : In the 1800s some products labeled as whiskey or bourbon were distilled with a variety of low-grade ingredients and additives such as burnt sugar, glycerin and sulphuric acid.(Cheap liquor) That's probably why Marty's whiskey smoked when it spilled over on the counter.🥃🤔🤔

Three reasons Marty didn’t shoot Buford from the window or something like that: 1. That would be considered unsporting and murder. 2. (My excuse) They opted against actually killing Buford, because it would disrupt the timeline 3. The same reason Marty didn’t take Doc’s very Old West-style pistol back with him: PC on the part of the movie writers.

I loved all three. The third was my favorite, the first was in second place, and my least liked was the second, only because if you have a time machine, why do you have to travel to the future to prevent the future. But that's really because the second and third were not planned, and Doc flying off in the DeLorean was a joke. Then Universal wanted sequels and Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale were like, damn, how do we explain this? So they molded it with the 1955 storyline which made more sense, and they always wanted to do the wild west.
@Wiley_Coyote
@Wiley_Coyote 5 месяцев назад
Think about it. It makes ZERO sense that Marty's great grandparents through his father's side look like his Mom and himself. Unless his Mom is a reasonably near cousin of his Dad. 😆 What actually DOES make sense but most people never realize it is how Doc powers his new time machine. It's the hoverboard. Marty had an advanced extra power source hidden on the DeLorean all along, and thats how Doc powers his time circuits on the train.

What's great is how the trilogy completes how it should with touches from the first. Like Marty yelling to Doc through the door about what happened like in the first. Or Doc saying it's heavy and Marty saying Great Scott switching their lines up. Such a great trilogy. 😮 👌

Your viewers may have let you know that this was never meant to be a trilogy. After the first movie was so successful they decided to make a second and third movie and it was all filmed at the same time. All three movies were so well written that at the UCLA film school in Los Angeles these scripts are taught in a class for script writing as how to write the perfect movie.

That isn't true at all. Bears will back down sometimes if you are loud, particularly black bears like that one. They also have very poor vision, so putting your hands above your head or holding an object above it will make you seem bigger. What Marty did that you should never do is he ran away. What you do is back away, but not run. Running will trigger the bear's instincts to pursue prey.
@SA1NT53
@SA1NT53 5 месяцев назад
@@daerdevvyl4314 That’s half true. Especially for male bears. That’s how they challenged each other, it’s called jaw measuring. It’s their way of flexing. The loud sound rule works for mountain lions and big cats, it doesn’t work for bears.

If you want more Back to the Future--- There's an animated series set in 1991 where Doc and his family are the central characters, complete with a rebuilt DeLorean that traverses time AND space. Doc (kinda), Clara and Biff all reprised their roles, with a guest-appearance by Strickland. Telltale Games released a video game that features most of the cast (Fox plays an ancestor in a cameo role due to his Parkinsons), INCLUDING the original Jennifer. (Play the remastered version that includes the original Biff, as he was unavailable for the initial recording session.) IDW Publishing had several comic series written by the writer of the films that added some backstory and filled in some blanks to various events and characters in the films. Wanna know how Uncle Joey ended up in jail? How Doc and Marty met? What happened before Doc came back to 1985 from 1885? What Biff was up to in the alternate almanac timeline? These comics answer all of that and more.

ive seen some people mention this but all doc had to do was get the train able to time travel just once.(through use of the hoverboard tec) then hecould have setthe date to even farther in the future like at least 2015. and get the rest of the parts power, and hover conversion done on his train. So the future would have had to be his first stop , not back to 1985 to see marty.

Something that never occurred to me until recently watching a RU-vid video about this movie(the videos creator asked the question), why didn't Doc and Marty just get the gas out of the DeLorean already there? The one Doc hid in the mine? I was like, in all the years I've been a fan of this trilogy and this specific movie, that thought never crossed my mind(serious plot hole). It wouldn't have made for much of a movie, but it is was more than possible to have done that and left the first day Marty arrived.

If you want to know what happened with Doc and Marty after this, there is a great computer game called Back To The Future: The Game which picks up a few months later. Marty discovers that Doc was killed in the 1930s and has to go back to rescue him. In so doing, he creates more problems and has to repeatedly go back to solve them. Or if you're not a gamer and don't want to play it yourself, there are playthroughs on RU-vid you can watch.

The first thing I noticed as a kid is that whoever did hair and makeup on my Burnaby boy Michael J Fox screwed up. His haircut his quite different between the first and the latter 2, which were filmed back to back. Sure, it was a 4 year gap and people age, but it was amplified by the fact that Marty’s haircut looks quite different between the films. He’s still great in the role, though. Sad what happened to him. Mike came from a suburb of Vancouver, my hometown, in Canada, like Michael Buble. Eric Stoltz was originally cast as Marty, but couldn’t handle the comedy as a dramatic actor and by accounts drove the cast crazy with his method acting. Michael was doing Family Ties, a sitcom, at the time, playing the Reagan loving (conservative) son of hippies. I always found the joke about who the president is in 1985 hilarious for that reason. My babysitter in the mid 80s was obsessed with him. He was kind of a heartthrob. Gives us short guys hope.

