First Time Watching **DESPICABLE ME 3** And Loving The DRAMA! (Movie Reaction & Commentary) 

I find it so surreal that’s Trey Parker of South Park fame provided the voice of Balthazar Bratt. On top of that, it’s perhaps the first and so-far only time that Trey Parker got to participate in an animated family film considering that 98% of his work is primarily doing _South Park,_ although he did work on the broadway musical _The Book of Mormon_ and _Team America: World Police_ which were also Non-South Park projects, Trey worked on.

One of the things that my older sister likes saying the most is “cheese is good for my soul”, and I totally agree with that.

While it's understandable you don't want to watch the Minions, I still recommend the second one given that The Rise of Gru is half a Gru story as well.

Honestly this was one of the weakest films of the _Despicable Me_ series and I didn't enjoy this as much as the first two _Despicable Me_ films and the Minions films including _The Rise of Gru._ For starters, the main villain as was a step backwards from the last two villains and another reason I didn’t enjoy this film was that their was many different subplots happening during the film such as Gru and Dru's relationship with each other as brothers, Agnes looking for a "Unicorn", Margo's date with Nico at the insistence of Lucy and the Minions shenanigans resulting in their arrest after they abandoned Gru, when literally it should focus on the former which is Gru and Dru’s bond with each other. So, my ranking from Most favorite to least favorite: 1. Despicable Me 2. Despicable Me 2 3. Minions: The Rise of Gru 4. Minions 5. Despicable Me 3

I had a feeling you'd like this one. If you ever get around to watching the Minions movies, I'll be there.

19:11 thankfully, I've never been involved in or in the same vicinity as a food fight. For me, the only thing worse to think about in terms of a food fight are the poor janitors that gave to clean it all up.

Also the villain was voiced by one of the South Park creators which is very funny.

One thing I’ll say about this film is that it was a little ignorant for Steve Carrell to be casted as Gru’s twin brother. Mike Myers should’ve been casted as the twin since Gru sounds so much like Shrek.

Also, I haven’t had the best couple days this week, so this reaction is making me feel better. ❤

I would say that the third one isn’t as good as the first one or the sequel but it does have some good things about it like I really liked Balthazar as the new villain I thought he was such a funky cool villain. Also it’s good to find out that Gru has a twin brother and that Steve Carell also voiced Dru as well and I’m happy you get to see more or Gru and Lucy’s relationship and that get to see how she is as a Mother and always happy to see the minions 💛💙💛 thanks for doing this franchise interested what you do next 😊😉

Hey Sophie I also recommend that you also watch The Hitchhiker’s Guide to The Galaxy, Galaxy Quest, The Waterboy, Inspector Gadget, Flubber, Anastasia, The Prince Of Egypt, Joseph: King Of Dreams, Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken, Team America: World Police, Disney’s The Kid, The Master of Disguise, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Scooby-Doo (2002), Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, Shark Tale, Turbo, Iron Man, Legally Blonde, Forrest Gump, Shrek, Chicken Little, Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of The Were-Rabbit, The Sixth Sense

Definitely the weakest of the trilogy, but it isn't horrible since it still has some substance like the animation being great, the villain being a lot of fun, and just like the first two films, there are some heartwarming moments. It'll be interesting to see how Despicable Me 4 turns out next summer.

This movie wasn't quite as good as the first two, but it had it's great moments, I love how well Gru and Dru bond, Lucy connecting with the girls, and of course, Balthazar Bratt is a hilarious villain.
