Percy destroyed his (halfway decent) career by marrying a 16 year old. Then she became famous dude to this. Courtney Stoddard. Sam Rockwell did this and GalaxyQuest back to back and could not be more different. The grim reaper was the little girl’s dad.
13:13 This character, Tank, admittedly, is a _supporting_ character, but as far as supporting characters go, I liked him. The actor who played him, though, conducted himself in an _especially_ unintelligent manner, during contract negotiations for the sequels. His name's Marcus Chong. The Wachowskis offered him $250,000 to continue his character in both sequels, but he declined it, arguing that he was owed _twice_ that, in addition to bonuses and guarantees he would be invited to press junkets and premieres. That much would've been enough to end his contract, but it went beyond that. When he also started making threatening phone calls, he was arrested for it and blackballed from Hollywood. Tank is a genius, but Chong was an idiot.
Eduard Delacroix he is incarcerated for multiple deaths due to a fire he started while trying to cover up his rape and murder of a young girl when you know his crime sympathy kinda leaves
3:15 "You shoulda took the day off, gone to see the doctor." People are often _very_ quick to suggest that with Paul; people accustomed to early-21st-century medicine. Paul Edgecomb, though, has a urinary tract infection. The best treatment for it is antibiotics, which, _nowadays,_ are available all _over_ the place. You can get 'em in hospitals, clinics and pharmacies. The way things are going, one day, you'll probably be able to get 'em in _banks._ This was the 1930's, though. Paul didn't know about 'em. His _doctor_ probably didn't know about 'em, and without antibiotics, the treatment for UTI is about as bad as the disease. No, the time before antibiotics was a _miserable_ time.
Liala, I have seen this movie many times but always take it hard at the end. It was a pleasure weeping profusely with you at the end. It is that good. Great reaction. Thanks ❤
This is one of the greatest movies ever made. I've seen it lots of times. I always sob. In the book, it says Del raped and murdered a little girl, and set a house on fire, killing 6 or 7 others.
If you need a movie to feel good about after this…there is an under the radar..actually critics loved,film..WARM BODIES..chunky English kids played in a Hugh Grant movie called…About a Boy..that chunky young kid grew into an English HUNK..now much in demand by every producer/director..and he is the lead in WARM BODIES…about zombies who remember and dream and fall in love…John Malkovich is a girl’s father..once you see this guy, you might ask is this the same kid…he is…and it is a very, very good time at the movies…
Whether it is this movie or a naturally occurring phenomenon..you have the saddest eyes in cinema..definitely in Kansas..but you are truly beautiful..perhaps one of a kind..and you deserve a happy ending movie now..there are upbeat movies to be had..or seen, or experienced..as long as you don’t get confused and watch The Shining…another Stephen King film…
A beautiful reaction, Liala. Thank you. The realization of what John Coffey is (Who, after all, can heal the sick, reverse death, and punish the wicked?), the significance of what it means to execute him, and worse, that he *wants* to be executed because he is so weary of the pain and evil in the world, is devastating.
Not being disrespectful, but you remind me some of the girls we have in Kansas..50 states and Kansas is right in the middle..technically, Kansas is the old American west..cowboys…cow towns..of Abilene, Wichita, and Dodge City..the man who invented basketball..James Naismith..was our 1st coach and is buried there in Lawrence with his wife (1939)..the. Woman flyer, Amelia Earhart was born 20 miles east.of my town…in Atchison..and Atchison..at some point was part of the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad..my family arrived from England in 1646..130 years before the Revolution..sorry to boor you..they’re just some historical facts..
You have to wonder, if a tiny piece of John's power made Mr Jingles and Paul live so long, how old was John? Really puts into a different perspective John saying how tired he is.
Getting emotional is good for us…let’s us open up..everyone hates Percy..and most realize pretty early on..he is an Angel..and there are lots of clues….rewatch….
Cat's eyes, Misery, original IT, heck even Langoliers (Half past midnight) influenced me hardcore as a kid. King still is King of both book and cinema. Guess I'm an Apt Puple (without the Nazi horror).
So, domestic mice typically live 1-3 years. Mr. Jingles was at least 64 years old. Let’s just say human life expectancy is around 70 years or so. So, if we extrapolate, Paul has another couple millennia of atonement.
This movie... It already destroyed you and then it goes: "Please don't put me in the dark. I am afraid of the dark." Giving you a gut punch to finish you off if you were still holding out.
Lady you have to watch "Slingblade" this movie is one of The greatest movies ,id you don't get a lump in your throat, you're not a human, And have a bopeep at MUD, with the McConaughey, brilliant acting. Anyway, hooroo🇦🇺✌️
Great Reaction! Because it was the typical reaction to this Movie 😭! My Friends and I saw this back when it was in Theaters! And every one in that Theater walked out with Tears in their eyes 😢! Such a Masterpiece of a Story from Stephen King!
So there was a thread on Reddit recently asking what is the saddest movie of all time. This movie was definitely mentioned, but there was another one that I had forgotten about because it was too sad to watch as a kid, an older Disney cartoon movie called The Land Before Time.