If I had to arrange the order preference - 3, 1, 2 - with but minuscule difference between all 3. A great series. Love your reaction! The perfect audience, and "girl" reaction to this one. Amused at your use of the phrase "tits up." There have been only two people I've known to use that phrase, both women. Besides you, the other is a comedian I've known since the late 1990's. She is from Kentucky, and when we first met, her brother was a Navy SEAL. She used the phrase in a joke involving someone found dead in the ocean. I had always thought the expression must have originated among those from the "south" (American southern states, which includes Kentucky). After hearing you say it, I did a search on the phrase, to find it was common among those in the Royal Navy, either during or after WW2. Maybe being in the Navy is the common connection. She may have heard her brother use the term. Do you, Liala have a Navy connection, or is it a common phrase in the U.K.?

I I've always loved these movies, but I've seen them so many times over the years, that I've had a chance to pick out things that I don't like. The big one, that really gets me is this whole business about Marty being triggered for being called "chicken". Where the hell did that come from? It's such a defining component of his personality, and so important to the story, and yet there is absolutely no reference to it in the first film. It seems like the writers couldn't figure out how to move the plot along so they just invented some random thing and pretended that it's been that way the whole time. That's the huge thing for me, and the second, smaller thing, why did they bring Jennifer along if they're just going to put her to sleep? They said she was asking too many questions about the future, well, why not just tell her that "we can't tell you" and be done with it. Why put her to sleep? Those two parts really bug me, but I love the movies otherwise.
@islandseeker1260
@islandseeker1260 5 месяцев назад
They brought Jennifer along because that's how the first movie ended... with Jennifer in the car. Originally it was never intended for BTTF to be a trilogy so the ending of the first movie was just for fun; then they were forced to include Jennifer for continuity. With Jennifer asleep they didn't have to include her in most of the scenes. If she was still awake she would have been a much larger part of the story. It's not like you could just drop her off at the mall and pick her up again in a few hours!

No, Doc's dog in 1955 is NOT Einstein. His name is Copernicus, and he's a completely different pup. Dogs don't typically live for 30 years.

The 2nd one is my favourite but all 3 are great. You would probably say the 1st one is the best. I saw BTTF 2 in the cinema when I was 7 years old. Loved it. For me its the best trilogy still. Name me another trilogy that is better?

Ranking: 1, 3 then 2. Part one was originally meant to be a stand-alone with a joke at the end of future adventures. The writers never expected to make a sequel. Part one is almost a perfect film. Almost every line spoken in the first 20 minutes of the movie are important and get paid off in the movie. It has heart, spectacle and George McFly. It gave me chills. It may be my favorite film. Part two and three lose points immediately for replacing the original Jennifer with a pale imitation (I love Elizabeth Shue, but no) and not using the real George McFly. He was a large part of the heart of part one. Also, they introduced the “chicken” trigger to give Marty a character arc. It feels really tagged on. Part three is great - these films are much better at creating a realistic past than a future. The Time Machine in the mine was nothing short of brilliant. Buford was a great character. You have to give it up to Tom Wilson. He is consistently the best at playing multiple characters. The love story was very cool. Most of all, each of the characters and the world they lived in felt real. That can’t be said of part two. Part two was super clever- although we know Doc would never bring Marty to the future to prevent his kids from going to prison. Still, the alternate 1985, the repeat visit to 1955 and the Western Union letter were brilliant. Unfortunately, the future felt like slapstick melodrama. None of the future characters aside from Biff felt real. Both versions of Lorraine scarred me and ruined the image they created for her in Part One. Her granny voice sounded like a SNL skit. They left Jennifer in the alley. Jennifer screamed “I’m old!” as her older self screamed “I’m young!” and they passed out in identical fashion? 🤦🏻‍♂️ The Emmitt Brown newspaper changed from “committed” to “commended”? The alternate 1985 was clever, but returning to the fifties redeemed this movie and made it worthy of the series. I love all three and BTTF is still one of the best trilogies ever. I just wish the future was taken more seriously. I also wished they had negotiated for the return of George and dropped the “chicken” bit. 😅

I doubt they ever could have gotten Crispin Glover back, since his issue was one of ethics and not money. And I thought the "Committed/Commended" transition was clever. But I agree with every other point you made. A thorough and well-worded analysis.

I can live the Jennifer swap, since the Reason Claudia didn't come back was that she stepped away from acting to care for her mother who had Cancer......

