Love watching first timers, especially when they get it. BAND-MAID is the best ROCK band in the world right now. They have 3 songs for Anime's. And just premiered their cameo appearance in the Netflix move KATE. They are rolling toward world domination. For more great, FUN and energetic music try: Freedom-Live, Onset-Live, Play-Live. MV's Warning, Dice, Blooming, RInne. Don't forget the MV Daydreaming. Band-Maid always comes thru. Always. Peace.

Well, I think I've heard a similar statement like yours at the end before: "The most adorable little musical badasses that I've seen in a long time. " And how right you both are with this statement! And how true it also is that these ladies make some bands out there, no matter how big their name may be, look pretty bad. :) Studio or live doesn't matter as far as their qualities and talent are concerned. But these 5 ladies were born to be on stage, and this is not only transmitted to the audience on site, but also to the viewers in front of the screens. For me and many others, these ladies are the best the rock genre has seen and heard in decades. Not quite convinced yet? welcome po sa pigeon hole....im a fan and im a madiac.... this band is phenomenal talented talga to thats why i hook this,,, this is not your typical band u useally hear but if you dig deeper po you will amaze how they create thier craft.... hard rock po sila pero nag rarange sial from metal to ballad rock ,,, they are well diverse and dynamically goo... i assure you po you cant get over this band , they are gaining popualrity,,,, thier two song are feature in a movie KATE ,, i recommend po to react choose me and blloing song.... this was a dream project by a person from their rhythm guitarist miku kobato and also the lyricist and the song writer was the lead guitarist kanami tono....hope you well react more i well be hype....

Miku Kobato (founder, backup vocals, rhythm guitar) was working at a maid cafe when she came up with the idea for the band. So the maid costume idea came first, and the band name followed later. As you dive deeper, you'll discover that only four of them are human, and one is a pigeon. "Kobato" means "small pigeon" in Japanese, so it's become a running joke with them that Miku is actually a pigeon! When she talks, she will end many of her words and sentences with "Po," which is short for "kuruppo," which is the Japanese representation of the sound of a pigeon or dove's coo. Many fans will also use "po" in their posts, so that's what that is about if you see it come up, po!

I’ve read speculation that Kobato isn’t her true surname, but that she adopted it to serve the pigeon identity. Any idea whether this is true?

@@Metal_Auditor It is likely an assumed stage name. Prior to Band-Maid, she was using the name Mika Noguchi, which also may not be her true name. I'm not sure which came first - whether she assumed the pigeon them because of the chosen name, or whether she chose the name because she already had a fascination with pigeons.

Miku who is the founder & rhythm guitarist calls it, "The Gap" between their apparel & their music. Miku worked in a Maid Café & decided she wanted a band dressed as maids.

BAND MAID calls it THE GAP! there's a gap between how someone appears and what they do. Miku has said that was what she was going for. KANAMI TONO - LEAD GUITAR Miku Kobato - RHYTHM GUITAR Misa - BASS GUITAR Akane Hirose - DRUMS Saiki - VOCALS We are MAIDIACS! We like to see when another MAIDIAC is created just by listening to these ladies. People who appreciate musical talent love this band. There will be many many suggestions for the next song. There will NOT be a bad choice.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Band-maid! They are one of the best rock bands in the world. Band-maid just made their movie debut in the Netflix movie Kate. There two songs in the movie. Some suggestions for Band-maid songs Thrill, Freedom (live),Different, Dice, After Life or Warning! Have you ever react to the Japanese band name Scandal? If not you should check this band out.