Great reaction Liala like always. this trilogy is best love every single movie, there are some fun facts about this one. During the scene where Mad Dog Tannen and his cronies are attempting to hang Marty after their disagreement in the saloon, Michael J Fox accidentally got hanged for real for a short time, making him pass out for a few moments. The producers asked Clint Eastwood for permission to use his name and he was happy and thrilled to say yes. The band ZZ Top were hanging around on the set of the film, and ended up portraying the band at the town party. There were some technical issues whilst filming and, whilst repairs were taking place to get them fixed, ZZ Top took requests from the cast and crew and gave a small concert. Thomas F Wilson, who plays Mad Dog Tannen, did all of his own horse riding and horse stunts during the film. Not only that, but he also lassoed Marty. When Marty arrives back in 1985, the Delorean is quickly destroyed by a freight train. When it came to arranging the scene to be filmed, the producers asked the driver of the freight train whether hitting the car would derail the train, as they didn’t want to cause too much carnage. The driver shrugged it off, saying, ‘I’ve been waiting my whole life to do this. And the set of the Old West Hill Valley was used 4 years earlier for Pale Rider - a western starring none other than Clint Eastwood, which hit cinemas in 1985. Keep up the good work.

A fabulous movie reaction(s) . Part 3 is my fav plus most great romance movies involve a train. An alternate timeline Does exist in real life England. Imagine if Griff copied his Gramps in Part 2 stealing the DeLorean, then Griff went back to 1885 to meet Mad Dog Tannen. Griff kidnapped Clara before she could meet Doc and took her to Nuneaton, England. Griff muscled in on the Griff Colliery and in 1895 opened the Griff Clara Mine. Griff Way, Griff Lane, Griff House Farm still remain in Nuneaton UK. Historical reports of the Griff Clara Mine exist. And the Griff Clara Mine closed in the year... 1955... when Doc and Marty restored the timelines in Parts 1, 2, and 3. A long straight stretch of railway is nearby so Doc could arrive on EBR to rescue Clara. Also beside Griff House Farm is a "Premier Inn" as in movie premiere. 🤔 If the Griff Clara Mine were allowed to operate past 1955, it would have unraveled the very fabric of the space time continuum and destroy the entire universe.

First one, 1985...30 years later, 2015...is when documentary about the 3 came out, called Back in Time. Look it up to watch, so good. If we were kissing and more, I wouldn't want that to end....haha! 💕💋💕💋💕

26:47 - "Is it chili?" More likely Tabasco sauce. That was the red stuff in the small bottle. Tabasco was invented in 1868. So it was in existence 17 years in 1885.

I like this third movie, but to me, it's always been the obvious weak link because of the romance. It's been the case since I was a kid. The cheesiness of the scenes between Doc and Clara has always been overkill to me, even as a 12 year old, when she says "I love you", I was like "dafuh?"... I've never found Mary Steenburgen particularly appealing, that didn't help... but hey, it's the ONLY issue I have with the third movie. The overall quality of the trilogy is very, very impressive.

Mind blown as an kid that Part II & III were filmed, back to back. I loved the teaser trailer for Part III at the end of Part II and couldn't wait to see the grand finale. Part III is the only film in the series that i've seen in theaters. This was the first Universal release to unveil the newest logo and in time for it's studios' 75th Anniversary. Loved that it was in the old west, Marty overcoming his fear of cowardice, ELB having his own story and growth in more than just science, everything being wrapped up just like that I was pleased with ZZ Top playing 3 of the band members at the clock ceremony. Them performing the film's song, "Doubleback" within the ceremony and hearing it during the end credits was cool. I played the video game, BTTF part II & part III (2 stories in one) for the Sega Genesis, complicated and full of craziness. There was an Saturday Morning animated series, 2 seasons (28 episodes) from running from CBS to the Fox Kids Network. It was new adventures with Marty, Einstein, ELB, Clara and their kids. They used both vehicles, the Train and a new Delorean, 2 of the castmembers from the films were involved as voices, Thomas F. Wilson reprised as Tannen characters (obviously) and Mary Steenburgen reprised her role as Clara. The icing on the cake was the BTTF ride at Universal Studios Hollywood and Orlando, Florida. This was a solid ending. Defining of what every trilogy should be.

There are several sequels which are really good (T2, Aliens, The Godfather part II), but there is no third movie (not even in the MCU) that hits the spot so satisfyingly as this - an all-time great!

Ready for something crazy... Mary Steenburgen was also in another time machine movie made in 1979 Time After Time. She looks almost the same there too. Watch that movie. It's good too. 👍

I would rank #1 and #3 at the best - only separated by the margin of error (which is quite small based on my personal scoring). #2 was out of the competition since is was unnecessarily dark and somewhat predictable.
